I understand what you are saying to a fifth power. But even Dominicans understand the injustice that has been going on in the US for years. 

Alot of them don't want to come to the US because of this. Why? Because people don't want to be considered second class citizen where ever they live.

Equality and equity is a crucial part of happieness when you talk about building a community. That's why America isn't very high on the "happiness" metric compared to other developed countries.

My bad,, I didnt notice  that i was in the K1 section.  

I cant speak much on the K1 process, but with the I130 you only need translations for the USCIS stage.
Since my embassy is in Santo Domingo (Spanish),  I can get away with not having to translate Spanish documents and texts once i get past the USCIS.

Its easier just to to get the essential documents translated.
And save all of the Text messages and such for the sideload at the NVC stage, in which you wont need to have them translated.

You can also goto "Portals" in between the "Forums" and "Guides" to help you find comrades( or shall i say amigos)  from Cuba that have created threads.

Nearly everyone on VJ frontloads their petition.
Personally i sent my evidence in during the initial filing of the petition.
Ive visited my wife 3 times sense my initial filing so I will "sideload" my petition at the NVC stage with updated pictures, boarding passes, Son's BC, and money gram history screenshots.

I too did NOT send a copy of my birth certificate, and was approved 6 months later without a hiccup.
