Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone could help me out and just tell me, or make a list of all the things you sent to your fiance(e) after your petition was approved...does the US citizen have to send a copy of his or her passport and also new passport photos as well? Thanks you guys,
Alex

Another option is going to www.voipdiscount.com, its the best voip i have used and for more expensive countries such as Belarus, there is no other that compares to it. Many countries are free after depositing 10 euro in your account, if your loved one abroad uses it, he or she can call the USA for free, and that is to land line and cell phones...check it!! i just cant wait to talk to my fiancees in person! iam more then tired of this phone business...but what we do..?

do you all believe that because of this the petitioners that are in the nebraska section being sent to california are being delayed in approvals? Its a theory of mine, because i haven't seen anything from the CSC and its getting extremly fustrating..

Yes name checks happen at all stages of the USCIS, NVC, Consulate, Adjustment of Status, it is a pain, and slows things down, you can thank a few mad-men who flew planes into buildings for the extra precaution, do not get up-set with the government, USCIS is part of Homeland Security.I thought the name check will be done at NVC, not at service centers. Correct me if I'm wrong.Probably hung up in the name check, the service center has up to 6 months to process, and if you call them they will just give you the same info as what you see on line.Name checks happen at any point in the game, there is no predicting when a visa interview will happen, and if the interview will be a success.
About security checks see: http://www.usaimmigrationattorney.com/Secu...tiveReview.html
go to www.google.com, then click on google video just under the google sign,,,,then type "loose change"..... watch it, then discover something apaling

Its a mystery really when you come down to it...my fiancee and I have been waiting for what might be four months here pretty soon....what they are doing with my petition is unknown...i suppose they do nothing with it...let it lay around....maybe take a look at it once in a while and wonder if we're having a splended time waiting for the uscis to decide how my life shall play out...there might be a name check, but i wonder how hard it is to type in a name and see that there is no woman terrorist named ketino out there...what a sweet woman she is too, and its making me really fustrated and upset that i pay these guys good money to only watch my petition get passed by, by the october filers, which must have turned out not to be terrorists in a faster amount of time, or maybe had the most wonderfuly layed out packet to adjuncture, o, and by the way the vermont center must really kick A at not letting those darn terrorists recive a K1 since they get their job done in many situations under a month, sometimes a week ...its a joke. when i picture the uscis in my mind and what they are doing with my petition i see it laying on some dude's desk that doesnt care, he takes a look at me, and at her and says "well hey these guys are real young..im going to do a shoty job doing what i should have done a long time ago, my job, and make them stress out and realize more than ever that the world is not fair, and to be super patient and lonely as hell"
im sure thats what goes on.
alex
in time it all shall pass.....if the uscis wants it to.

I'm a student and don't make enough to meet the requirements. My parents have agreed to be my co-sponsors. I have a couple questions:
1. Can my parents use their total combined income?
2. Since I don't meet the required income, should I still send bank statements, pay stubs, and a letter from my employer, or is this something my parents will need to do???
Thanks,
Matt
Hey there, well iam a student as well, and a while back i asked the same questions along the same line. About the double sponser on one I134, i dont think that will fly, but iam not quite sure, my father is my sponser and so i cant really comment.
Yeah although your going to have someone else be your sponser you are required as the sponser of your fiancee to be just that, so take one of those forms and fill it out, if you have a nice part time job like i, write where you work, or perhaps "student part-time enployed" and then have someone at your work write them a little letter telling of your postition what you usualy earn and why that is,...your a part-time working student. Also iam sure your parents have filed your taxes and even though we make little just take a copy of your last years w2 returns and give that as your stance.
Your co-sponsers on the other hand, are required to prove that they earn an earning being above poverty level, for you and your fiancee no, just for her, being 25k or 25,500 iam not for certain what it is exactally, and is goes into further detail on the instructions of the I134 itself on what sorts of info your parents should provide, this can vary, but i hear 2 of the 3 listed ideas on how to do that should actually be done. The uscis does not want her to become a public charge, and so you must provide info and prove to them that she will not fall into that situation.
I am interested in the topic as well though and have been watching to see if anyone else replied, and so far nobody, so i thought i would try to help out by giving you what i think i know is solid info, but feal free to send me a message whenever, its nice to know there are other peeps in the same position as us, life is life, and we must get through this together!

Hey guys, a question, when I filed my K1 I wrote down that my Fiancée’s middle name was Yurievna, which in Russian is the equivalent of putting her dad's name, Yuri, with the last part to make her middle name, which isn't really her given middle name at birth, just a Russian/Belarusian tradition, and everyone there has one of these middle names. Do you think that this type of middle name would screw with the process?
Thanks

Right on, I just called the USCIS phone # and they stress that they process forms in the order they were received...HAHA! I know that all of the petitions are different from each other, but still I don't understand how mine can be that different that they just leave me behind! Man, all i see is other people with later dates then mine getting approved, and it is pure torture!! Iam so tired of that! But of course I will continue stress over the unknown and wait some more.

Remember that this Monday, there will be no action at the CSC, and also because of president Gerald Ford's funeral they won't be working on Tuesday, so who knows when they will start back up whipping those approvals out...I’m going crazy here!
peace to all

Looking on the USCIS web site I found this.
"If you find an error in the information on the last notice we sent you."
(which I did, because of my address being spelled incorrectly on the NOA1. I called them up and we corrected it, they sent me a letter saying that I updated my address, which i didn't, I only made a spelling correction.)
Then this information follows the last bit on the USCIS website.
"If you find an error on a document we issued, you will have to file an application to replace it, and you will have to return the document when you apply. If the error was caused by USCIS and you can prove it, you may be able to file an application without a fee."
Does this mean that way back in October, when I received the letter telling me they corrected my address, (which was not exactaly the situation) that I still need to file an application to replace my NOA1 with one that has the address spelled correctly? Must I do this now so they can continue working on my petition, or does this not apply to this type of document, in my case being the NOA1.
Thanks all!

But yeah, iam wondering the same thing, at the interview at the consulate do they require an original proof of the US citizens citezenship? Do you have to send the original birth certificate?
-
again thanks for the comment...iam just going crazy to as why they haven't approved yet and all these thoughts are swirling around. The comments on those possibly stupid questions really do help out, have a great new year!

Alright, thanks a bunch.
Would not putting the photos in the original petition in the manor that they suggest here be a problem? I wasn't well informed on how to do that so I taped them to sheets of paper with the dates accompanied by a small caption below them on the paper. Would this method do me wrong?
Thanks!

After receiving my NOA1, I called up the USCIS 1-800# and had them correct a small grammatical error that they had made on the NOA1(only one letter) and requested a return service. The return service letter was dated October 16th, would it be possible that they kept my file in the then incoming October fillers? Just wondering... and worrying,
Thanks

Hi everybody, just wondering if the K1 actually becomes expired after 4 months of setting at the CSC, or do they reupdate it after they continue the processing on the case? If it does become expired, must I call them up and tell them that I still wish to continue with the process?
Thanks
Alex
The CSC processes the petition. Once approved by the service center, it is valid for 4 months. There is no expiration during the initial processing as they have six months to complete the processing before you can even make an official inquiry into your petition status
If it takes longer than 4 months to get an interview or if your visa is delayed for another reason, most consulates automatically extend the validity but you can email them to be sure and safe.
Thanks a lot!

Seasons greetings everyone, i received my NOA1 on September 18th and is currently being handled by the CSC. I notice that a considerable amount of folks with noa1s of this month of September 2006 have been already approved, just what could the reason possibly be that they have decided to hold on to mine and the others petitions? Could one reason be, that when after finding out they hadn't spelled my address correctly (only one wrong letter in the wording of the address actually) they delayed my petition into the October filers since the return letter was marked October 16th? Or could it be that at the time of filling, not being informed of the proper way to send in photos, i taped them very nice and neetly onto seperate sheets of paper with the dates written below them with a brief caption, causing the officer severe stress and headaches possibley putting them in some sort of more proper format, again delaying this more than ever fustraiting process? Just wondering, these sorts of thoughts always taking over the mind.
thanks all

very true, its just nice to have some people who understand situations like these..finals week was tough and to add to it the constant thought of getting approved always gets the best of me. thanks for the encouragment, its so hard to talk to someone about going through this process at a level that they could actually understand how hard it really is. At least its Christmas time,
thanks man,

I love coming here to see that people generaly get approved every day, and I know that I should just not say anything but as you can see its impossible to do. Do any of you know why I and only a few others seem to have been left out at the CSC? My NOA1 date was September 18, and it appears that they are just moving on down the line into the up and coming October fillers. I had them correct a spelling error on my adress back in october, do you think they moved the position of my file into the October fillers? Iam just worried, and would love to have some sort of idea to as why that might be to cool my nervs. Thanks for your understanding.
have a great Friday night,
Alex
When is too late?
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas
Posted
Hello, Just wondering if filing for the green card after a marriage with the k1 visa may be mailed in after the three month date granted by the k1 visa. Reason being is that my wife came in on the 22nd of March and we aren't quite done with our next packet, i supose we'll send it in this following Monday the 25th, but that is past the 3 month marker, but we are married as of three weeks now, so is that ok?
Thank You!
Alex
