Good morning all. Woke up this morning to a nice snowy dust all over the ground. My bus was 20 min late, and I ended up being 10 min late to work. It's still freezing here! I guess it hasn't been over 20 in the past 4 days now. I'm tired of the cold! Bring on Spring!

We're leaving for Morocco in 9 days! I am getting nervous! But I am excited! I still don't know what I should pack. I don't know what i should leave in my house and what I should take to my dad's. I don't know what things to pack, how many paris of pants? How many shirts? Which shoes? Which coat and jacket? Should I pack an extra blanket just in case? Oh I have no idea what to expect! I'm afraid to take any of my electronics because I don't want them to get stolen or "confiscated". Anyway, I am sure I am freaking out for nothing and that by the end of the week I will have worried for nothing.

Ok, so the hubby and I were going over a few job applications last week. We ran into a small problem. On one of the sheets it asks for your race/ethnicity(sp?) for some kind of purpose. Well We had a problem figuring out what the heck he is suspossed to be considered.

What does your ME/NA SO consider him/herself? He ended up putting white/caucasion because even though he is from Africa, he's not considered a black/ african American.

My husband says he's not an Arab, he's an African. I don't know if he's saying that jokingly or not, but I just consider him plain Moroccan with european heritage.

To be honest, when I reverted changing my first name never crossed my mind. It took me a good 20 years to finally come to my senses and actually like my birth name. But in the twenty years, I never wanted to be called Janine. Now I like it, and I am going to stick with it. Especially because I love the way my in-laws pronounce it. GeeNeen!

THen there is also the fact that when it was brought to my attention that I should look into it, I didn't see a name that really stood out to me. And the one name I do like, we are planning to name our first girl.

morning! today is one of my coworkers birthday's so we get cake for breakfast! I know I shouldn't have any, but I will have a small slice since it's strawberry shortcake. Taking my cat to the vet tonight. Should be fun since I have no idea how he's going to act in his carrier or in the car.

I just wanna say that I always hated American Govn't when I was in High school, and I don't really follow politics. I know it's bad, but I also know that I can't complain because I didn't voice my opinion is the past few elections. But since America has a way of sticking it's nose in other countries business, if someone were to say that they would pull out of other countries and let them take care of themselves so we can take care of ourselves, I would be voting for that person 100%! I hope that makes sense.

I went to the doc on Monday night. He told me that I aopparently had the flu only for saturday night. It was probably a strand that I had already had and that's why it was so short. But he didn't have an explanation for the random 100 temp with vomit on thursday. I woke up this morning feeling like I had a huge rat stuck in my throat. My throat is so sore and it hurts when I swallow or yawn. Don't understand that, but I am blaming everything on my biotchy co-worker. She apparently has had a cold for 3 weeks now. Ahhhhhhh! I can't take a cold or anything to Morocco! I have to be healthy! Good thing she is goign to be in Jamaica all night week. Finally a break from her. I don't know what the heck she is doing over at her station, but all morning she has waited on 3 customers while I have waited on 25 so far. I think she does it on purpose. She doesn't do anything, and she moves my stuff for her on convience and she is always late for work, and she's a crabby woman of 35! And the worst thing, she's going through the visa process and has been going through it for 3 years and her husband still isn't here and my husband already has his residency card. I think that's why she's bitter toward me too. Anyway, Other than still feeling a little congested, and a little crabby, I am better. Thanks Melly.

I noticed lately that I am using exclamation marks all the time (here and other places). I think it's from posting here and all the congratulations that we give for everyone. All of a sudden I feel like I need to use them for everything.

Anyone else notice they do or did this?

Funny you say that. When I was in high school and college, all the papers I turned in had this super high amount of exclamation marks. Where a period should have been there was an exclamation mark instead. I finally learned to lighten up on it's use, but still every one in a while I will still over do it.

Can you bring your own small coffe maker? At my old job we were allowed and 3 of us would take turns making it and buying the coffee.

Out of all my songs, I definately love my Moroccan music and my country! I think I need to get the rest of my counrty music on here, especially before my trip to Morocco.

Right now, we don't care if it's a boy or a girl. We just wanna get pregnant. And I am sure even after we come back from Morocco, we are still going to have quite a while before that happens. Hopefully I am wrong and we will get pregnant while we are in Morocco. That would be funny! We would be coming home with a nice souvenier!

I have one thing to say... Dude, that sux! If someone told me to remember the Quran by heart in 6 months or go to jail for a year, I think I would go to jail. I don't think there is anyway for that man to rmember the whole thing by heart when it takes years and years! Good luck to him though!

Can you get sick from vaccinations? I've been sick all week, and it seems that every time I take the pill for typhoid the day after I am running a fever. On Saturday night I had a fever of 102 and felt liek I was going to die! Today I am all achy again and my throat is killing me! I tried to call the doc on Friday, but never recieved a call back. I hope this goes away soon because I am leaving in less than three weeks for Morocco and I don't want to be sick one day while I am there.

Well I think this is a funny post. My husband has a lot of these qualities, but then again I see these in myself also.

GEG- I was actually thinking about the outfit the man is wearing. I was picturing my husband wearing it. The funny thing is, I think he actually would love to wear it!

Oh my gosh! I take an hour lunch and come back and look at all the food, and now I am hungry again! Oh well....

I love the jilabias! My MIL made me one for when I go to Morocco! I am so excited to wear it! The only thing, I think she might have made it too small in hopes that I lost weight over these past 6 months when actually I gained like 5 pounds! Oh no!

Now that I saw a picture of that b'stilla, I think I am going to have to make some tomorrow for my husband. Yummy!

I'll take the couscous any time of day! Which makes me remember that oday is Jummah and they have MOroccan couscous at Makkah Market! Waaahhhh! I wanna go! I hate work!
