Absolutely remember ongoing issues and unfinished conversations from Part 24, and carry on with them here!
So many approvals happened in the Part 24 thread that the blessings will certainly continue here in Part 25.

Instead of going for a long route of advance parole please contact you local congressman office so that he can inquire on your behalf

Good day all. It's been a long time since I've been on here. But my vawa was approved and I finally got my green card. My daughter did too. The thing with that is they miss spelled her name and I returned it and filed i90 we had biometrics done last year August. And it's going on 2 years now that I sent back her green card for their error on her name. I want to travel out of the country and thinking the best thing to do is renew her advance parole. Does anyone have any experience on a situation like this. Having an approved green card (including letter) and having to return it because of a spelling error and traveled out of the country while waiting on the corrected green card to arrive? Or is it just best to renew her advance parole to travel on?

Islanderk reacted to JeanneAdil in Bringing my cousin to the USA
was writing my part before i saw susieQQQ so i missed that line up/ trying to get my husband to apply for his mom (as eligible ) so she can apply for his brother but Adil says only as a tourist not to live here

Yes indirectly like @SusieQQQ clarified. The question was if the cousin can be brought and the answer is yes, there is a path and it starts with OP. OP-Parent-Sibling (family). Practical? May be or may not be. Their parents may not immigrate at all or may be not alive.

Islanderk reacted to SusieQQQ in Bringing my cousin to the USA
I assume very indirectly… if OP can sponsor a parent, then in 7 years (2 for visa and 5 for USC) that parent can sponsor a sibling; then approx 20 years after that (15 for visa and 5 for USC, optimistically) the aunt/uncle that got sponsored by OP’s parent can sponsor the cousin if the cousin is still unmarried, I get pretty close to 35 years or so before cousin can arrive through this route and another 15 if cousin married by then… not sure if arken was thinking of a less indirect route but this is hardly practical !

Your cousin can apply for a visitor visa to visit the US.
If you are talking about bringing him as an immigrant to live in the US through you, it could be possible indirectly but it's going to take 25-30 years or so.

Islanderk reacted to Crazy Cat in Bringing my cousin to the USA
There is no immigration path through you for a cousin.

Hey good morning everyone. So I got a notification from my account and it's good news .. my card is being produced and I'm only waiting on an update to my daughter.. it's finished.. all praises to The Most Hight God through CHRIST .. it's finished.. my case is unique and I'd love to share it with others but please don't judge me.. if anyone wants to know let me know . I'm a may 2018 filer and I got my VAWA approved in January.. I originally had a interview in ky in September but it got cancelled and moved to Virginia where I now live.. when they rescheduled my interview they added my daughter to join in as I filed for her i485 when my VAWA was approved in January.. thank you all.. I really appreciate you all encouraging words still willing and especially Sandra. She initially gave me the right information and the boost 3+ years ago when I was pregnant depressed and fled home with nothing but 2 suitcase.. I'm now in school hoping to become an immigration attorney to help people like us as there seem to be a lack of compassionate attorneys who blindly Rob us.. but catholic charities and Sandra are but the few who actually show us the love and compassion we need when we are at our lows.. hope one day I can proudly represent clients and form a bond with those who are in a situation like all of us was in. Like I said my situation is different and I'd love to share with those who would want to.. just know it's not a simple journey but one we can overcome

It happened to me.. completely blanked out the exact same day I received the email notification that actions have been taking on my case I checked it out it showed all the updates and approval for my i485 then in 2 hours tops it said can't show case status at this time. And it hasn't shown that my case has been approved ever since just interview was cancelled and correspondence has been mailed to me.. but today I got my daughter i485 approval letter. So I know we are in fact approved. I worried all weekend.. but I read that the system went down.. last week.. so that could be the answer

From my personal experience I will say that your I-360 is approved but they've been late to update the system and yourself yet. They won't start working on your 485 if it wasn't approved, please relax be very optimistic about it. It's nothing bad.
Mine was the same, I had no update about my 360 but went in for my 485 interview linked to it. I got the 360 approval letter in the mail a couple of weeks later after my interview 😃.

So many people got approved at over 25months..but you can ask your congressperson to interfere at this time..if you're pending security checks, then there's really nothing for you to do..but wait.💁

With all due respect, I think having members like @sandranj @Stillwinning!!!😊 and many many more good hearted people here is a true blessing. This forum brings us all together and helps tons of people like us in distress. My expensive lawyer did the bare minimum in terms of vawa application completeness. Just from reading all posts here i was able to get my vawa approved with no rfe! I am extremely grateful to you all beautiful people 🙏🏽
