Hi everyone..im back after a few months,I just want to tell everybody that my baby's petetion was approve last feb 18,we applied it last nov 16,2008 and now its approve..My husband is a US citizen..
Now my question is how many months will are we goin to wait before they send us her case number?
Is my baby's petetion will take year?actually my daugther is only 4yrs old..
I miss my daugther all i know it will take 6mos in the process because my husband is a US citizen so im counting it
and hoping this july this year she'll be here with us..
Somebody help me to ease my worry..
Thank you guy's and God Bless..
Maybe in a week/couple of weeks time. After approval of I-130 from the USCIS they'll send your case to the NVC for visa processing and after acceptance, they'll send your case # and the visa process starts. It'll be quick and before you know it, your baby is here! Congratulations!!!

Hi,
In May 2008 I got divorced with my ex. So I filed to remove conditions based on Bona fide marriage in July 2008.
I got divorced because in February 2008 my ex had an affair and cheated. My ex filed for divorce, because I've heard if I filed it would be much more difficult to remove conditions....So he filed and we got divorced very quickly after a year of marriage.
As support documents for my petition to remove conditions I attached about 2 pounds of documents: bank accounts, contracts for buying a house and a condo, lease for apartment, tickets from trips abroad together, contracts with vendors for our 2 weddings (yes, we had 2 of them!), health insurance, car insurance, pictures from both weddings, some other documents I cannot think of right now...But it was 2 pounds total - so I collected pretty good evidences...As well as letters from our friends who wrote what a loving couple we were until my ex messed up and what he did...
So my petition went to Vermont. Got my fingerprints and nobody "touched" it since then...As well as my case hasn't been forwarded to Cali...
My question is: Does that mean that I will have an interview since they did not forward my case to Cali? Should I start looking for an immigration lawyer?
Nobody knows if you'll be interviewed or not. If you happen to be interviewed then just prepare yourself for that. I have not seen posted topics of those who got interview notices, maybe it's rare. You have enough evidences to support your case so just relax and wait. The timeframe of regular & us wiver filers are similar. We got rfe's, sometimes not so everything depends on them..Best of luck!

Hmmm...I predict that this is a good sign of things to come for me (and for all VSC to CSC transfers too)....
I look forward to reading more e-mails from my new pen-pal "CRIS" soon!...
Ant (Still waiting to hear from "CRIS" again...)
I hope the next email from Cris will be "Card Production Ordered"! That would be nice!

Hello, I am a Green card holder and I want to visit my family in the Philippines. What should I need in order for me to fly to the Philippines and fly back here in the US without any problems? I am flying this coming monday March 9, 2009. Thank you.
Passport,ID's and your PR card. If everything are of the same name (passport, ID's, PR card, plane ticket) then you're good to go. You can always bring your MC and other important docs just in case. Enjoy your vacation!

[This is originally posted in the wrong forum (Green Card Forum). I am re-posting it here]
I am a US Citizen. I originally applied for separate petitions (I-130) for both of my parents. Both of the I-130 were approved. I "canceled" my mother's petition upon her death. Now, my father's petition is already on Visa processing (I am yet to send payment for the Visa as of this writing). I have already filed my Affidavit of Support for my father (I am waiting for further instruction from Visa center).
Question is:
I have a brother who is living with my father in the Philippines. My brother is turning 21 years old in 2 years time.
What are the process I need to file for my brother's petition?--> You may file I-130 for him or when your dad arrives, may file I-130 for his son, your brother.
If I need to file a new petition for my brother, how will that affect my father's current petition (since I already sent the Affidavit of Support for my father only)?-->none i think.
Is there any way I can modify the current petition for my father to include my brother? How? How long it will take? --->i'm not sure if you could include your brother but your dad's visa process takes a year or less (he may be here later this year or early nxt yr depending on your circumstances) and when your dad gets to the US, he'll receive in the mail his GC. He could file for your brother which could take 5-7yrs for unmarried and longer for married son(father needs to become a USC)..
Or, I just wait for my father here in the US and file for another petition for my brother? Another option will be for my father to petition my brother (father petitioning for a son)?-->you could do that too! filing for your brother takes longer (maybe 20-25 yrs.) so i suggest that you let your dad do the filing for his I-130 when he becomes PR.
What is my best options from the above (or you can suggest a better one)?
--> best option is when your father gets here, father files for your brother's I-130 which takes 5-7 yrs in most cases for UNMARRIED son. If he's married, your dad needs to become USC and then file for your brother which is longer to process.
Thank you in advance!
I hope that helps.

Pleeeeaaase, anyone who knows tell me....
of course of I didnt research enough about I-865- that my husband needs to file it....
Part 2- Info about the immigrant( me)- "FAMILY NAME"- should i put my last name before i got married or my husband's last name that I have now?? I appreciate the answer......
You put what you are legally using now, the current. If the petitioner changes address then you use the I-865 and if he does not and it's just you that moved then file the AR-11 for yourself.

what an interesting story!! the first part was quite funny and humorous wirth regards to your "badluck" but overall your story is worth reading for..never been to Canada but planning to go there one day..I hope this time you receive your new passport and your GC at the same time. Goodluck!

I am having my oath ceremony at a courthouse because of the name change. Is there anything different about having it there? Can i still have guests?
It says on the letter to come at 9.30. How much later would the ceremony actually start? I am not sure what to tell the people I am inviting to attend as my guests.
What was your name change for?? maiden to married, new name to include, married to maiden name? just asking coz mine was for married name now (all paperworks are still in my old name despite the replacement of GC after i got married) and my oath is at US District Court Central District which happens to be one of the 3 places where the ceremony's gonna take place. The other 2 were at LA Convention Center and LA Fairgrounds. I signed a paper the AO printed with all the infos and new name that would be place on my certificate..

Today I checked my status online and to my surprise it was approved and the card was ordered!. Case was approved Friday 13th 2009. Thank you for all the help you guys gave to me when I was preparing this, without you guys I think I would have been stuck and waiting a lot longer. Here's my story.
Mailed I-751 Received December 27th
Received Notice of extension January 9th
Received Biometrics Appointment January 12th - Appointment date 01/28/09
Did walk-in Biometrics January 14th at Seattle-Successful!!
Received notice of card order dated February 13th 2009!
Waiting 30 days for my card to arrive.
Alls I can say is WOW. I was really expecting this to take months and months and to be called in for a interview. This was all submitted to California who seem to be processing really quick. Hope everything goes as quick for everyone else as it did for me.
One quick question, once card is ordered can they call me in for interview or more evidence..or is that it?
I think that's it..you're good for 10yrs! Congratulations!!!!
In a week or less, you'll be receiving your card so watch out for your mail!

Not really. I had my interview on Jan 12 and my Oath's gonna be in 2 days. I had my name changed too. The timeframe between the interview and oath are pretty normal although there are lucky ones who gets their oath on the same day. See my timeline below.
