My interview date is August 22nd! Just called NVC. @Mun95 they said I should get the letter by next week, so you will probably get yours next week also. Goodluck to the ones that haven't been scheduled yet, it's coming.

It is hard, but hang in there, you will get it soon. My step father is from Ecuador also and it didn't take long for them to schedule the interview for his mother at Guayaquil.

Please be informed that, upon receipt of your petition, the National Visa Center opens an electronic file for your beneficiary and transfers the petition to the consular section. Once the petition is received by the consular section, the consular staff will send a packet and an interview appointment letter to all addresses on record. Please wait patiently. 
 
...Anyway at least I gave it a try, I will wait patiently😀.

"Shortly"     On top of it all, they had clear instructions on their site that anything which was reviewed by NVC gets an interview date from NVC but doesn't hurt to try.

Ok mine said I should get a response in 1 to 3 days

Hi everyone, I could no longer reply on the last thread so I figured I'd do it here! My husband's interview at the US embassy in Cairo is tomorrow, July 12th! It's an early one so I won't be able to sleep at all. Wish us luck, it's been a long journey. Anyone care to tell us their experiences with the Interview in Cairo would be most helpful. I know he'll be ok, but I'm so nervous!
