  2. Hi PW! Pls update our timeline. I just called USE in Manila and they said our case arrived last October 23 '06. Thanks alot! :)

Thank God I finally was able to talk to a live person and not the automated operator! They wanted me to call the call center (which is very expensive!) so every time they hang me up, Id call them back. haha and I think the girl got irritated and entertained my call. but she told me to call the call center next time.. lol

  3. Hi! Ive read ur other post about calling the USE in Manila.. What time did you call them? I have been calling them the past few days but i couldnt get a hold of anyone. Just the automated answering operator! and I have called the call centers couple of times but they said our case is not yet there. :( I want to talk to someone from the USE in Manila but I dont know whens the best time to call them. and I dont want to call the call center coz they're so expensive!

    Amazed by Lonestar

  5. awwww... :( I used to work in a call center (not as telemarketer though) and i feel bad for the telemarketer.. I know how hard it is to talk to some americans (not everyone), I have not personally experienced being cursed, cussed or whatever they call it but my friends have :( I know telemarketers are irritating but after working at the call center, i just say "no" in a nice way. They're just doing their jobs.

now that I have a US number, i get calls from telemarketers like 3AM my time! I just ignore them or press answer then press end.. lol

    PEACE!

  6. My fiance got sick after we had our engagement party here. He threw up alot couple of hours after the party that night :( that was horrible but he is fine now.. Anyways, He thinks its because of the Lechon sauce but i think it was because of the chicken salad. We ate the same food but none of us got sick but him so for me, that only means his system is not used with some of the food we gave him.

over all, that was the only time that he got sick during his trip here in the Philippines. I brought him once in one of the food court here (to give him idea of how we eat here and show him some of our food) and thank God he didnt get sick. just the night of our engagement party, he really think it was the sauce (gravy).

  7. umm.. what's the cheer leader power beside fast recovery?

oh so that guy was really trying to rape her? i mean i didnt see that episode

Her power is that she's invinsible, indestructable, you can't hurt/kill her!!!!!

FYI, that guy was trying to rape her two episodes ago and shoved her when she was getting away... caused her to fall down on a big stick that lodged itself into her brain... killing her. That is until the ME pulled the stick out and she came back :P She's awesome but then again they all have super cool powers.. it's hard to pick which one is best... That one chick... the webcam chick... I haven't really figured her out yet.

She has an alter ego is what I am guessing...kind of like split personalities - Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde type of thing

Yeah, i think so too. Im just wondering, does she get possesed? how is she able to use her power? Her power is in her reflections i think but im confused of how she's able to use it

And that guy that was trying to rape her...after she fell on the stick and "died" didn't he throw her body into the river or something...basically he covered up the crime. I loved the look on his face when he saw her in school the next day

Im from the Philippines and we dont have Heroes here yet but I've seen the 1st and 2nd episode (thanks to youtube.. lol). I like it. How do u like Hiro? lol My fiance (who also watches and who actually told me about Heroes) doesnt like him but we both laugh whenever he mimic hiro's "hello new york!" hahaha..

I personally like Hiro, he is so funny lol... My fiance didnt like the idea of the the drug addict being "high" to be able to use his power. I dont know what has happened already on the show :( Im having a hard time looking for it on youtube because NBC is stopping it :(

I know that you can watch the latest episode on nbc.com for free but it only shows the latest episode so you have to watch within the week or it will be gone.

I've tried that already but it said "not available in your area" :(

  9. Hi everyone! Thanks for the welcome PW :)

Ive read somewhere here that the best time to call USE Manila is 7:30 -8:00 am? Is that why I couldnt get a hold of anyone when I was calling them around 2-5 pm? why is that?

I also called the call centers (Sobrang mahal!) 3 times already to check if our case has arrived Manila yet since it was sent last October 12 and the ladies said its not yet there :crying:

and I just called department of state awhile ago (thanks for the numbers Uling! ) and the visa specialist told me our case is already in the system (USE in Manila) but the hardcopy is not yet in there :(.

Whats taking our case to get to USE Manila so long??? :(

and by the way, what else should I wait for (aside from us waiting for the case to reach the USE Manila)??

Will they send a letter telling us that they already have our case or I will be waiting for the instruction packet na? Whats next for us guys? Thanks for future helps ;)

  10. I don't know what everyone has to talk about for 4 hours every day! Is there really that much new stuff to say?

There's just not really much worth saying when you talk to each other every day.

Maybe a lot less goes on in your lives than other people? Food for thought. ;)

    :lol::hehe::lol:

Im sorry you guys, if you dont talk for that long. thats great then! lol

As for me, I can talk to him all day, i dont mind. And i wont mind talking to him about nonsense stuff either.. lol unfortunately, we cant talk all day because of work...

    :wacko::hehe:

  11. I don't know what everyone has to talk about for 4 hours every day! Is there really that much new stuff to say? Maybe my husband and I aren't "phone" people (well, he certainly is not-he's a typical phone-hating man) but we talk maybe for 30-40 minutes a day, and a lot of that is silence. There's just not really much worth saying when you talk to each other every day. But that's just my opinion on things. I tend to like our phone conversations more than he does-since we can't spend time together physically, it's our "time spent together" but he just hates talking on the phone to anyone for any reason.

We dont talk for 4 hours straight (during the weekends, we sometimes do). We talk in the morning and evening- when he's home from work. And yes, sometimes theres not "much new stuff to say" but its ok. The fact that he's on the other end of the phone makes me happy. :luv:

  12. "When psychologists talk about intimacy, they're generally referring to two components. The first is the ability to verbalize fairly deep vulnerabilities -- for instance, to say "Do you love me?" and "I miss you." The trickier, almost subconscious part is maintaining the feeling of being intermingled in your partner's life, a state the experts often refer to as "interrelatedness." Couples that are geographically close establish this by discussing the mundane details of daily life, whether it's the fact that you had to take a different route to work because of road construction, or that you have a 2 p.m. meeting with a new client, or that you had a turkey sandwich for lunch."

The fact that I talk to my fiance once a week boggles people's minds. We don't need to talk every day & I certainly could care less if he ate a turkey sandwich.

That's such BS - it implies those of us who don't talk every second of wevery damn day About NOTHING are lacking in our realtionship.

I call it faith in my partner & security in my relationship that we don't need to talk/text/chat a million times a day to be reassured of his love. I have a life outside of my fiance & I hope those of you who talk 4 hours a day to your partner can find one. We lived in the same city for 2 years & didn't even see/talk to each other every day. We're very independent people.

I talk to my fiance more than 4 hours everyday - not to be "reassured of his love" but because WE LOVE TO TALK TO EACH OTHER. And guess what, WE HAVE A LIFE.. We miss each other so much and our phone conversations helps us get through all these.

That is not a nice one there..

  13. My Fiance shipped me the Vonage Device. I already have DSL, so I just plugged the device and call away. :)

website vonage rates for phils is .18 cent/min How can you talk as long as you want? Unless you are shipping the vonage box to the phils if your sig other has broadband in her home and the ISP isn't blocking known voip ports.

    more info please tell?

    $80/month unlimited both directions http://www.pinoycalls.com/

Cox cable recently offered a Philippines plan that's $8.95/mo and includes the first 60 minutes. Additional minutes are 13 cents/min

VONAGE OR SKYPE ALL THE WAY.....Vonage cost me $25 per month and i talk as long as I want.

I also use my skype for free calls.

  14. 14 hours difference here:

Webcam, Chat and Talk.. Talk... Talk... Talk on the phone

We talk 2-3 hours in the morning (after his work) and 2-3 hours in the evening before he goes to work (Philippines time) on the phone. Sometimes I call him in the office to say goodnight or he calls me on his lunchbreaks. And 5-6 hours during the weekends (thank God for Vonage).

Thought about Vonage. But my cell is my only phone so I don't think that works.

Even if you only have a cell it would still work.....sign up with Vonage then send the phone

adaptor to you SO so she can call you and you can call her any time and it's a local call.

For me this is a God sent. My bill was running over $1000.00 per month before Vonage.

It is trully God Sent! We saved alot and we can talk as much as we want which is great! and the call quality is great too!:thumbs:

  16. Hi guys! We just received our NVC Letter yesterday, October 18 but before we even received the letter, we already called NVC and was told that our case was already sent to the Manila USE last Oct. 12. I tried calling the USE in Manila but I couldnt get hold of anyone so Im not sure if its already there.

Anyways, anyone here who received their NVC Letter this month? When do you think our schedule for interviews will be? I hope it will be in January. ..

  17. My fiance in the states sent me a Vonage Device. He pays $25 monthly for unlimited calling and works great! we can call each other as much as we want, anytime and everytime we want to talk to each other.

PLDT DSL gets disconnected sometimes but its ok. No more expensive phone cards!

we really suggest you send your fiancee's vonage if they have highspeed internet and start talking for as much as you want.. :)

  18. Mine took 5 weeks to get to the NVC. BTW, the automated system does not work for K-1's They are their so short of a time it never gets in there. The only way to find out is to talk to a operator.

Thanks Gary! My fiance and I have been calling NVC and listening to this automated system telling us that they dont have our case yet. After reading your post, I called up NVC just awhile ago and I was sooo happy to hear that they already sent our petition case in Manila October 12 and gave me our case number.. yipeee!!!!:dance: Thanks for the info. :)

    Good Luck to everyone!

  19. My wife speaks English pretty well. The worse thing she does is mixing up him, her, he and she. Will start talking about a man and say she. Have to ask her who the hell are you talking about. LOL

These are the common problems for Filipino's.. haha.. I know, Im guilty of it too..

My fiance said my english is great but im still worried about it and scared to commit wrong grammar or something like that. I know he doesnt mind, maybe I just got used to (in my case, other Filipinos) who laughs at the mistakes of those "not so good in english" people.. (which is wrong!)
