After 3 Service Requests and 3 phone calls with tier 2 officers. I called today and they just approved my EAD and AP today and told me over the phone. Card has been sent to the printer.

Finally after 124 days!!  Online status still says case received.

How do you speak to a Tier 2 offer, my SR has been assigned to an officer and completed but still no change

Completely understand what you are felling and thinking.....this is exactly why I do not call them, everytime you call a different agent pick up the call and provide a different answer.....frustrating. Hanging there your time will come.

Pointless calling them, even if you get an RFE and ask them what part to submit they give you story about how they can’t help and then read from a script

Hi I am also a Baltimore filer around the same time as you. We luckily got our EAD last week but I did two things, don't know if they helped. We contacted our local representative in Baltimore to make an inquiry on our behalf  and I submitted on online request and in the comments I stated my husband had a job offer he would like to be able to accept (which is luckily true).

I actually raised three service requests online. I did it as often as it would allow me to do it.

I live in Baltimore , which congressman did you contact,

I can understand the concerns :( i am a Aug 2 filer and got mine on 92nd day. So hang in there, yours is around the corner :)

Also have you raised an SR already? if so, and it has been mroe than 7 days, you can call uscis again and ask them to raise another if the previous one is not assigned yet.

Also get in touch with your congressman and ask them to send in a congressional enquiry for your case. It helps :)

This is my second SR hat I have sent, I sent one myself now and then the lawyer we got sent another one last Monday (10days ago) still nothing and not assigned

This person that you talked to read the processing times that we all have access to. But they didn't read it correctly because it says "May 10 - as of Aug 31st", so now it should at least be July cases. It is frustrating when we can do a better job than them, when it's their job. I would suggest you call back and talk to a different person to raise an SR. When I called I had a very nice lady who was very understanding of my concerns, and I also called a few months ago and talked to a very nice guy, so for me it's been good but when I see that some of them are saying they're still on May cases it really annoys me because this is their job.

Due to me raising a SR online there is nothing they can do, i rang this morning and until my SR is either dealt with or expires they can’t do nothing more for me, basically another 30 days of waiting

So I just called USCIS to follow up on my i765. I am on Day 94 with NOA date of July 31 and I noticed that a few August filers have been approved already. A Tier 2 Officer called me back and explained that the 90day processing time is no longer followed. He said that processing time depends on the backlog your service center is trying to clear. I thought i765s are processed only in Missouri but I didn't dare ask. He also mentioned that they are only doing i765s as of May 10, 2017. I asked him why there are July and August filers that have been approved. He said it is because of the background check they do and how tedious it is for each case. I begged for him to make a followup request for my application but he told me, he can't even enter an expedite request because my case was still under "normal processing time." This sounds contradicting to me because he said earlier that it depends on the backlog so there shouldn't be anymore "normal processing time", right?

I don't know which is more frustrating - having to wait for so long with no certainty or having to talk to someone supposedly with authority but with futility. 😔

I actually give up calling USCIS, every time I call you get a different response and they just read from a script, for my EAD I am on day 108, I have filed 1 SRwhich went unanswered,

At day 97 my wife and I got a lawyer involved and all she did was file a second SR which we are now waiting on.

it is frustrating seeing August filers getting there EAD, again I thought it was all filed in Missouri

Also she says in her judgment that don’t use VJ cos it’s fake and people are paid to write reviews which I call bull ####### on.

Damn it - what is taking Baltimore that long?! What actually bothers me is that they now have to interview EB AOS applications now too - watch, it will be a mess! Hopefully I will hear something good soon

All I heard from my lawyer is the amount of cases they have in Baltimore an there is  shortage in staff.

Other than the EAD there isn’t really a timeline when you have to be interviewed for GC.

It it is just a money maker, I know people who have had to renew EADs cos they haven’t had interviews yet or redo musicals cos they expire

  9. My friend is in a similar situation, was doing AOS from a work visa to GC through marriage, they applied November 2016, only recently received an interview date, for the start of this November.

The lawyer he used said how backed up Baltimore is, it’s a mess.

Another Friend in Baltimore has three interview 5 weeks ago, and they still haven’t had a decision either

That's what I am afraid of, I know I shouldn't be hearing anything about the I-130. I don't know what we could have missed.

Ugh We will be really frustrated if that is the case because my husband is hoping to expedite his EAD this week with a job offer, I don't know what will happen if we get a request for more evidence. I can't think of anything we missed and I make well over the requirement (sent in all the same paperwork for our K1 to prove it). Ahh my mind is going crazy :(

If it’s an RFE for i130 would that even effect your EAD

You can never tell. Just wait till you receive and open the letter. Don't presume anything , it might not even be about EAD approval or anything. Since you are the petitioner, it might be about your I-130. It could be anything. But I pray it is not one of those not too good news. Have faith!

Good luck, my wife is the petitioner and the only correspondence addressed to her is the I-130, but keep everything crossed

Received EAD/AP card in the mail today. We aren't really sure exactly when the card was put in our mailbox since I didn't get a notification via USPS informed delivery that we had mail. I guess USPS informed delivery doesn't work for priority mail? I don't know.....but we did get the notification for the approval letter.

    Congrats,

How long has it been, what was your file date

I have found the people I have dealt with to be dedicated to their jobs and genuinely interested in helping us to reach our goals, I am sure that some are les than enthusiastic about their jobs but the majority are dedicated and hard working

Same, i have called 3 times, twice it was helpful, the last time I ended up putting the phone down due to the woman on the other end

You know what I wonder sometimes.....So many offices out there, how come can "they" take so long to process these requests? Even considering the detailed verification still a horrible processing times.

From what I heard from a lawyer, people working in these officers have certain targets to meet, there understaffed and overworked.

Why would they care about people’s requests, at the end of the day, they still get paid no matter what
