Sagot got a reaction from Jasmine1969 in Divorced under shariah law
Being you were married under shariah law USEM, and the Philippines, will accept the muslim divorce without ISSUE.
The denials were for those NOT married as muslim and trying to side-step the annulment process using the muslim divorce.
Being married in a civil or church wedding would cause many issues... be glad you didn't.

Sagot got a reaction from Carpe Vinum in My middle name in the visa has been cut off
Nope. Limited character spacing for the name. Name is correct at the bottom.. all is good!
Go get your CFO sticker and it will be traveling time!

Sagot got a reaction from Carpe Vinum in Divorce in Hongkong
You would have to check with Hong Kong for their requirements for filing the divorce. As you know the divorce would not be accepted within the Philippines but it would be accepted for the rest of the world, and for a U.S. visa process
That is not an option.. Philippines has come down hard and heavy on those trying to do that. If not married as a muslim you can not get divorced as a muslim.

Sagot got a reaction from BuckMaster in Hong Kong Divorce for Filipino
The Hong Kong divorce WILL be accepted by the U.S. embassy for obtaining the K-1 visa... NO ISSUE. Only place on the planet your fiancee will still be married is in the Philippines, but that has NO effect on obtaining the K-1 visa.
Once the divorce is finalize you can file the I-129F petition with USCIS, she can process there in HK or back in the Philippines, your choice.

Your wife already complete CFO years ago being you two were married in the Philippines and she had her passport updated to married name.

Sagot got a reaction from RO_AH in DFA will not issue daughters passport
Did you complete recognition as a Filipino Citizen for your daughter so your daughter is a dual citizen? I would think that name would be a legal name also. Doubt the personnel at DFA will care just the same.
Exit using the U.S. passport, see if the recognition exempts or avoids any fees. Then if having a Philippine passport is important check into getting the passport through the Philippine embassy in the States, I would bet there are passports issued using names with conventional U.S. name format. ~ just a thought.

Sagot got a reaction from JOE ERIC SOLIMAN in Time Between Visa Issuance and Visa Delivery 2GO
7-10 days after ISSUED the visa is usually available at 2GO, and issued is not the interview. Watch the CEAC website for tracking.
There is no actual answer for this as each application is different.

Sagot got a reaction from John & Rose in K2 visa illegitimate Child fathers consent needed by US Consulate?
In the Philippines the mother has sole custody if the children, nothing is needed from the father.
As long as you listed the children on the I-129F you will have not issues with visa process at USEM or traveling to the USA.

Sagot got a reaction from Hank_ in Petition for recognition of divorce decree
Yes.. you can relax some.
-
Sagot got a reaction from Hank_ in Petition for recognition of divorce decree
There is also a very recent topic with this same question. Of course the answer is the same - No you do not need the Recognition of Divorce for the visa process. CFO won't even give you issues, they will just want a copy of the divorce decree.

Sagot got a reaction from Hank_ in How long out are US embassy Manila interviews
Yes... I agree with that totally.

Sagot got a reaction from Sunnybanana1913 in is my wifes Visa pretty much approved?
Yes. Like said, a late document can add a week or so but I would not stress over this at all! It is almost happy dance time!!
Today is a good day to sit back and enjoy the rain.. except it didn't rain very long here today.. still it was nice.
-
Sagot got a reaction from Sunnybanana1913 in is my wifes Visa pretty much approved?
99% of the time when there is a missing document, the embassy is happy once they have it. It may take a week or so for them to get the document and your file reviewed... but I would say.. relax ... chill a few cold ones.. the party is coming.

Sagot got a reaction from Joana/Daniel in Should I base in CEAC status before I proceed paying Visa and schedule Interview
Here is a link to the process. http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/index.php/2-visa-process/3-usem-k-1-visa
Until you have your MNL# nothing will be happening.
As for appointment openings, they vary day to day, just because an early date isn't showing today doesn't mean they are all gone.

Sagot got a reaction from Hank_ in CENOMAR Question
ditto on that, but something they are the only choice... sucks that they suck.
-
Sagot got a reaction from Hank_ in k2 parent consent
USEM requires NOTHING... no letter of consent is needed from the father. You may have a letter but USEM won't care about it.
Info on the process in Manila: http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/index.php

Sagot got a reaction from Hank_ in k2 parent consent
NO! ..... single MOTHERS have sole custody of the children. You need NOTHING from the "father".
Do be aware that you need to complete the visa process before the one year anniversary of your visa being ISSUED. This means your daughter's visa MUST BE ISSUED BEFORE THAT DATE. You have a few months, still but do be aware.
-
Sagot got a reaction from Hank_ in CENOMAR
CENOMAR is required by the embassy for ALL immigrant visas (or as in the case of the K-1 immigrant intent).
The process at PSA is to apply for a CENOMAR ... there is only one form for all occasions If you were NEVER married you will receive a CENOMAR, if you are married or were ever married you will receive an Advisory of Marriage - CEMAR. It is that simple.

Sagot got a reaction from Hank_ in DS-160 Questions

You can answer your own question by logging onto your dashboard/profile. Getting an early date has not been an issue. BTW... appointment openings vary from day to day.

Sagot got a reaction from Hank_ in Succesful Medical 2017
My wife completed her medical in one day, and did not arrive all that early. Filipinas before and after her didn't complete in one day.
-
Sagot got a reaction from Hank_ in Succesful Medical 2017
Some do get lucky with completing the medical in one day, don't have a clue how that works with some and not others... early arrival isn't the key.
