My AOS Marriage based interview is the start of next month in Baltimore

My PD is July 3rd

Biometrics 22nd August

Interview February 1st

How did people organize actual photos they took, i don't want to take loads in a random order, the way i was thinking is this 

Wedding Pictures

Engagement Pictures

Photos with family

Photos with friends 

Photos of me and my spouse

In 5 zip lock bags with the date and year wrote on the back of them

Or does anyone have a better suggestion

Was wondering how strict they are when one isn't available, we are trying to get another one sent from her native country and hoping  gets here on time for our end of month interview. We are really hoping this does not create an issue and additional delay. 

In terms of interview, how rare is it to be approved on the day, I am seeing s lot of people who have been given the 120 days decision, and then getting approved 3/4/5 days later

There's good news coming your way. Just hold on tight.

I never believe what they show online as the dates.

I think they keep it so it looks so backed up to stop people ringing up and worrying about not getting interviews yet.

My Interview date is Jan 31st

My file date is July 3rd, i got an RFE August 14th, that was submitted August 16th, received August 21st when they started working on my case again.

Biometerics were August 21st, I had to change it twice due to travelling for work.

I dont know if my backgrounds check come back quicker cos I have had work visas for the last 7 years in America, and would of gone through the same checks before.

It was a shock to receive the interview notice so soon

I received the interview letter today, no case status update online.

my question is, now that I have an interview date, does that mean my Background checks have been completed.

I have seen stories where people have had the interview but not approved  cos the background check isn’t back.

Today 

I received my interview letter for January 30th in Baltimore, my file date in July 3rd.

My online status did not update.

The good thing with the interview letter is that it tells you what to bring.

Any advice on how to prepare for the interview with be greatly appreciated.

Hey Guys

So an UPDATE from a friend who is still going through this journey, but it might help especially in terms of timelines.

They filed April of 2017 - doing AOS from a work visa to GC through marriage.

They done Biometerics end of April (3/4 weeks later)

An RFE middle of May on the i485 (6 weeks after submission) 

According to there Attorney, they have been told to expect either an interview or a waiver decision by February, 10 or so months after they filed.

I received this information after a phone call with MY ATTORNEY, when i asked her about the next steps after my EAD

Also, for people who are stressing out, USCIS can tell in 2/3 months if your case isnt strong enough, once your EAD comes you almost guaranteed that your AOS is going to be accepted. She said its rare now that you get to interview and rejected, they may ask for more info at the interview or say they want to check something but don take it as a bad sign.

I hope this kindof helps,

How far behind is the Baltimore office, I filed for AOS in June 2017, got an RFE at the end of August pushing my case back.

So I am basically 3 and half months in, any timeline on when to expect an interview, already have my EAD approved in November.

Hummm remember that she may have done nothing....yes it’s good to contact them but your case being with USCIS For so long maybe it just got approved due the time.....we never know and that is the main struggle with USCIS we never know what is going on.

 

i guess my message is, don’t put all your hope in your congressman cause it may not change anything at all. 

That is true, on that Monday, 

I spoke to Tier 1 and Tier 2 officers about my case and had congresswoman submit for me

The most frustrating part is when you ask what’s delaying it, the answer is “I don’t know could be anything”

Call them, there good at responding to you, when I used my local congresswoman, she submitted an inquiry and 2 days later it was approved, 6 days later my card and approval notice come

In August i got an RFE, any updates on when to be expecting a letter regarding interview

Hey guys, quick update, 

approved last Wednesday for EAD, my approval notice come today and got the email saying my card has been mailed to me 

hopefully I’ll get that 4/5 days

My attorney got the email saying it had been completed. Then 5 days later I rang to see what it meant and the Tier 1 officer filed a new one for me Monday, plus my local congresswoman mad early an enquiry for me cos my work visa was expiry and I could keep my job with employment approval, wednesday I got the text saying new card being produced

hows everyones EAD applications going, this is my current status, very frustrating till yesterday, i found the SRs to be useless untill my congress raised it for me 

My file date was July 26th for EAD.

I raised an SR on day 75, got ignored

My attorney raised a 2nd SR for me which was completed in 6 days, still didnt change my status.

On Monday Tier 1 officer raised a 3rd SR for me and my Local Congresswoman enquired for me, yesterday my status changed to New Card is Being Produced
