I had an issue with the address. Who in their right minds requires the exact address down to the punctuation!
Couldn't figure out where the period went or if i had used commas. I finally got through after about 30 minutes after realizing the verification address was the USPS verified one and not the one on my tax form (e.g., they abbreviated "Street" to "ST" and removed some punctuation). If he had an issue with the same thing, tell him he might be able to find the address to register via the USPS address verification tool: https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction!input.action?mode=1&refresh=true
He just got in and true it looks like it is the address issue and gah we have our old address in there! He has to call IRS to change he said or wait for the 2016 tax he filed via snail mail. We lived abroad by the way so goodluck with the super snail mail.

I just got my refund last Tuesday and ordered my transcripts via snail mail day of. Arrived yesterday so seems like it might be pretty fast. If he is already registered on the IRS website, he can also order his transcripts online if available in which case he'd get them immediately. Unfortunately, i wasn't registered and had to sign up. PIN gets sent via snail mail; transcripts arrived but PIN hasn't. What an odd system.
Actually he had a problem signing up on IRS website and tried via snail mail but he kept on getting an error

are all of you who can send their AOS and IV packages to the NVC before APril 15th, just sending the tax transcripts from 2013-2015? I won't be able to do that since I haven't even been assigned a case number, but anyway...
I am wondering if I would be able to send my packages in the first week of May or something, but don't have the transcript for 2016 yet (my husband already filed but no transcript available yet), should I just wait with sending the package in order to avoid checklists? would be the best, right? even if I have to wait longer before sending...? advice please
Hi, this is the same as my USC husband (im the beneficiary - wife lol) , We are planning to send the 2013-2015 tax as well. But he filed the 2016 tax already and will be sending a copy that he filed his tax as well. If we get the transcript before sending that IV package then it would be good too.

Yup. Once you get the case number and IIN #, you can log in to submit ds261 and pay the first fee. Second fee unlocks a week or two after they review the ds261 which is why it's better to call them to review once you submit it to speed up the process.
Thank you. This is super helpful

You'll get an nvc welcome letter from nvc but might take two weeks. You should start calling nvc to confirm when they received your file and for your case/invoice identification number (got mine about a week + after uscis sent out my file by calling nvc).
Then you'll need to submit the ds 261 and pay the aos fee. Call them again to review the ds261 over the phone which starts unlocking the IV fee. Then after another week or two, pay the IV fee when available.
after all this, submit your documents lol
Thank you so much for this JessieABC!
So i assumed that when i get my case identification number from nvc by calling them, i dont need to wait for the nvc welcome package to submit ds261?

were you also in Nebraska? I am wondering if they've even sent our case, but I decided to call anyway. Hasn't updated to Sent to Department of State yet...
Yea, Nebraska too!
We received an email on april 6 saying they sent our case to Dept of State for visa processing but USCIS my case status hasn't updated yet as well.
Once NVC receives our case they will notify us via email and mail the IV package right? Can you please let me know when you receive or hear any news from NVC? I will let ya know as well
Thanks.

May I ask what exactly did you input in section 22?
If it's not completed, like @VeVe said, it could result in a RFE.
Hi, if the beneficiary is in USA and will apply for Adjustment of Status then you will fill out, otherwise leave it blank.
we did the same and we didnt have to submit rfe

I feel like the uscis part has already prepared us mentally haha

btw, the link you shared is awesome! im using it now to prepare for nvc

~~Seven posts removed. This is not the thread to be debating the risks of vaccines or x-rays. Take it to the appropriate forum if you want to continue.~~
agree. im sorry for causing this debate. please no debates.. i just want an advice or if anyone had the same situation or planning to get pregnant and this topic would be helpful as well. At the end of the day all of us has the same wish to be approved of green card.
Anyway, goodluck to all of us

I shouldn't have any problems with baby vaccines before we move to US because my child will be USC right after. I forgot to mentioned that my usc husband, son and myself are living outside US.
Thanks for all the advices fellow VJ's. I appreciate it. It would be less worry for me as i have options already

Unless you trust the doctor\xray technicians, it'd be wise to postpone medical and interview until after baby's delivery.
That is true though. I dont really trust and if i have the option to delay it then i would. Thanks

Should take about 1-2 weeks even if they quote 6. I was approved 3/16 and my file was sent 3/22 - received by NVC on 3/30 so took about 2 weeks in between.
Thanks JessieABC,
We just received an email stating that our case has been sent

We had to do the xray (or postpone). The research I did indicated a very low risk of complication (my wife was only 2-3 months at the time) so we went ahead (with the shield).
We now have a healthy, happy 4 year old with no adverse reactions (that was able to be born stateside).
my thoughts to you, do your own research, make your own decision (it's your child after all), but you will have to do the xray (I do think they will waive the vaccines).
Good luck and congrats on the baby. (Our #3 will be here in June).
Thanks. This made me not to worry so much.
i have some research as well and i dont mind postponing the medical and interview as well as another option and hoping that USCIS would be okay to it.

Hi, I'm happy to hear that you got your letter from NVC. My case was approved on 03/16/2017 and I still have not heard anything from NVC. I couldn't take it anymore and called NVC yesterday and they said that they have not received my case yet. How long did it take after your case was approved for you to hear from NVC? The nerves are killing me.
thanks
Hi Sol1427,
Congrats on your approval. My case was on approved 03/30/2017 and haven't received anything yet as well. May i know if you have receive yours since your post reply was 03/30/2017? Thanks. I just wanna know usually how long does it take for NVC to receive our case. Thanks again

You'll have to do the medical before the interview, otherwise they can't process your visa. You could delay the medical AND interview until after the birth though.
X-ray's during pregnancy feels like an unnecessary risk to take, but many women have done it.
Thank you. That is what we are hoping. If i really need to do xray and take all vaccinations it would be better if we can delay the interview after i give birth.

This is not accurate, unless it has changed recently. The instructions were to supply a shield for the stomach.
OP: The vaccinations that are contraindicated during pregnancy can be waived, the others you will have to take.
Hi,
actually about the xray that is what i have read as well. Im not a doctor but i am not really comfy doing xray.
I was thinking if i can do the medical after interview. Because if everything goes smoothly with NVC, i will be still pregnant before the interview.

I'll be travelling under the VWP so thats fine. Apart from a return flight, I don't know how else to show them I'll be leaving. Just don't want to jeopardise the whole process
If you have a job, you can ask for letter from your company stating that you will be on leave and that you will report back on certain day. If you have properties in your home country, that counts too. Proof of funds.

If you are pregnant they will not Xray you.
3 minutes ago, ASMS said:congratulations!
You will get the vaccinations that won't put on risk your pregnancy. The doctor will decide that during medical examination. If you can get them before going to the U.S, then you will receive them after you get there
Thank you chardon Ne' and ASMS.
now i can stop worrying about it.

Hi VJ's,
I have been reading about these vaccinations and quite concern about it.
Anyone pregnant and did the all the vaccinations? Or these can be waived? Such us MMR, chest xray? Or it is possible to postpone the interview and get all these vaccinations after giving birth?
Thanks.

does anyone know if its ok to travel to the US while the I-130 is processing?
I haven't traveled yet to US during the process but i think it should be okay as long as you have a valid tourist visa and you can show that you will leave US before visa expires or something.
