Jeanne Adil got a reaction from kylie_and_hamid in sharing your experiences about interview in casablanca morocco
we can tell you that the Moroccan needs to be well prepared with private life of the spouse in the US
needs to know every little and big thing (former education, family, close friends, weather, job favorite color, etc) they can ask anthing
be confident
answer quickly with short answers
do not elaborate
take it very seriously as Casa does
have a plan for your future life in the US with spouse (work or study)
and have approval of the Moroccan family for the marriage (very important that the mother approves)
if there is a big age difference, know how you will answer
same with religion and having children together
allah yessir

Jeanne Adil got a reaction from Lovelysierra87 in How long for marriage in Morocco?
you need to apply and pay fee at Casa embassy for affiidvat of elibility to marry (was $60 in 2010)
take this to Rabat for document
you will have physical exam in morocco (about 100 dh which is now $10)
then to his home town to have interviews with police and judge and wait for decisions
needed:
1. birth certificate
2. passport
3. copies of any previous marriage / divorce/ death certificate
4. income evidence / i used tax return but notice from employer is good
5. birth certificates of any children still at home
6. criminal investigation report ( mine was at county court $15)
all these have to be translated into Arabic (6 copies)
ours took 3 1/2 weeks of legwork to marry
I do have the 2 page instructions if you need them in case i forgot anything
send me an email and i will send to you

Jeanne Adil got a reaction from BasmaHicham in please Urgent help
everyone in Morocco has a cell and internet
obviously this guy does as he posts here and his wife was able to download the forms from internet
most in Morocco have several different cells
not sure what those who don't have it do but anyone without internet would not be on VJ
-
Jeanne Adil got a reaction from Lisa_ in Marriage Visa and Taxes
you can apply as married filing jointly to claim spouse by filing out the W7 form to get the ITIN
need to follow the instructions on IRS site
https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/nonresident-alien-spouse
this is extremely helpful for anyone dealing with a high fraud country
It is important to let the VJ community know the country and helpful to us (for best answers ) to see a timeline on your profile

Jeanne Adil got a reaction from two_black_cats in I864 income---AGI vs income
According to the attorney i had for 1st CR1 they look at line 37 Adjusted gross income
i had untaxable income they did not want to consider / this i had to overcome
you can submit pay stubs or letter of income from employer / they will consider this also

Jeanne Adil got a reaction from Kidayi in Meeting girl from morocco but small issue:) parents think she is in it just for visa... [merged threads]
not to bust your bubble but many in Morocco are muslims as they were born into the religion and more than many are not real religious
they do not pray daily and a lot have not read or understand the Koran
they do keep Ramadan and fast and kill the sheep in EID but as far as everyday keeping the faith ---not really
i expect a lot of feedback here but i have traveled from Tetaoun to Side Ifni and heard call to prayer and watched the young people not leave the coffee cafes or internet cafes to go pray

Jeanne Adil got a reaction from Alix64 in NVC Social Media
Specifically looking at emails, dating sites, and all social media to see if the immigrant is looking for "green card only" or talking to other men/women for specifically "getting out of their country"
also looking at youtube and other sites to see if immigrant is following any terriorists sites
this is to prevent marriage fraud and to protect the USA

Jeanne Adil got a reaction from Teacake in Coping with homesickness
truthfully i would be homesick moving from a big city to small town Mississippi
all i can say is talk daily on whatsapp or facebook face to face with family and freinds
once you move away it is hard to go back / things change at home even in a few months
if you do decide to return, your friends will marry , have a family and make their own moves / things change all the time
as soon as you are able , go home for a visit
you will find out that missing your husband is also a strain
-
Jeanne Adil got a reaction from Sea Leslie in NVC to Create Case number..?
going to depend on many factors
1. how fast they assign case number
2. how fast you pay the 2 fees when they are requested
3. how fast you and immigrant fill out the I 864 and DS 260
4. how fast you get IRS transcripts and other supporting documents and scan them to NVC
5. the number of application packets at NVC
6. the avalibility of a visa number
7. the avalibilty of an interview date at your embassy
-
Jeanne Adil got a reaction from HKS in Pay Extra!
I think with the added added number of applications, seems like they could afford to hire more with our fees
example 2013 990,553
and now over 6,000,000
https://www.us-immigration.com/how-many-immigration-applications-filed-each-year/
lets round to 6,000,000 and say the difference is 5,009,447
and all applications were the minimum tourist visa amount of $160
that is an additional $801,511,520
and we all know K1 , CR1 AOS and citizenship costs a lot more which makes the amount so much higher
so, where is the money going?
not for workers

Jeanne Adil got a reaction from Mezyan in US Citizen Living in Foreign Country with Spouse
sorry, but this is Morocco embassy
like i said , ok for other countries but not Casa embassy
others have been denied there for this very reason
everyone here says morocco is hard / this is what we mean
-
Jeanne Adil got a reaction from Mezyan in US Citizen Living in Foreign Country with Spouse
Because Morocco is already hard , you really need to return to the US and get work
Just having a cosponsor for that country is not enough
you need to prove you can provide not only the residency here in the US but income enough to pay for medical insurance
Morocco often wants to see 3 years of IRS transcripts (more than often when they want to deny and use this as a tool)
and of course, you put the US as your home address

Jeanne Adil got a reaction from GoodJack in Income test under Trump proposal places tougher hurdles for families to get green cards
he has many plans
some are so far fetched u gotta wonder where his head is
but you also can't believe all news articles
one announcement a few months ago scared everyone but it was a rule passed in 2009 and was nothing new
Trump has said in the past he wanted higher quality educated immigrants but he himself staffs his hotels and other businesses by getting work visas for immigrants and paying them low wages
-
Jeanne Adil got a reaction from cute_pretzel in AOS Pending...wanting Divorce.
Best for her?
Looks like you need to think of yourself
if you own the home, she needs to leave
you are not responsible for the fact she can not work
i would not file and support the AOS as then you really are responsibile
-
Jeanne Adil got a reaction from Kanwal Haqqi in Did they keep the passport after giving you 221(g)?
They can do either
return the passport as they either need more security checks or documents or expect to deny the petition
if they ask for more documents, they may say to return the passport with documents
OR
they can may keep the passport
and how long? till they are finished with their job (one has been kept a year but that was in Morocco)
-
Jeanne Adil got a reaction from Shawntina Sekyi A in REAFFIRMED CASE (merged)
no income whats so ever no tax return required not even medicare or ss payments needed
but even you are reaffirmed without an income of your own, you can be denied again saying looks like the beneficiary could become a public charge
establishing residency is more than being a USC
need to prove where you will live
having a US bank account helps
owning property or having a rental agreement sometimes is asked for

Jeanne Adil got a reaction from fip & jim in Happy Fourth of July!
I love them and we watched both Boston Pops and the DC
but my poor dog went crazy with the ones right here
but they sure were beautiful

Will you have any income for 2019 and 2020 as appliction now will give you close to a 2021 interview date?
most countries are ok but for Morocco you really need to be here with an income
joint sponsor helps but still Casa embassy expects to see the USC with a job
since you are willing to live there now (and none of us want to be separated) the embassy will say , you don't need a visa , you can live in Morocco
it has happened to others
not trying to be hard but i worked 6 years for a visa for my Adil and i know what can happen
and don't use the moroccan address
