  1. hi cathy congrats...by the way if ur parents get their visa january r they going 2 come ryt away? coz me i will wait till spring coz i dont like my dad to hav a hard time adjusting the weather...

Thanks! If they get their visa by january then yes. We have some sort of reunion with my other relatives here around February and that would be perfect to have them here by then. Btw, since it was just case complete, when would they have their medicals booked? Do i have to wait for the email notice??

  2. Good news!! My parents case was complete as of yesterday as confirmed by the AVR & the lady operator!!:dance: Thanks God!!! The lady I talked to said that I have to wait till next week for the next set of interview appointments for January as December are full. And my parents & I will receive mail & email by the coming days as well for the interview notice..:dance:

congratulation mooninlove. and good luck for interview.

Thanks smithjohnatpa! After so many setbacks whew! what a relief!..And my thank you to all of you who helped me in this journey..

  3. Raj,

where do we need to mention our local consulate in DS230 or we need to call and tell them? I haven't seen any option to put local consulate name. I am ready to send DS230 tomorrow.

    Thanks

    JS

it was not on the DS230 but on the I-130 form application. If you remember on page 2 where it mentions when the relative is not eligible to adjust status,he or she will apply for a visa abroad at the American Consular post in xx (city) xx (country). This is if the relative is not in the US yet and is applying for it.

  4. thanks cathy and Raj....do i need to wait for a medical appointment? or i can just scan the copy of noa1,noa2 and completion letter and email it to my dad..and he can go anytime for his medical?

I don't think you'll receive a medical appointment. The email notice serves as his appointment. Email those letters to your dad and bring it with him when he go to St.Luke's. Aside from that, he needs to bring his passport and 2x2 photo. The current fee is $213.35 for adult. I posted info of St.Luke's here, forgot what page it was of this topic..Goodluck!!

thanks cathy hey by the way how's ur parents status? maybe our parents have the same interview date

sana nga :) tried to log-in yesterday and failed so it's a good sign! like everybody else here who had "Log-in Failed", the case would be complete in a day or two. yeah, i'm looking forward to a January interview for my parents, crossing my fingers for that. Who knows, they might have the same date of interview.. :)

  6. thanks for your answers,i sent it today in the morning via express mail to nvc, post office told me it will take 3 days to be received.

I also received an RFE for my mom's DS230 gap residency. And after NVC received it on the 12th, the AVR message changed on the 18th. It's probably a delayed message but i'm hoping for a case complete AVR the soonest time. Still waiting here for case completion for almost 2 weeks now.. Check my timeline..

  7. I just checked AVR and talked to an operator and the CASE IS COMPLETED on 11/19/09.

I AM VERY VERY HAPPY and GOOD LUCK to all of them in the process.

The operator said i should be getting email in regards to Interview sometime in the first week of Dec'09 for interview date in Jan'2010. As the slots for Dec'09 are full.

THIS WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN EASY WITHOUT THE HELP OF VJers.

    All credit goes to VJers.

congratulations Raj456!!!!!!!:dance: and also to ssalburo, congratulations!!:dance: best of luck on their interviews!

Congratulations Ikyang!! Buti ka pa.. Your mom can bring a copy of that interview notice and set her medical @ St.Lukes. She can take the LRT and stop at UN Avenue (NBI can be her main point). Then 2 or 3 blocks from there (past PhilAm bldg.) is J. Bocobo St. That's where the St.Luke's Extension Clinic is. The address is : 1177 J. Bocobo St. Ermita Manila 1000. Their number is : 521-86-47 & 521-0020. They are open M-F 7:30-11:30am & 1-4:30pm. Bring her passport and 1 (2x2) photo. Currently the fee is $213.35 for adults and must be paid in Philippine peso at current exchange rate. USEmbassy is straight tru (by jeep) UN Avenue by Roxas blvd. hope that helps!

  9. Hello ALL VJ family,

Apologies for not been here too often....my wife(lpr) had filed I130 for me in july 2006 from NEWYORK and my case was at the vermont office, finally after all these agonising years & months, finally received a email from USCIS which says......

    ""Request for Evidence

On November 16, 2009, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.""

I have no clue what it means ,CAN ANY 1 in here help me in regards to this,i am really nervous, after 3 yrs n some months for the 1st time i have heard some thing from uscis, hope this means good for me n hope that my prayers are finally getting answered,REPLIES will be much appreciated...

    GOD BLESS ALL.

    Thanx,

    Smartsud

It means they need additional documents from you. It could be something that has of course to do with your case. Your wife will receive this notice from the mail and it will state what documents is missing or additional proof to support your case. They'll give you ample time to gather the documents and return it to them at this xx date. After which, when it is enough to approve your case then they will notify you. Hope it helps.

  10. when you guys are saying check stub from the last six months, you mean i need to make a copie of 6 check stubs start from the month of july?

i dont remember sending my hubby's pay stub for the last 6 months. i only sent the recent of his LES (leave & earning statement), W2 and '08 ITR and it was ok..never received any RFE on our I-864.

  11. Raj, it can only be my guess, but it seems to me that NVC is trying to process the cases of people who applied in July first (as I remember you applied in August). That is why you have not gotten your approval yet. I hope next week you will get one.

Then I hope they complete reviewing my case the soonest time coz I filed May. I have setbacks along the way :) but everything is going well so far. I am hoping for fast review and case completion before this month ends.

And to you vveell and mymother: many congratulations!!!!:dance: best of luck on their interviews and medicals!

  12. Question:

I just received checklist email for my parents. It indicated to submit DS-230 and supporting document to Attn: Dr 31 Rochester Avenue, yet the cover sheet I got after paying IV bill is Attn: CMR 32 Rochester Avenue. I am confuse as to where to send the DS-230 package now. Please help.

The one from the checklist is for RFE like when you have not submitted those docs they needed. But since you just paid (that's the reason why they gave you a false RFE is that they have not received your DS230) and ready to send DS230 then you mail it to the address on the cover sheet. Be sure to include all ORIGINALS they require of you so you won't get an RFE. If you receive one then that's the time you send in missing docs at that address on the checklist (Attn: DR)..Hope it helps!

  13. can you tell me what did you submit with the i864? did you submit w2 or IRS tax transcripts or paystubs since you didn't submit employment letter?

    thanks

FYI, from what I understand, employment letter is no longer a requirement. I submitted my AOS without the employment letter and it was approved.

    Hope this helps.

we submitted recent tax copy, my hubby's LES & W2. Just the recent tax and there was no problem..

  14. Hi all,

Mooninlove, I'm about to be in similar situation as you, getting missing Doc (my original Birth Certificate, etc...) from NVC as the AVR told me this morning.

The worst part was I submitted these Original Docs to USCIS per the RFE and they told me they transfered everythihg to NVC after the case was approved. But now NVC said I need to send those in. Talking to an supervisor named Sue and she said she would ask someone to take a look into the file to see if they could find them in there. Hope they are there but if not, there will be big problem thanks to USCIS and NVC.

    Sigh!

You sent ORIGINALS to USCIS? I don't think they need that, just the copies unless told otherwise. Originals are sent to NVC (DS230 requirements). When I got my RFE from USCIS, I only sent copies and photos as required from me.I just sent to NVC today the originals of my parent's BC & their MC and my mom's DS230 part1. I sent along their Police Certificate & NBI Clearance as well. Best of luck to you..You better get a certified copy of your BC just in case. As they've stated on my RFE, they won't schedule any interview until they received all documents on the checklist. Goodluck

When I submitted the I-130, I sent in all the copies (Birth Certificate, Petition for Name Change, etc...) but USCIS were not satisfied and that was why they asked for Originals by the RFE...

The problem is that I think I made a mistake trusting USCIS (told me they transfered everything to NVC) and NVC (sent them e-mail and they would check for those originals to see if they were transfered, etc...but has not do anything til now), so I've waisted 2 months not knowing where those originals are...

I now hope they're either at USCIS or NVC rather than getting lost...Anyway, it has become a headache trusting both USCIS and NVC regarding the problem.

instead of waiting, i suggest to get originals of your BC in multiple copies. and send your BC to NVC as required from your RFE. they might not give ample time to look at it or maybe even bother to do it for you unless they truly are gonna do it but who knows? they have all excuses and whatsoever going in that office. so while waiting for that God-knows-if-it's-there-or-not,get your BC and send it asap. best of luck!
