Green card in hand today!
It’s been a long old wait! I never did receive my EAD/AP but there’s no need to worry anymore!
I arrived in the USA on December 22nd 2017, married February 28th and filed for AOS on April 2nd.
December the 6th (almost a year after arriving!!) I have my card! Finally life can start!
Good luck to everyone else who is still waiting.

Approved at the interview and given VERY stern I structio a to apply for release of conditions 90 days to the two year mark.
waited an hour after interview time but interview was 10 minutes. The officer said they had all of our paperwork and just asked if there had been any run ins with the law.
very comfortable and professional interview officer.

It is conditional for two years, meaning you will have to file for Removal of Conditions within 90 days before those two years are up for a 10 Year Green Card.

Congrats! May I ask what documents did she need that weren’t in the file?
we failed to make a copy of our 485 before sending it 😔 and our interview is tomorrow morning.

Hi all,
Hope everyone is doing good and is almost through this process!!! I had my interview on Thursday November 1st and thought I’d share my experience on here since this forum has been so helpful for me these past 7 months.
My appointment was at 1030am at the Detroit office. We got there an hour early just to be extra prepared and were informed we couldn’t check in until 30 minutes before our appointment. We waited and then at 10:00 am we checked in.
About 30-40 minutes later we were called up. (Waiting is horrible...every minute felt like an hour LOL).
Our immigration officer was very kind, and seemed to have already reviewed our file. When we introduced oursleves she said she recognized us from all the photos we submitted (we literally sent over 100)
She asked us to place our things down and to remain standing to swear us in.
After she asked my husband who’s an attorney if he’s the one who filed our application and he advised yes. She told him he did a very good job and our application was very detailed and we had a submitted a lot of evidence.
She went through our application confirming all the information.
Litterally the only question she asked was “tell me the love story”. My husband explained it while she wrote some things down.
She then asked to see the original documents of our birth certs, marriage certs and etc.
We had brought a bunch of albums with us that we wanted her to look at but she literally said she didn’t need to. I asked her just to view our wedding album and she quickly did.
She asked us if we wanted to submit anything else in our file, I gave her some more bank statements, life insurance and etc.
She said she cant give a decision right now just has to review a few more things and told us we would know within 30 days.
Told us about removing conditions after 2 years and walked us out & told us to have a great day.
We walked out sort of upset as we thought we’d at least get a verbal approval since we felt it went so well.
Next day Friday afternoon, got an update “New Card in Production”. Can’t wait for my card to be in my hands and this process be over.
Thankfully our officer was very nice and professional and didn’t make us nervous. Felt like a casual talk.
Overall great experience and I hope you all have positive outcomes in the end as well!!

As noted in my signature, the online status changed to "Ready to be scheduled for Interview" on 08/08. However even as at today the status still hasn't changed, and I haven't received any text/email update regarding the interview date. I just happened to find the letter in the mail. I don't think the online tracker is very reliable.

They will send you a date in a letter and also update your status when they schedule you. They both happen a month before the actual interview date.

Just got a text that my status has been updated. Went to the case status online site and saw that "my card has been mailed to me." No "card in production" or any of the other steps. I'm not complaining, it's been 191 days and I'm probably the last April filer to get their card. I will be cancelling my scheduled infopass appointment as that won't be necessary now.
