So update to the people reading this. My status after the interview held on 25th Sept.

    26th Sept : Administrative Processing

    1st Oct: Application Received

    2nd Oct: Administrative Processing

Fingers crossed... hoping to get it by the end of the week or at least starting of next week.

Hi, i am also on AP i  Singapore US Embassy. May i know if yours has been issued and how long did it take from received to issued? Thanks

  2. So its been a while since my case. To sum it up, I was scheduled for Interview at US Embassy Singapore last Oct 2017, however i had to cancel and postpone it as i was pregnant and was on trimester and yes i didnt wanna do chest xray that time. I contacted the US to schedule my interview and they scheduled it end of this month. I am freaking out because i just realized that my Police Clearance is way EXPIRED. Anyone in Singapore can back me up here that getting police clearance take months as we have to schedule online.

It's a little bit late now, i am sure i will be on AP. My question is, has anyone experienced this?

  3. Are you still waiting for the interview date? If so it shouldnt be that far i guess. Once you get your visa, make sure you can fly before your due date. My petition is IR1 and have postponed my interview as i am not comfy with chest xray but my obgyn said it is fine but do it as soon as possible. Also, like one of the comments here, get married asap once you get to US because giving birth there without insurance is expensive. This is one of the reason why my husband and i postponed it as well. We are both living outside US so our insurance covers worldwide except US. :D

    Congrats though! :)

I don't have time to wait 2 months for the sputum test and culture to got thru....but I have the money to pay them off.   What do you all think of this?????   Do you think it is your typical scam to target those who might have money to pay them off?  If so...then I'm all for it....and as a former Forced Recon Marine....I will hunt them down later!!!!

Glad to hear you have enough money but bribery s doctor or physician working with US immigration is not a good idea. Be patient and wait for further testing.

as a former Marine who has planted his boots in 4 different countries absolutely knows how the world works.  Money pays Bullshit walks......and St. Lukes Medical Center doctors and employees are not American Citizens...they are employees working in 3rd world countries assisting the embassy.....if you don't understand the concept of bribery and corruption then please research "bullet in the bag" in Manilla.

Even you are former marine, that doesnt mean you know how the world works. As a Philippines citizen, yes, bribery and corruption in our country is crazy but NOT all. It is not because it is a 3rd world country, you can just pay them off. SLMC is chosen by US Embassy even though they are not American Citizens. Just be happy that they were able to see the spot. If it is nothing then it's a good news. If it is something then at least she can have medication.

I am not sure how your fiance told you about Philippines but it is not because we are 3rd world country everyone accepts bribery. And if you have ever been to Philippines, you didnt see the good side of it. Just saying

Also, I don't have US tax returns, which are requested on the Affidavit of Support, because I have only filed taxes in Austria since 2007. I plan to contact a tax lawyer immediately and move on that, and include a note to the affidavit saying we're moving on that.

I myself have been living outside US since 2012 and i can assure you that as USC you need to file taxes, be in state tax or federal tax or whatever the law requires.

With regards to the filing I-130 while wife in US maybe best to check with the experts as well.

  6. Is your visa expiring on Nov 3 ,2017 OR Nov 3 2016

Well, as long as you enter Vietnam before your visa expires then that is fine. But if your visa is already expired then if i am not mistaken there is visa on arrival of USC or you can check online how to do it.

    I believe you plan to travel Oct 5 2017 - Oct 19 2017 and NOT 2016?

    Okay. Here it goes.

I am a 28 year old male born and raised in the United States. Full US Citizen.

I have been dating a 28 year old female online from the Philippines for about 10 months. We have tried to do as much research as possible.

We are working on a b2 visa because of my fear of flying we cannot do the K1 because we have to meet in person which can't happen unless she comes here.

I plan on marrying here within tje next year but we need to meet first.

My goal is for her to visit me for two months. She will go home and soon after we will try for a K1.

Is this possible? I know the embassy probably doesn't care about my horrendous fear of flying over to her. If I could I would.

If my above plan isn't the right direction can someone direct me please?

    Thanks

    Matt

Seeing her and showing Boston (from your profile) would be good for her before settling down as well. At least you can get to know each other even for a short period of time.

No harm in trying B2 visa but she needs to prove strong ties in the Philippines. She has to be honest to CO as well, like what is the purpose of visit and all. What does she do? How old is she? These all matters. Goodluck :)

    Hi folk,

I'm new to this portal. Just received interview schedule from NVC. The interview will be in Singapore. Do I need to  "Register for a courier service"? Please suggest.

Yes you need to. They just wanna know where you want your passport/visa to be delivered, e.g Amarex...

I am going to have interview here in Singapore too on 25 Oct. When is your interview? Your IR1/CR1 or K1?

How does she demonstrate strong ties when she was not asked to present her documents at the interview. THe CO only asked to see her passport and application form. And she did no lie about who is paying for the ticket. She is paying for the ticket herself and i will take care of accomodation .What I put in brackets is how i would have liked her to answer the question

It would not be advisable for her to apply so soon. Doesn't matter if she answered what you have put in the bracket, usually the officer sees everything on the DS-260, either they request documents or not. Usually documents is just a proof. Her salary is stated in the DS-260. I was rejected 2x as well. I have travel a lot, SE Asian Country and Australia, Europe and I got rejected with the officer not asking any documents from me. Even my friend, she got rejected and her travel history is even better than mine. Her salary is better. She got rejected. How the officer assess if we have strong ties to our country without looking at any documents, that is up to them.

But, dont loose hope! Next time she can be more prepared and goes there to get the visa :)

Thank you! :) CC was August 17.

    Yaaaay! Congrats to you too!

wow. That is fast. I am a filipino and we are still deciding if we will need to transfer our case from Singapore to Philippines. We are doing IR1 as well. We are waiting for NVC to send us interview appointment. They said that if we want to transfer then we should contact USEM SG to contact USEM Manila to see if they will accept my case.

Did you get the interview email yet?
