  1. We have to support one another.

Maybe that "ride" was not over 2 months but longer - before the application was even mailed. Some couples have been dealing with long distance for a very long time.

We never know what people are going through.

 How does a dozen or so people saying Congrats support me? I'm over 100 days into this with no valid reason for a delay other than incompentence at USCIS. You wait for 100 days or more and then you come back to me and tell me that we're here to support one another. We're all here to get approved. Only a very few of those who have gone ahead actually come back to lend their support, such as Gary with his timeline updates. He doesn't have to do that but he does. That's support. Jumping online and saying "what a ride" after only 60 days wait for your N0A2 isn't support... that's happiness for yourself and telling everyone here serves what purpose? Sure they have a right to express their happiness but no matter what you or anyone else says.. those who are still at CSC that are over 100 days of waiting for their N0A2 really only want one thing.. our N0A2!! I hope you get yours sooner than later.. but only until you've waited and waited and waited some more can you ever understand how any of us feel about it. The clock starts ticking when you you submit your application. How long you waited and were away from your loved one BEFORE you submitted your application doesn't add into the waiting time AFTER you submitted it. Gee.. just because someone waits a year or more before they submit the application for a K-1... that's supposed to make us all feel sorry for them?

Wishing your own suffering on other people is so childish. It's fine and very understandable to be frustrated, but invading someone's joyful NOA2 thread with your own pity party is just pathetic.

Anyway, you'll get yours soon.

    Here, here...

    Obrigado,

    Mateus

  4. I'm wondering if I've got my NOA1. This is what I see when I log on to USCIS.

    "Current Status:

Your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was received on October 24, 2006. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates."

I know they'll mail me a hard copy of NOA1, but is this the same thing?

    Thanks,

    Matt

  5. My check was finally cashed a week after I sent my petition. I got my WAC# off the back of the check and have checked my status online for the first time (I've already got the urge to keep checking...). Anyway, now that the check has been cashed, how long does it usually take to get NOA1?

    Thanks,

    Matt

  6. OK, so maybe I'm getting overly anxious. According to the post office, my packet was received by CSC on mon. and they still have not cashed my check. I know it takes about a week for NOA1, but how long does it take them usually to cash a check. I just want proof that they've actually opened the envelope.

Now I'm gonna go to the gym and work off some of this anxiety.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  7. I just got online (usps.com) and typed in my tracking number for my package that I sent to CSC through the post office on fri. and got this message:

    "Status: Notice Left

We attempted to deliver your item at 7:33 am on October 22, 2006 in LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA 92607 and a notice was left. A second delivery attempt will be made. If unsuccessful, we will hold it for five business days and then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later. "

Will CSC pick up my package at the post office, or is it actually going to get sent back to me???

    Thanks,

    Matt

  9. After about a month of preparing documents and waiting for my girlfriend's papers, I've sent the petition of to CSC.

I am, of course, "second guessing" everything I sent. The main thing that worries me is the evidence. I didn't send any copies of boarding passes because I didn't think to keep them at the time.(I had no idea I would need them.) Anyone think this is going to be a problem.

I DID send, 5 or six pictures of us together during Christmas 2005, New Year's, and Valentine's Day and a few other misc. pics. I also sent copies of bank statements and transaction histories showing I withdrew money from an ATM in the town she lives in. Finally I did send copies of my flight itenaries, which the travel agency I flew through was kind enough to send me and copies of all the relevent pages in my passport. (entrance and exit stamps, student and turist visa and of course the first page with my picture.

Anyway, does this seem like enough (am I just being paranoid)?

    Thanks,

    Matt

  10. One VJ member theorized that the processing in CSC involved putting glue on the application folders, throwing them up to the ceiling... When they fell, they considered processing them...

If this is true, perhaps they have switched to a stronger glue???

Honestly, there is no excuse or rational explaination for why Vermont can often turn around and approve a K-1 application faster than CSC can mail out a NOA1... Don't bust your brain trying to figure them out.

Double check the guides, send in your application, and hope for CSC's best effort... Good luck on your journey!

I'm still waiting, mail off your application and have seat, you are welcome to share my popcorn! :pop:

Wouldn't it be great if there were enough members of this form who lived in CA that could picket out in front of the CSC office. I'm still trying to think of some sort of "catchy" slogan we could yell. Anyone have any ideas??? It probably wouldn't get anything done any quicker, but at least we could keep ourselves "occupied" while we wait, right? Right???

    Matt

  11. Here are this weeks timelines. I added Sept to the list. Please update your timelines if you have NOA 2.

On a personal note, Sorry I was so abrupt last week. I had a few problems that are worked out now. If your curious just go to the off-topic forum and look at my post there.

    http://garyandluz.com/timeline.html

Thanks so much for the timelines. I haven't even started the visa process (still waiting for my fiance's dog gamn documents to arrive from Brazil), but I absolutly LOVE looking throught them to see what I can expect as far as waiting. They give me hope.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  12. Matt,

My gut feeling is that your gut feeling is correct. Put down as much of the address as you can remember and fit into the space provided.

Did you really live in Sacramento, or were you there only temporarily, passing through or visiting? I spent 3 months in San Diego once, on loan to a company by my employer for a special assignment, but I wouldn't say that I lived in San Diego. More recently I took a 1-year consulting job in Thailand that stretched to 2 years, and I would say that I lived in Bangkok.

    Yodrak

I was living/working, but for only about a month and a half as I said before. I'll probably write a quick note to explain the situation. I was just worried because I know people have been RFE'd for leaving gaps on employment history and past addresses.

    Thanks for your thoughts,

    Matt

  13. NOOO!!! You can't leave us! Your timelines bring light at the end of the tunnel when all hope seems lost!!!

Ok, so I'm being a little dramatic. But we are really going miss you guys. Good luck to the both of you and we wish you all the best.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  14. What should I do if I can't find one of my old addresses? I lived in Sacramento for about a month and a half during the summer of 2004, but I have no idea what the actual address was. Should I just give a short explanation on the g-325 attatchment? Any other suggestions??? My gut feeling is that it really isn't a big deal and I'm just over-thinking things (as I usually do), but I seem to remember a few people getting RFE'd for stuff like this.

    Thanks,

    Matt
