You should be getting the email tomorrow or Wednesday.  I got the email in 2 days.  Congrats on your visa being issued!!!!!

So I woke up this morning to read that Trump plans to sign several executive orders today concerning immigration issues. So I'm curious...other than the proposed wall, does anyone have any insight into what he's planning?  Will his orders impact AOS applications currently in progress? Thanks for any info. I'm trying not to worry but can't help but feel a bit vulnerable.

Trust God! I pray all will be well for you to get through.

You can go to the DHL tracking site to see if it is ready for pick up.

Yes, it should be ready for pick up within a couple days of the friday pick up from the embassy.  I'll see if I can find that tracking website for you.

Your the best! Thank you so so much!!! I was told that I would get an email from DHL or from the embassy that it's ready for pick up.  Is this correct?  I already registered my husband on the DHL website.  It still shows that he's scheduled for his interview.

I'm getting married to a foreign husband. He's been to the US twice already. His coming in April will be when we plan to marry. Would it be ok if we married in May?  What all do we need to do in order to prove it's a bonafide marriage? He will be entering on his tourist visa but given that he's been to America before it shouldn't be visa fraud. What steps do we need to take after marriage? And do we NEED to have an attorney?

It is visa fraud if you get married while he's on a tourist visa!

I thought i would share my journey and what it means to me personally.

I am from the UK, my work took me around the world for long periods of time and at many points i was in the US working on projects. I fell in love with Boston, Chicago and New York but my passionate love is New Orleans. Being from Oxford everything there is old and steeped in history, I am proudly English and always will be but the passion the states has for flag and country is amazing. I met my now wife in Tulsa Oklahoma while i was there on work, it was a Disney movie of love at first sight. We lived together in the UK and then Abu Dhabi UAE before deciding after i got laid off from Oil and gas to move her home. I was going to return to the UK see out my final 4 months in the UK office while doing my CR-1 visa. I came here on a holiday before returning to the UK and my company told me i was not required to return... that was a change in the plan and once we found out about the change of status we started the ball rolling. While the paper work and processing was going on I explored New Orleans.

Now i had never been here before, the first time was to visit my wife's family in 2015 and i fell in love with the city, people, food and culture here. I have spent time walking around the french quarter, the CBD and residential suburbs each step making me smile about my new home.

Sure things are different here, i cant find a egg and bacon bap with a cup of tea. Bacon is different from home, marmite is impossible to find and try explain what blood pudding is to people who have no clue. Although for each one of those things i miss, i find something new to try, expand my tastes and horizons. I never had a shrimp Po Boy, ate craw fish or mud bugs as they are known here but the main thing for me and my own is .... New Orleans feels like home. I sound different than everyone else, sometimes the English language gets strange here and the English sense of humor lost in translation but New Orleans is my Home.

Would i wait as long as i did to get my green card again, you bet i would because at this point looking across at my wife in our home city makes all the stress, money and time spent all worth it....

Glad to hear your story! All the best to you and your wife.

Hi, I had my interview on December 5th 2016 in Islamabad, the consular did not ask many questions. She didn't even ask for any affidavit of support or any other documents beside the original marriage certificate and birth certificate. I also lived in UK for 6 years I provided them with the original police certificate. My spouse (petitioner) accompanied me to the interview. The consular told us everything looked good and there's nothing to worry about but she gave me a white sheet of paper with 221 (g) with no further documents needed. Now my case shows under administrative processing. Since then the "status update" has changed three times. The first time it changed on December 15th, second time on January 5th and now the third time on January 13th. If anyone has gone through this experience please share any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know how many times the "status update" date changes under administrative processing?

Your lucky that it even says "administrative processing".  My husband had his interview on January 5th and was approved and it still says "ready".  There is someone with an approved CR1 visa since November AND STILL WAITING!!!! We are all wondering what is going on with the Embassy's!

OMG I am getting stressed reading these posts.  I just don't get it.  Just don't understand the hold up.  Always told be patient, but the patience is wearing thin. We wait long enough to be with our husband and for it to drawn out even longer after the interview just for one item that they have total control over.  They need to go back to people being able to bring their medical in at the time of interview.  My husband is so down about this.  My daughter is upset cuz she wanted him here for her birthday next week, but can see it is not going to happen.  When I see one person get through I will see a little bit of hope:(

how long did it take for you to get yours??

sometimes for some random reason it takes a while, they are still doing checks for whatever reason. Ever so often there is a case here and there that takes much longer than normal and sometimes at a particular time everybody is waiting. I know this doesn't make it any easier just maybe knowing that if they said you were approved then you have nothing to worry about except to die of waiting lol. Hopefully you both get your visas soon!

How long did it take for yours to be approved??

Did my interview on November 21st medical was outstanding at the time so wasn't fully approved. Andrews confirmed that the medical was sent off on December 19th, been emailing the embassy since then. I got an email from them on December 30th saying the case is undergoing administrative processing even though the ceac website saying ready for interview. December was the last updated date and status still saying case is ready for interview, been emailing them and no reply.

I'm sure they are working on it but this really taking too long for both of us!! Once your medical is CLEAR and your visa is APPROVED.  They should do what they need to do quickly so people can get to be with their loved one.
