I wanted to give everyone an update. We had applied June 4, 2019. It’s been “ready to be scheduled for interview since Oct 2019. In January 2021, my husband went for an info pass to get a new stamp. At that time they took his conditional green card and told him his file has not yet in the office for an interview so didn’t know when interview would be. But less than a month later, we got a notice for an interview for March 10. We went yesterday to Charleston for the interview. The entire process was less than five minutes and he did not even ask for or look at the additional information I brought. Post interview he actually apologized and said when he looked at the file, he was going to call us as he didn’t know why it was even sent for an interview. He also reminded my husband he could apply for citizenship at any time. It was a very very pleasant experience.

Just wanted to give a quick update on my husbands case in case there are similar timelines still out there waiting. My husband and I filed our I-751 in 2017 and N400 in 2018. Our I-751 application went directly to the California office but was eventually transferred to MSC due to a large back log we got caught in. We never had any issues with paperwork in our I-751 or N-400, seems like we just got caught in so many government shut downs and backlogs and our papers got put in some pile out of site. I am happy to announce though, as of 3/2/2021, we are officially done with this ####### storm! My husband had his combined N400/I-751 interview and got approved! Here’s some hope to all those waiting extra long amounts of time for your case to advance...it does come to an end eventually!

Oh, I see it alright..lol.  I requested an info pass appointment as well this past week.  Our extension letter expires end of this month.  I also sent a letter to the state senator as well.  Maybe it will help or maybe it won't, but I figured it wouldn't hurt.🙂

May 20, 2019 summitted our I-751 petition, received/assigned an MSC case#. May 20, 2020 filed online for N-400 Naturalization. Yesterday Atlanta USCIS FSO combination interview received USCIS Form N-652 "Application has been recommended for approval." We'll now await full Citizenship approval notification and scheduling date for the Oath ceremony.  We're now very close to crossing the USCIS DOS immigration journey finish line. I received text from USCIS this morning to check my online status. On March 3, they now have an N400 interview scheduled for me, so I am waiting for the notice of when it will be. It will probably be a combo interview, so I will still bring my husband with me. I will keep you posted. 🥰🙏🏼

Alright guys, another little update for you all.  We got approved today!!!!  J/K,  I wish!  Didn't want to put a damper on the approval party going on in the above comments, but I have to get serious now.  So, ended up calling USCIS on 9/5 to inquire about biometrics for my husband.   Long story short, was told by a tier 2 officer that they would put in another request and that we should get something in two weeks.  If after 30 days nothing, then to call back or put in another request.  Sounds a lot like what others who have inquired about their biometrics are getting for responses as well.  Lots of generic answers.  You know the drill.  Anyways, still nothing in the mail nor on the website has anything changed.  Not too terribly concerned at the moment and taking it one day.....or month at a time.  Lol.  Glad to read that a few people are seeing movement and every little bit helps someone else somewhere on their journey.  Will keep everyone updated if any new news come through.  Staying positive!

I am not going to stress about this. I followed the instructions and gave them all they asked for. My file was "lost" for way over the time specified before I finally got my interview. I had to call our State rep. And then the interviewer was nuts. You can read all that in my updates. Anyway, if they want more information, they will likely ask. I have nothing to hide. I over loaded my stuff the first time. They let folks in from that 90 day fiancee show who leave their spouses months after they get married and there is filmed proof that they were using their marriage to get a green card. I also know someone else personally who came in on a K1 VISA and his wife decided the marriage was over 6 months after they wed. That was 2011. He is still here. LEGALLY.

@JBMG, Just got back into town.  Have been in Russia the past two weeks and attended the interview.  Will update my profile a little later, but a quick heads up on our status.  We are currently in AP due to my husbands medical exam.  Further TB testing was needed (pneumonia when he was young and little scar on lung).  He went for medical end of July and the TB testing takes 6 weeks.  YES!  6 WEEKS!    My husbands visa status has been in AP since even before the interview, while my stepdaughters said READY.  Only after the interview was hers changed from READY to AP.  Passports were kept after interview and no papers or slips of any kind were issued.  We just wait for the results of medical exam which these will be ready and sent to embassy in two weeks.  Only after this will the status change.  I will keep everyone updated! 
 
BTW, in Russia the whole TB testing seems to be a common occurence.  Was doing quite a bit of research on it because when we were told the testing would take 6 weeks, it was like hitting a brick wall.  Nothing bad of course, but a delay in the issuing of the visa.  Obviously the medical exam is a big part of the process.  It was however reassuring to read a few other country members who had or went through the same experience.

The visas do work.  My wife joined me in New York last night.  POE was easy.  They asked her a couple of questions.  Where is your husband?  She said outside waiting for me.   She said he was joking but he did ask her if she had another husband in Vietnam.  
So all, please be prepared for a couple of questions from the immigration people.   Otherwise, entry was no problem.  

I have just got off the phone with NVC. Interview date has been scheduled for August 17 in the a.m. Oh what joyous happenings!!!!! I am glad I called. 

Interview date confirmed August 8th 6:30am. 

Thanks. Yes my anxiety now has gotten worse. Told my husband he got scheduled and now really has to do the pretend interviews with me LOL

I hear you on that.  I think I waited about that long this time too.  Almost hung up, glad I didn't though.  Surprisingly I have been getting decent people to speak with the last two times I have called, but I know it is unbearable when you get those rude operators. 

I really deslike calling to the NVC. I don't know if it's just me, but everytime I call them, I wait at least 40 min and once I get to talk to a rep, most of the times I feel like they don't even care about anything, and them they hang up in less than a minute. I can't wait to have my interview scheduled and not have to call them anymore.
