SophieParker1130 got a reaction from Penguin_ie in Cr1 didn't get my green card
I agree with everyone and else. There is no such thing as the SSN or green card arriving in a week. Especially this time of year when the mail is super slow.
I got my SSN about 2 weeks after POE and my GC 45 days after POE. Some people wait between 2 to 6 months. Every case is different.
Your welcome notice that came with your visa packet recommends you only call USCIS if you don't get anything in 45 days.
    Good luck!

SophieParker1130 got a reaction from BackWhereIBelong in A bit tricky marriage Certificate vs. Marriage License situation
    hI
    1) The US recognizes legal marriages performed abroad. So there's no need for the church license. As long as it's legal, you're good to go. That's what my husband and I researched when we registered our marriage in Kuala Lumpur. VJ'ers please correct me if I'm wrong
** We DID get the license certified at the Ministry of Foreign affairs just to be safe though
    Good luck!
