It would help if you updated your profile.
If you received your NOA2, then that is really fast. From what I've seen Philippines and Mexico tend to have approvals that quickly.
Sure will update my profile. Thanks

Congrats! You did direct consular filing (dcf)? If so that would explain the fast approval.
All the best going forward!🤗
Hi! Thanks
we didnt do DCF as Singapore doesnt have it. We filed our I-130 and noa1 feb 22 2017 and it went to Nebraska Service Center. Then we got email saying our I130 got approved march 31.

Hi Fellow VJs,

On March 30, 2017, we approved your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number Xxxxxxxx. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice.

I'm a US citizen and I'm traveling to Philippines this April to marry her. So we don't have to spend the next several months, or year apart. I thought, because I live very close to Mexico, that she could could travel there on a Mexican Tourist Visa without it jeopardizing her US Visa application. I know that she can stay there for up to 6 months on a tourist visa. As a US citizen, and I don't need a visa for stays up to 6 months. Does anyone have information on this "brilliant" idea? lol
That should be fine as long as she stays there legally. It also shows genuine marriage. Good luck

i switched my job after filing the I 130 as the petitioner. I didnt even consider it myself to be an issue. You have to fill out so many papers from start to finish. Our case took a little over a year to complete. Both myself and my husband switched jobs. We were not questioned about this at all. When a new form had to filled out and it pertained to employment we just updated that section on the that form. The Visa Center's main concerned is that you make enough money to support the beneficiary. The income taxes papers that you will submit near the last stages will prove it, regardless if you switch jobs. They request that you send copies of your income tax of the last three years.
Thank you for the advise. I appreciate it

****** Moving from Tourist Visa to CR-1 spousal visa forum ******
Switching jobs is fine, but I wouldn't do it too close to the interview if at all possible; you want a few months of the new job under your belt to show paystubs and that the job is stable.
Thanks for the advise. Might be switching job before we even get noa2.

Hi Fellow VJ's,
Anyone of you has changed job after filing I-130? Thinking of switching job but not sure if it will affect the application. Any advise is welcome. Thank you so much

I agree to most of their suggestions. you having a boyfriend in US and you wanted to apply B1/B2 with your daughter, chances are you will be denied. I am from Philippines and live in Singapore, i had a USC boyfriend before and i was denied. Glad it was denied though as i met my very wonderful (another USC) husband and now we are blessed with 1 kid (just telling story haha). You have been together for 4 years, apply for K1. My friend applied and got approved quite fast !
All the best

Application was delivered to Phoenix Lockbox this past Tuesday and we received the text notification on Friday.
Unfortunately our petition is headed to Nebraska, which currently shows abysmal processing times. Hoping for the best, but was definitely disappointed to see where it ended up.
Good luck to everyone!!Got the email today as well and ours is headed to Nebraska too. I read a lot that Texas processing times is so much better. But let's all pray for the best
