We were over a thousand miles away from home working in Montana, I dont think an Uber driver is going to go that far LOL 

My wife got her interview and was approved on September this year. She travels with me while I am working mainly because she has not learned how to drive or have a DL yet.  USCIS scheduled an appointment for the 15th of October. We had already left for work on a 2 month project. My wife wrote them a letter requesting it be reschedule for January 2022.  6-8 days went by and we got a case update stating Oath ceremony will be scheduled.  So we thought all was good.  November 20th they sent another update, this time they scheduled the ceremony for December 15th. We already know we can not make that appointment. So again we wrote them a letter, again letting them know we are away from home on a 2 month work project. We politely requested that they reschedule for January 2022 we would be home for almost the entire month. We sent the second letter out on wed. the 24th of November, with the holiday and mail running slow, I am not even sure they got our second letter before they canceled. On December 2nd we got another update stating the ceremony had been canceled.  the letter they sent states the following
 
"This is to advise you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to cancel the previously scheduled Oath Ceremony on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 11:00AM for the above applicant. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. We will advise you of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview appointment information, under separate notice."
 
Anyone have any idea what this means?  Thanks for any help

USCIS updated today, We have a new time Jan. 12th, 2022 11am   no problem making that date

I understand it might be difficult due to your travel arrangements and you definitely lucked out with them canceling this date. I’ve heard of people getting direct calls from their offices for mistakes the offices have made. Hopefully they will reschedule in January for you. It is difficult to know if they have your letters or taken that into account. I guess the last thing you want is for your case to be thrown to the back of the pile so whatever date is given next just got to make it work. Fingers crossed it is in Jan! 

It means you got what you wanted without any intervention on your part.  Rescheduling is not uncommon.   Watch your USCIS account and deal with the next date when the oath gets rescheduled.

I wonder if I could pack up all my wife's aunts, uncles, and cousins and send them to Mexico would immigration be faster. Serious joking though. 


It is hypocritical to mandate something with an asterisk. I am also confused at the fact that people want to save lives, but getting the vaccine doesn't actually guarantee it. Vaccinated folks have died after infection. When there's a form of treatment off label we got the media trying to shut it down. I am just wondering what is the goal? To jab everyone, or to save lives? All options should be on the table if it's about saving lives. 

Science isn't based on consensus. Centuries ago the scientific consensus was that the earth was flat and was the center of the universe. That doesn't make it so. Back then just like today scientists who are correct but don't share the mainline view on a given subject are ridiculed or worse.

Thankfully I quit watching anything news related since the first of the year,  I just kinda live in my own world it sure makes life stress free for me

We submitted and have the confirmation number. As to paying the visa fee, the embassy had stated its going to be paid over there in person before my fiancé’s interview 

Finally got my case number today!!

Just called the NVC again for the second times. Was on hold for about 45 minutes.
