  1. I'm wondering when I apply for AOS, how does US immigration know what shots were given to my fiance and what are still required?

My fiance doesn't have any documents to support what shots were given to her at st lukes but I'm thinking maybe that is whats inside the brown envolope? She hasn't and won't open it but I'm curious how they can verify that if they themselves aren't the ones who open it?

  2. hey...

yes, the x ray she needs to bring with her actually with her not in her suitcase, yes, it seems stupid but... if she doesn't bring it with her, most likely they will ask for it.... again, just like many other things it's a just do it and son't question it... and the shots she got, those shoul dbe in the envelope she got from her doctor that did teh medical, teh sealed envelope she has to take to the interview... again, my really not so nice doctor at home didn't give me a copy of that medical and of corse I had to take it all again for my aos even though they say it is not necessary if you took it for a k-1... oh well... again, inexplicable... in any case, hope this helps...

A lot of people have told me she should have recieved a document containing a list of what shots she got a st lukes and what she needs when she gets here from st lukes but my girl doesn't have anything like that availalbe.

When she goes to the clinic to get her shots, how will they know what she needs if she has no documents?

From what you said it seems she should hav ethat info inside the brown envolope so I assume that info gets sent directly to homeland security so they have that info when she applies for AOS?

Please help clairfy how we can know what shots are needed for AOS. Thanks.

  3. They told her she needs to bring it to the states. Any idea what that is for? I never heard of any copy of chest xray being required when comming here.

Also my fiance said they didn't get her any records of what shots were given to her at st lukes. How will she know what shots are required once she gets here and how does immigration know what shots she took in manila at st lukes when applying for the green card? Thank you.

  4. Ok visa is on its way according to delbros. Wow only took a month geesh.

Unfortunately you fell into the middle of a lot of Philippine holidays. They do not work during the last week of Ramadan, then there is All Hallows week and All Saints Day. They also get the U.S. Holidays. I am applying for a job at the Embassy! Payato

Ramadan? Isn't that a muslim holiday? Why do they have to celebrate every religious holiday? I thought the only muslims in the philippines were terrorists?

  5. Ok visa is on its way according to delbros. Wow only took a month geesh.

Congratulations  When Claudeth got her text from DELBROS it took about 3 days to get the visa to Cagayan on Mindanao. Good luck!

Well my girl still hasn't gotten any text from delbros.. but I checked on the website and it shows that its out for delivery since nov 3rd.

Does delbros always text before they deliver?

  6. It sounds like you are in Administrative Processing and their is no time limit for them to complete your case. All you can do is sit back and allow them to finish their processing. You will not be told anything from the embassy until they are further ready to process the visa. Stay strong, stay positive and hopefully your AP will finish soon.

    Mary

No we're not under AR. What is administrative processing? We're approved thats what the consul told her. SHe's already paid for visa delivery since she is approved.

  7. opps. sorry she got her visa 3rd week of sept and flew oct 7. exactly 6 weeks. visa approval depends on the consul working on it.

Does anyone here know exactly what the consul "works on?" that takes this long? I thought the interview is the last thing? If you're approve they just print the visa no?

hi there bro..wow..it's almost a month already...have you been calling them?

oh i dont know what to do either...i'm also waiting for a miracle...

I have called.. they just say its processing. They don't tell me anything.

  8. hi sixstringjunkie.

yes, she is a k1 visa also. she's not an AR case. she got approved after interview. she had her interview same as mine on july 28. she got her visa oct 7. unfortunately, i am on AR right now. i was asked to submit my previous adjustment of status but don't have a copy so i just submitted a letter of explaination. i don't even know if i will get a visa or not.

    more patience...

Something doesn't add up here.. if you say she had her interview on july 28th and got her visa in oct 7 then that is more than 6 weeks. thats more like 8 weeks.. are you sure you got the numbers right?

Also did they ever tell her why it took so long to get her visa even if she's approved? Don't most everyone get it within two weeks if they are approved?

  9. I don't know if AR situation is same as ours. We were approved on oct 5th.. somehow the embassy hasn't even released the visa yet. I called the senators office and she gives me some bs excuse like I-130 applications are backed up without any explaination. Then I tell her mam there are people who passed the interview 2 weeks after us and they already have their K1 Visa. She can't even tell me when she'll reply me.. she just said wait 1 or more weeks.. wow.. just wow.

  10. It's almost like we're being treated like we're on AR? When in fact we were approved at the interview.

Email the embassy and ask for an update and mention that you are concerned since your SO was approved and should of received her visa by now? Hopefully, they will send you an email back and tell you the status.

There is no email address. Furthermore I've already called.. just keeps saying its still processing. Why the heck does it take so long?

  11. Ok I've done everything I can. Called my senator, wrote my senator, called the US embassy, called delbros.. NO ONE seems to know anything.

It has now been 25 days since my fiance has been approved and still nothing.

What are my next steps aside from going insane?

Sorry but I'm really losing my patience here. I know she'll be here eventually but I can't stand the fact that someone is dropping the ball here somewhere taking advantage of people like me. It's almost like we're being treated like we're on AR? When in fact we were approved at the interview.

Anyone know how long I should wait? Whats the longest anyone has waited that wasn't on AR? :help:

  12. It seems that everyone who lives in delbros is taking a long time. I would get right on the phone to the embassy and let them know the change in phone number.

She doesn't live in Delbros.. Delbros is the company that delivers the visa.

    LOL!!!!

lol.. yeah pretty funny huh? If I wasn't so pissed right now I'd probably laugh with u.

Anyway everyone I've already called them, texted them, emailed them.

When I call they say they don't have it

When my girl texts them, they don't reply

when I emailed them they don't reply.

I've called my senator.. faxed them a letter to request a inquiry to the US embassy.

I've pretty much done everything I can unless u guys have any other suggestions.

  13. Hello, my girl finished her interview over two weeks ago.

Now she still doesn't have her visa.

One reason might be because she had changed her phone number right after she arrived back home so delbros currently has her old number.

My question is.. will they still attempt to make the delivery to her even if she doesn't respond to the call or text or will they wait until she responds?

And also.. she lives in the province.. is it normal for it to take this long? Thank you.

Thanks for copying and pasting what's already on the CFO website. I was hoping someone here would be nice enough to confirm what I'm asking because that website is a bit confusing. First of all what is a Duly completed Emegrant registraton form? I never heard of that.Duly completed Guidance and Counseling form? What is that? Where do you get that do they fill it out there or before? Please someone help.

  15. She need to go to first in CFO located in Quezon City, then, she will go to Citigold (Manila) after the seminar to get the certification.

Can't she go to the one in PRISM building in manila and not quezon city?

And also can someone please tell me what she needs to take there for the seminar?

Just photocopy of her Birth Cert and NBI.

    Anything else?

On the site it says something like she needs an application form.

She won't have her passport because she will go after her medical so she will get her stamp later when she gets her visa.

Also what is the total cost?

    CFO seminar is 400p?

What about for the stamp? thank you and sorry for so many questions.

  16. She can try to get there as early as she can to avoid any circumstances like being full.

    Ok how early though?

Isn't there a session at 10-12 and one at 2-4pm?

How early does she need to be there for those sessions?

And lastly is there a jeepney that goes from ermita to cfo Prism?

Which one does she need to go for the seminar? The CitiGold Or Prism?

Please help, my girl is going to manila tonight.

She can go as early as 6:00 am.

The session starts at 10-12 and 2-4 but since there are numbers petition going to Philippines, we can expect the amount of people lining up outside before that specific time for counselling.

My fiancee said that there is no jeepney direct to CFO since the road is only for BUS and private vehicles. She can take a jeepney from Ermita to Quiapo and then Quiapo to Pedro Gil. In that case she is going to walk a little farther from the corner to the other corner of the building. Taxi is going to be convenient and quite safer. Zane said that taxi from Ermita to CFO wont cost more than 4$ specially during 6 am. Traffic is not heavy during that time according to her. (By the way she's been already there to get her passport and she is living near Ermita).

She will need to go to CFO Citigold first and she will be given an instruction after she's done paying the registration fee. (Please note: The are fixers outside the CFO building before you enter the gate. Tell your fiancee to ask the guard of the building and not the people around chasing her for different service.)

And lastly my fiancee asked is where is your girl from lol and to please tell you to tell her to be cautious, Manila has a lot difference than in province. To just be watchful.)

    PLEASE CHECK THE FLOWCHART

    http://www.cfo.gov.ph/fs_manila.htm

She will need to attend the guidance and counselling session

It can be done at either location according to the website.

That CFO website is a bit confusing but thank you for your help its much clearer now. So if I'm understanding right, she can go to either CITIGOLD or PRISM to get her seminar? Can she get her stamp at both places too?

I'll have her take a taxi that's fine, I wasn't sure if it was very crowded there which is why I'd prefer her to take the LRT.

Yes she can get the stamp in the same building.

LRT is not operating until 7 am according to Zane and the station is still farther from the CFO building and she still need to walk 2 corners before she's going to get there.

She's from Murcia.. province near bacolod city negros occidental.

So she needs to go to CITIGOLD first?

But I thought the seminar is in PRISM not CITIGOLD?
