My fiancé got approved for her k1 visa. They will issue it to my fiancé on Sept 13. I have always planned to fly over to her country again and escort her back once she has visa in hand. Unfortunately, I can not fly to her until early November because of my work schedule.
My question is, does the 90 days to get married start ticking on Sept 13 or the day she arrives in USA?

Thank you very much for your help

Hello, I Submitted my I-129F and got approved. The National Visa Center has sent it to the US Embassy in Cambodia.
My fiancé is waiting to hear from US Embassy for interview but we have not heard anything yet and it’s been 6 weeks since it was sent.
Do we have to apply and pay the fees for the K-1 visa before she gets appointment for interview?
She seems to think she’ll get interview first and then we apply for K-1 visa after???

Thanks you Scandi. That gives me more confidence in that I correctly researched and she already has those two items to give me when I visit. I know we will need to do more research at the embassy stage. But I wanted to make sure I have everything for her when I submit the i-129F when I return to USA. Thanks again!

Hello All, first time poster here. Long story short, I met a wonderful Cambodian lady who is related to a friend of mine at work. Been communicating every day with her for 9 months now. I will be visiting Cambodia for 3 weeks to spend time together. Obviously, we have already discussed marriage. Been looking into the I-129F forms to start the fiance visa process that I will file once I return to the USA. Because it's hard to get mail in and out of Cambodia from USA, when I visit Cambodia, I want to make sure I get all the required documents from her as the beneficiary when I submit the I-129F forms.
From my research, these are the only documents I would need from her:
1 - Letter of intent to marry within 90 days of entering USA.
2- Photo of Passport.(Which she already has Cambodian passport).
3- Criminal History report with dispositions(Only needed if criminal activity)
It seems these 2 items are a little sparse? I would have thought she would have to at least provide a birth certificate too? Can anyone that has gone through the process give me anymore input as to what documents a beneficiary needs to provide for the I-129F form?

When does 90 day duration start?

She passed interview at consulate on Sep 5 and they told her visa should be ready by Sep 13.
She had had medical exam about 3 weeks ago as she needed documents prior to interview.
Process is going good and we are ready to move forward in life together.
My only real concern now is when does the 90 day clock start ticking to make sure we have time for marriage and adjustment of status?
