  1. Thanks
Bill and Claudio got a reaction from Larissa & Johnson in Important Considerations
Hello everyone, my name is Claudio and I am Bill's fiancé, I come here to answer some possible doubts about the Fiancé visa process. Doubts that Bill and I had during the process and that possibly some of you might as well have.

    (English)

1 - Does age difference matter?

No, for the USCIS what matters is if you have a real relationship. They will not judge the age difference between you as long as you send all evidence of a bona fide relationship to the USCIS. Such as, screenshots of conversations showing affection between you and your fiancé, record any conversations between you two (Skype, whatsapp, email, letters).

2 - Being a gay couple makes the process harder?

No, since you prove you have a bona fide relationship.

3 - How long does it take to receive NOA2?

The answer to this question is relative, it can range from 10 days to 150 days, remembering that if the processing time exceeds 150 days, you should open an inquiry with the USCIS.
NOTE: The biggest difficulty for those who really love their fiancé is waiting! We go through this, days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months and months transpire in years. But all I can advise you is "Keep the faith, in the end everything works out." It does not help at all to keep looking at similar cases, you will see some cases that were approved in a matter of few days, while your case is still pending. This will only make you more impatient and stressed. In some ways it's really unfair some cases take a few days to pass, while others take 150 days.

4 - Can the petitioner receive the USCIS letter of approval before they change the status of my case on the site or app?

YES, my opinion as a Fiancé and computer technician is that this should not happen, but it is more common than you might think. Many people receive their letters of approval or request for more evidence, before the Status of their case is changed on the official website. That happened to us.

5 - How does case processing work?

About this fact, I'm not very sure. But here in the Forum people have said that when the cases arrive at the USCIS, they are disbanded among the staff responsible for processing. Some of them are faster than others, for this reason some cases are approved before others even having been received on the same date.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask, I do not promise to have the answers, but I will do my best to answer them all.

    I hope have helped!
Hugs and remember.. "Keep the faith"
