you do not need to be in the USA to file for CR1, many have done it from overseas as long as you can prove the domicile requirement or the intention to re-establish.

yes your parents can sponsor, I would however recommend you look at your options

and chose between K1 and CR1

each month Cairo sends a report to NVC to tell them how many open slots they have, each month can change.

I have seen months were no interviews for CR1/IR1 have been done

you can update your timeline and it can help with this

I have also seen many sitting at NVC waiting for interviews, and others with case completion months later get an interview before others who have been waiting for months.

he will have to turn in a passport in order for the embassy to put the visa in it, they will not give him passport and visa.

I would recommend he check into what he needs to do in his country to obtain a passport

Khallaf got a reaction from Apple Bee in Cr1 visa. stuck at AP for needed documents
my husband was stuck in AP for 48 for no reason, just white 221G and the AP box was marked, they did not keep his passport either, around day 54 they called him to send his passport back via Aramax he did and 2 days later got it back with visa.

Egypt it known for its backwards behaviour, but its another 60-90 days after you submit papers for review in AP.

    Good luck in your journey.

good luck, try getting something as simple as an address updated in the system correct at NVC but wrong address made it from USCIS to the DS260 where we put the correct address. My husband updated it at POE his green card arrived still to the wrong address..

With that I wish you great luck.

get married file for the AOS.

the denied VAWA case is going to cause your AOS filed to be closely looked at so make sure you have strong evidence with the new USC husband

classic blonde, I didn't finish reading it all.

if it isn't a required document they may not even review it, they only review the ones that are required, I am sorry I have smacked my own forehead on this one

@Apple Bee not sure why you are confused, anything you send to NVC get digitized and sent off to the embassy for review..when I said sideload she added extra things like chats, mortgage deed they have on their international home, chat logs and such all this was sent on to the embassy.

99.9% when they get your file they make a decision right then before the interview, at interview they are you some questions if they are confused about anything.

no I had my friend side load her case at NVC to be sent out to the embassy

I had my husband name added to all utilities, and the apartment lease, he signed the lease from his country, this can be used in evidence to show ongoing marriage, it doesn't make it smell fishy.

I was not talking about send in the tax information for the purpose of USCIS step but for NVC.

also filing joint married on taxes does hold weight and is considered evidence of marriage, granted isn't needed till NVC and for review at embassy.

No one piece of evidence is "enough on its own".   A good case will have a variety of pieces of evidence.  Filed taxes is a legal document normally generated during a marriage.  Thus, it can serve as good evidence.  Actually, it is relevant to the OP's question

BTW:  A rental lease can also show is responsible for the payment of rent during the rental agreement period(not just who lives there).

it is all completely relevant as the OP was asking what else they should provide with the petition, or asking if what they had was enough.

in the end it is all just paperwork right.

Yes but for those who do not have the same address or means to file jointly it doesn’t prove for much

I disagree.  Jointly filed taxes are good evidence...as are separately filed taxes with the same as address.

I do not think in any way that I am right on everything, however I trust the word of the MANY many other very seasoned members on this site who have stated multiple times on other threads that taxes are NOT proof of anything. I am not saying that finances are not good evidence, I am saying TAXES are not good evidence, as many other members who have been on this site for a very long time have also said.

aware it is not legal, also be aware that sometimes people have no idea on what to do, so they do have up to 3 years to amend, again with that being said should someone file single but really married they are only hurting themselves not the government. The chance someone is going to have what you call Tax Fraud brought against them are slim to none, unless the it is a benefit up in the thousands of dollar range.

with that being said it is important to check on the country in which a person is filing with, is it a high fraud country? if not simple and easy things are okay, however if it is a high fraud country the more of evidence you have the better.

This is not called forcing evidence but providing as much as possible

when giving out advise as to what a person has being valuable or enough, one must look into the country the visa will be issued.

I wish you tremendous luck in your journey.

Taxes can also affect the success of a marriage petition. If you are filing for permanent residence based on your marriage to a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident, you must prove that the marriage is bona fide, i.e. to establish a marital life together and not just to get a green card. As part of the evidence, the USCIS will review your tax returns to confirm that they were filed jointly.
Similarly, if you are filing a petition to convert your two-year residence to a 10 year residence, you must again establish the bona fides of your marriage. Once again, the USCIS will want to see that you filed taxes jointly with your spouse.

    1. File your taxes jointly with your spouse using “married” status, if possible. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will consider a jointly filed, married tax return as evidence that your relationship to your spouse isbona fide
