You already got an RFE, so I would suggest you to get an official translator and have it notarize. There should be some company in your country who does it and shouldnt be that expensive. Better be safe then getting another RFE.

This is my second scan date. With the first, I got a checklist the 2nd day it went into review.
Oh, how many weeks did you get your first checklist? I hope this time it is CC.

Mine has been in the review department since 08/14. Hoping and praying for a CC tomorrow being the 9th week mark.
At least it is in the review dept. When we called it has not been yet. Let's hope we get some new before the week ends. Most of vj has 8-9 CC. or at least get news if checklist

Hi.. Anyone scan date June 21 got CC yet? Or Checklist? (im expecting checklist on mine). Been 9 weeks and i called last week and they said still not in review dept. I am still hoping to get good news

This is confusing. If you have submitted DS260 then you should have gotten the Cover Sheet. Check your email or ask your attorney about it.

Hi,
I know some beneficiary traveled to US while I-130 is pending was able to get in and others not, unfortunately. May i ask if anyone while on NVC traveled to US? We want to attend a family wedding and I wanna bring my wife and son. My wife is currently pregnant and has insurance that covers worldwide except US and Canada so i was thinking it would be a reason for her/us to go back to SG as it covers pregnancy as well. Other than that she is also working here in Singapore. Oh she has a tourist visa valid for 10 years
Thanks

Wow. So beautiful to see so many of you wishing us good luck today. Thank you so much because it worked. :-) they only asked
"Are you the petitioner" Yes
"Are you living together in France" yes. His response, ok wow.
"Where will you live in.the US.
Answered
"What is your financial situation"
Explained.
He then said to use assets the requirement is much more when you don't have a job.
So I asked, maybe it's 5 times more, he said, I don't know but there is a calculation, I will do it later. If all is well, the passport will arrive in 10 days.
Then we said, we have a joint sponsor if needed, julien clarified that yeah, we have her paperwork.
So then he took it, said. "That's great, no need to calculate now. All is good. Having problems with the computers so you should receive your passport with the visa in 10 business days. Enjoy moving back to the US. :-)
So yay, we're finished!!! Thank you everyone for all of your support. Heading home tonight, will be back online tomorrow to give a better review. Thanks again everyone for your well wishes. Really made me smile.
Have a nice day.
Ps, call the NVC to get your interview dates. Hehehe
JBMG (Julien / Michael) I'm the mg. :-)
I just read this! Congratulations!!!! Wow.. Finally you both will be in stateside soon. and please continue helping us

He called that number already and it was the automated phone instructions, which he had it sent but it's a PO box so i hope no one else is using it....
I'm now trying to get him to call the customer services instead, maybe that would help, otherwise he can just change his address, we still have not received NOA2 so it should be enough time hopefully.....
Thank you so much for your help
!!!!!
Initially we had ours sent to old address and my husband freak out because of his SSN , hence he called to be cancelled and requested for new one.
Maybe cs works
You will get NOA2 soon and it is always better to get things ahead of time

Sorry i need some help again, husband was punching in the phone numbers that appeared in "record unmatch" message, and he said it's robot voice and he chose the option of getting it sent but never asked for his current address!!
What is the number that we actually should be calling?
No worries. We help each other
If you try to request it via mail online, the address you need to key in was the last address that IRS has on file and it has to be exactly the same in their file. But be careful online because it wont send on current address, they will send it automatically to the address they have on file, be in old address and it wont be nice because if someone else is living in there would know the SSN of your husband.
However you can call IRS, my husband couldn't find the number he called before but you can try this from IRS website: To order by phone, call 800-908-9946 and follow the prompts. Your husband must verify everything though and request to be mailed to current address.

They asked to fill in the form 4506-T, is it required or should husband just call?
My husband didnt fill in that form. He just called IRS and requested for it. IRS ask what is it for and he said it is a requirement for Immigrant Visa Application. He called IRS about 4 months ago and requested for it and since we live in Singapore we got a week and half after by mail.

Good to know! Thanks for the info!
My husband said he has tried but could not get the transcript online... I will ask him to try again!
Online can be pain in the ###. Who would remember the EXACT address we key in or wrote when tax was filed. It has to be exact address as the one of IRS file. Keep trying
My husband gave up so he called IRS and requested for the Transcripts to be mailed

Wow! Congrats everyone!
I have a question, trying to get myself prepared for NVC package.
Husband said he couldnt get the IRT for the tax, but he has all W-2 records for past 3 years. Would that be enough or do we need the transcript from the IRS website?
Try to get the Tax Transcript from IRS online or mail. My Husband's friend submitted W2 and NVC requested for Tax Transcripts instead.

You'll be ok. :-)
Guessing you're using a joint sponsor or assets to meet the income requirements?
Thank you
I am only using Tax Transcripts. I filled out the I-864ez. 3 household. I think i was able to make it within the income requirement.

I submitted my American drivers license, voters registration card and bank statements which all have my permanent US address. I received a Cc without a checklist. :-)
I don't live in the US. I'm American living with husband in France.
The funny this is my US address in my bank statements, and phone bill statements are my old ones (i didnt really update because my sister is leaving there now and she is more responsible with my mails) , but the thing is I wrote my other sister's address as we intend to live with her first.
And yes, i am USC living with my wife in Singapore. Your reply makes us a less nervous now. We only submitted copy of DL, Bank Statement, Phone bill, Tax transcripts and flight to US every year.
I see that your interview will be soon! Go get it and goodluck

Hey there, from your timeline I think your scan date should be later than mine (14th June). I've seen most people get a checklist during the 8th week or so.
Let's pray for no such a thing for all the June scan dates 😉...good luck!
Oh, you've to call the NVC to catch that if it ever happens. Because they might not inform you about checklist until few days to weeks after it's issued.
Thanks a lot! June 21 is my scan date. Coming to 5 weeks now. I am more worried on Proof of Domicile. Hope it was sufficient. Otherwise, another 11 weeks. Will probably call NVC by end of this week to check as well.

Don't worry about not putting n/a on your paperwork. I didn't our scan date was June 3 and case closed date is 7/21. Best of luck to you.
Thanks! i am very concern still about proof of domicile. hope we gave sufficient evidence.
Anyone here knows. how long does it take usually for NVC to give checklist if there is any?
Thanks

If you have copies of the divorce decree, get it translated into English and complete the Recognition of Divorce. Annulment not needed.
The Recognition of Divorce requires a court process, a lawyer is best to have.
I see. This might help her. I was just curious why annulment is needed.
-
Does she have the divorced paper? Why wont the attorney not recognize it? I would advise for your friend to check around and search some information as well. She might not need to file annulment if she is already divorced. But then again i am not sure about Philippines government.
The attorney or lawyer might be ripping her off too. For K1 visa, she doesnt really need a lawyer for that. Just follow the instructions. Unless she doesnt have divorced paper.

I thought the ex-husband filed divorced already in 2011? has it not been finalize?

Well, Maybe you think it's not true, I'm just telling about what happened to me on May 20, 2017, and trust me it was so true when I was in detention for 10 hours @ the airport and the cbps agents were torturing me telling me the same things a lot of times, and of course I was so ignorant like a lot of people and I used my tourist visa on December 2016, march 2016, may 2016,and November 2016, the longest time I stayed in the United States it was for 1 month and 3 weeks, and it was only once, in some travels I just stayed for 15 days, or 1 month, I didn't do something ilegal , i didn't even stayed for two months never, and I made everything right, it was my first trip to the United States this year 2017, and of course I thought like you I was doing something totally legal, but trust me your not gonna believe it until you live it by your self, thanks god I tried to think about what's it was most convenient, and I didnt start fighting and telling them "yes but I have come 4 times with the same visa" , no I said I'm sorry, I really wasn't thinking to start living in your country, but if you think that I'm sorry, and I don't have another document to travel because I didn't know if I'm married w, an us citizen I wasn't able to travel w. My B2 " and thanks god i was allowed to withdraw my application for admission but I have read a lot of cases when they didn't be able to withdraw and CBP's agents gave instead of the withdrawal the "notice and order of an expedited removal" and your automatically ban for at least five years, so try to take advice from people who has experienced recently something like this, and if you go to the states again, first talk with an attorney
I didn't say what happened to you was true. What i am saying is not all are cancelled. One of the VJ's just went to LA this month with NOA1 only without any problem. I think it depends per individual and Immigration Officer as well. Considering you went 4x last year even though you didnt stay for a long time, it might raise an issue.
But i read that once you have NOA2, it will be harder to enter US. Anyway, i hope you get an approval soon so you can be with your husband
-
I wouldn't advice the invitation letter. Based on my experience, i was denied 2x in Singapore US Embassy. I was dating my USC ex bf back then. I read as well that VO might think I will be staying for good in US. I have proof of strong ties, enough savings and all but apparently it is a red flag.

My tourist visa (B2) was cancelled 2 months ago at the Dulles international airport, I'm married with an us citizen, and the CBP's agents told me since the moment I'm married with an us citizen the B2 visa is not the appropriate document for traveling to the states, Im sorry but I think you don't have a chance to get the B2 visa ☹️, the only thing my husband and I could do was applying for my green card , so I'm here at my country waiting for an approval...
Not true. I am married with US Citizen and been to US couple of times (2015 and 2016) to visit his family. It all depends on how long you will be in US as well.
Unless they recently change the policy.

Hi! My scan date is 6/21, Today my wife checked the status and it says AT NVC.. I understand that it means CC?
We read that if status says AT NVC it is most likely CC and when AOS changed from Paid to N/A. But when she checked the AOS she couldnt find it. She can only see this DS-261 and IV. There is no line of AOS. It disappeared. It that the case usually? Thanks
