Had my interview this morning. I got approved! The interview went well and I had all the paperwork in order. The visa will arrive in about two weeks, they said. They asked me the following questions (might have forgotten some):

    Who's *fiancées name*?
Who's this? (pointing to people in pictures)
    How do you communicate?
    How did you meet?
Which app? (we met through a smartphone app)
How long were you in the US when you were a student?
What does you fiancée do for work?
What do you plan on doing when you get to the US?
    Are you together now?
    When were you together last?
How many times has your fiancée been to Norway?

The whole thing took about an hour. Very smooth. I looked through my papers many times beforehand to make sure everything was in order. I will post a full review later!

    Congrats randb!! Almost done!!!

I haven't posted in a while because I was overseas in Manila during Christmas to attend our interview with my fiancé, and then went to visit her family in her province for New Years.

Wonderful news!  Our interview was approved.  A few questions in and somehow we got onto the topic of food and recipes with the interviewer.  My fiancé and I started completing each other's sentences about a recipe and the interview just stopped the interview and said "I can tell you are in love, your visa is approved, Merry Christmas.  She also mentioned that it was really nice that I attended the interview with her as her petitioner.

That interview was on Dec 27, and a couple days ago my fiance picked up her passport and visa from the 2GO location near her province, Jan 5th there, 4th here in US.  She had it in hand while I was still flying back home to US.

All that is left is her required attendance at and stamp from the CFO seminar/guidance counseling program in Manila, then she can get on a plane!  Both of us have a few things to take care of before we can do that, so probably February or March if we can be patient enough to wait 4-8 more weeks.

Thank you to everyone here for their help and support, congrats to those approved, and thoughts and prayers for those working towards their approvals.  God bless!

Congrats to both of you!! One last step and done with k1 visa.. i read that during the interview you were allowed to stand beside your fiancee??

  3. We got approved :)

We have the same interview date congrats to us!! Hehehe yes just wait for the mail. Or you can check ceac from time to time.?

    Hi guys.

I need some help. My fiancée submitted our application for k1. We still haven't had our nao2 and the service centre have had our reply to our rfe 90 days we call every week and get no joy. We request to talk to level 2. Who when they call are rude to my fiancée and then hang up without telling her anything. What do we do we're are now told to wait until the end of January to find out further news. When we don't have any now. This takes our application to 7 months at the end of January. Who can we contact is there a level 3. I was hoping for good news but yet again customer service is missing the word service. Please any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you in advance

    Tajj

Im sorry to read this, i don't have idea what to do with your case but i hope you'll receive your noa2 by january.

  4. Our NOA2 was approved Nov 17. I called the NVC today for the very first time. Called at 10:15pm EST. On hold for 30 minutes and call was dropped/disconnected. Several deep breaths. Called again and got thru after 40 minutes of being on hold. Nice lady took my USCIS receipt number and said my case "was received today and it takes about 2 weeks to enter all the information into their system. Call back on 12/26 - actually we may be closed on that day so call back on 12/27". Hope this info helps others

You can call them again today the 2 weeks spiel is not true i got mine after 2 days just because i dint call them right away.. call them you might get your case nunber today.

  5. Done with my medical exams last december 8 and got the result december 9. Super thankful that i passed the medical. Now i am so ready for my interview on the 22nd except i am still waiting for the affidavit of support my fiance sent to me. He sent it last Nov.18 and accrdg to USPS it will just take 7-10 days. its already 3 weeks since he sent it and still receive no mail. Starting to freak me out.

  6. Hey. Might sound stupid, but just second guessing everything. Where do I pay for the ds-160 ?

From my us embassy page i got to a page ustraveldocs.com but dont know how legit it is. Well has to be but still. How did you guys pay for your ds160 application ?

We dint spend any penny for our ds160. Only for my visa and medical exam.

Just called NVC. They just received my case today. I will call tomorrow to see if they have a case number for me. Yay!!

    Congrats! =D

  7. My fiance called NVC yesterday and we finally got our case number and that our file was sent to the embassy on 17th November! A little short of a month from our NOA2 date. Super thrilled.

I have a question - how/where do you check to see if your case is in transit or has arrived in the embassy? I know some awesome person posted it here before and i tried looking for it but gave up halfway. =P

Congratulations to everyone who have had their approvals/case in transit/arrived in the embassy! so glad that we have a community here to share our experiences.
