we are all here to help each other, if you think they might want proof you were out studying abroad, and you know you didn't fill out the I-407, I would go get the proof that you were enrolled in school and taking classes there to finish your degree, that way if that is the reason you aren't spending time doing it while you wait on the letter. I know it might be a waste of time, but it might not be also. I know many will say just wait for the paper, I guess I am the type to think ahead. and perhaps an over thinker lol.  what I do know is even if it takes a little more time everything will work out in the end.

I understand now, I guess I shouldn't be reading these things at near 2 am. So your wife filed for you, she is in the USA and you are in India, she also filed I-129F for the K3 visa so that you can come stay here while the papers are processing if I am understanding that now correct. might want to check with you B1/B2 visa if it gets revoked once the application is approved and sent onto the NVC for further processing. if your wife doesn't already have it there is an app to get for the smart phone that will allow her to check the status. right now there are some cases in March being approved as well as cases in April getting RFE letters. I know what she is going through my husband is overseas, if she needs someone to vent to, let her know I am here to listen and talk.

Crysta, I will walk with you through this process to the end and beyond. We are here for one another and I want you to keep busy and keep faith as that is what keeps u going. Your husband will join u and then all of us can look back and say, wow we really made it...
This process is not easy and we shed many tears but in the end it will make you stronger and after all said and done you can always be there for the next person also needing a person who cares and who’s there for them in time of need.
You’re a very sweet person and God will see you through all this...
Come on Nebraska get moving.. 😀

I know that we will all hang in, I know that we will all be tough, we can all complain, sometimes it makes us feel a little better, but we will all be there to support each other, and give them as much information as each of us comes across and have experienced.

no it was a tier 1, and when I called back to talk to a tier 2 they told me that they can't see that so I never should have been told that. I got so fed up in the last 2 days of calling that I placed a call to my congressman's office, gave them all the information I had about the Nebraska service center, and she told me she was going to make a few calls, and dig deeper into it and I would get a call back by Monday. I don't know how much weight the congressman's office is going to be able to do but it was worth a try. I am just beside myself that the other two service centers who process the same cases are into June and July approvals and here we are stuck in a black hole of Nebraska. I filed not one but 2 expedite request because of the ISIS threats and attacks and each time my request has been denied. I told them I fear for my husbands life. Guess they don't take ISIS threats too alarming. I have anxiety every day waiting to see if I will wake up and my husband still be alive  this wait is torture, and there isn't a single person that is working in the Nebraska center that even cares.

you can go in and change your last name on your SS Card and DL, all you will need for this is a copy of your marriage lic that you get back in the mail.

you are welcome, they are only talking about cutting the number of DV lottery winners, and cutting down on those that are here on work visa from being able to get a full PR green card.  With respect to those that are here on PR green cards, you can apply for citizenship once you have been in the USA for 5 years. Once you become a US citizen you can apply to have your spouse and child come to usa. They will be restricting the VISA's give on what they call the snowball affect though but that will not happen for sometime. What I mean by snowball effect is you bringing your mother or father over, and once they have citizenship bring over their sons or daughters, and then those bringing someone over. It will in the years that pass become only able to bring over your spouse and children, and then limit the amount of Visa's for fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters....and so on....not sure where that will matter as those visa's are taking 5 plus more years to even process in some cases.

We have to show them conversations? My husband and I communicate through Imessage and phone calls, he cant take his phone in so how are we going to be able to show them the conversations? He has all the pictures from every trip on his laptop so he will have to go get them printed out to?

I didn't want to take any chances with there to be questions about my marriage, I sent in photos from every visit up to when we got married, it took me 3 months after I got married to make sure I had all the papers in order, everything was filled out, my legal termination of my previous marriage, copy of all pages of my passport, copy of my American birth certificate. I even submitted things that were not on the list, I didnt want to have to risk getting a RFE...I sent in affidavits from those who witnessed our wedding, and those here in the states that knew of our relationship my own personal letter about how we met. This process can cause so much anxiety.

I know how you feel, I try and travel every 6 months to my husband in Egypt as well, and during the holidays, when you want to be with family, and you can't be with your husband it makes things that much harder. I don't know about you but seeing all these other centers processing and giving approvals in May makes it just that much worse to be sitting at Nebraska, I know they are moving up they are in Feb now, but just so slow moving.

I am right there with you PD 5/8, Nebraska is taking so much longer than anywhere else.

Honestly if any group has the right to complain about how long things are taking it would be those sitting in Nebraska.

to answer questions 1, the USCIS will only ask for your tax return, if that isn't sufficient, they will ask for bank records, and such. You will need a copy of W2, and to be safe the last 3 years of tax records is all they will care about. You only need to make 125% of poverty level.
    Household Size Annual Income Federal Poverty Guideline (FPG) 125% FPG 1 $12,060 $15,075 2 $16,240 $20,300 3 $20,420 $25,525 4 $24,600 $30,750

    2. USCIS will not care about your job changes the Evidence of support paper that you fill out is all they are going to care about.

    3. you will not need to worry, relax take a deep breath and things will be fine.
