People are never going to agree on a solution to this kind of problem. And coming to some middle ground will never happen either. People can go round and round trying to figure out what to do. One of the reasons that the Pres in The Commander in Chief. If there was 535 people in charge nothing would happen. Now bring in the International Community, again nothing happens. Iran is now threatening Europe if sanctions are imposed. Is Europe going to cave in to the threats?
Everyone thinks somthing should be done to take care of the problem/potential problem. How long do we wait , until something happens then react? Just ignore it and let someone in the region take care of it (Israel, Russia, China, India)?
Dunno – I tend to lean toward the idea that making no decision can be better than making a really, really bad one. And its all well and good talking about potential threats and being ‘proactive’ about heading them off at the pass – but none of that justifies cooking the books to make mountains out of relative molehills.
If this is a 'real' threat - we've done ourselves a disservice by already committing huge amounts of money, manpower and resources to countering a rather mediocre one.
No decision might be a worse deciaion. I agree, "Enroning" the books is a pretty snakey way to justify something, especially a war. Only history will show if Iraq was a mistake or not, it too soon to tell.
IMO, If Saddam was still in power we wouldn't be having this conversation. Iran would be worried abut Sunni power in Iraq.

My son is 15 and no where near mature or responsible enough to stay home by himself for 4-5 days. While we work, he may be by himself or with my 12 year old daughter; but only for a work shift.
There are very much difference on kids I know. I wouldn't let my husbands son on 15 stay alone 1 day. But since my own son on 16. 17 in a few month is very mature of his age I wouldn't be worry at all.
Kids over here seems for me to be more under protection and are kids longer.
So true.

The next illegal alien amnesty bill on the US senate docket will be attached to the AgJobs legislation. Harry Reid and the usual illegal alien cheerleaders bury this ####### in this legislation so it flies under the radar of the American people. In this case...it is a blanket amnesty for illegal agricultural workers (or anyone else that can produce counterfeit documents claiming to be an agricultural worker).
This type of ####### has nothing to do with aiding agriculture and everything to do with whatever personal agenda the illegal alien cheerleaders wish to accomplish.
Write your senator and tell them you do not want illegal alien amnesty attached to this legislation.
It wouldn't do me any good to call my senator and complain. I have the head of the illegal cheerleader section of the Senate, #######(head) Durbin for my "senator". Totally useless to try and talk to that chopfukc. My other Senator, Oboma, isn't going to do anything since he is absorbed in trying to beat Hillary. So in a real sense I have no representation in the senate.
Won't do me any good either. One Senator is a Liberal who thinks it more important that Cell Phone Companies not charge for opting out of a service plan. The other is a former Democrat. He's a RINO who supported the last bill.

I used the nicotine gum. After the physical withdrawls stopped I ate jolly ranchers.

I buy peanutbutter cups and Kit-Kats. I don't get many kids, so its more for me.

Its corn that's driving up the dairy prices.
I thought it was illegal immigration and global warming
Global warming is making the push for ethanol higher. Which raises the demand for corn. Causing rising prices in dairy products.
Does that work?
-
I hear what you're saying Amber. Cheese, as well as all dairy products, at least here in MO anyway, have really risen lately. I'm a huge cheese lover. It's one of those things right now, that I'm not willing to sacrifice on though. I buy some products that are generic, so that I can have name brand things that I like. I guess running a cafe, you have to maybe look at increasing your product price, as the prices arise, or maybe not putting cheese on an item unless it's ham and cheese or something? Tough choices!

Keep telling yourself it doesn't matter if you talk smack about immigrants.
After all, the laws that are written - fueled off the misconceptions of middle America about immigrants - won't affect your family, will it?
This is a good point. My husband passes for American; if my friends didn't know us and our story, they'd never guess he was Canadian. And I think most illegal sentiment is (sadly) directed at Hispanics. Almost no one ranting about illegals means 'those with an expired I-94!' but 'there's a sign in my neighborhood in Spanish and I saw a group in the parking lot at Home Depot.' (This is regional; never seen it at any Home Depot in two states.)
Many people don't distinguish; Tancredo wants to halt legal immigration and had fanatical support at one point just because people don't like foreigners. (If you hadn't noticed that Tancredo was against legal immigration, that's pretty good evidence for rebeccajo's claim.)
But every law that is passed out of ignorance (pretty much every DMV law meant to 'catch' illegals, any hoop to make sure you're not working illegally) makes it 100 times harder for a legal immigrant. The illegal immigrants are going to ignore the law anyway, but we'll make sure that legal immigrants have to show ID in order to get basic services. What worries me when people get all on the i-hate-illegals train is that they'll get another dumb law passed that won't do a blessed thing to secure the border or help enforcement, but will make sure that no one here legally can get a bank account.
Don't forget the people that are dead set on the Gov't enforcing fines and penalties on employers who hire illegals. When the Gov't is what causes the problem by not securing the border. If the Gov't did their job there won't be millions of illegals here.

The guy that killed her is 19. He is getting charged with 2nd Degree Murder. He shot her in the back, tied her up, and stuffed her in the trunk of her car.

People should be careful using these sites to sell things. I read an article one that did a study that tracked what items were being sold when the buyer turned out to be a crimminal. Jewelry and musical gear were the top two. It seems like certain items attract the wrong sort of people. Example, you would be in a lower risk selling a baby crib than a 2,000 car stereo.
Did you even read the article? Nothing was sold.

I'm 33 and Tuyen is 21. Don't worry about it but be prepared to address the issue if it comes up. If all your bonafides are in order you should have no problems

The guy will only be in the pen for about 8 years too . I wish we had the death penalty here. Average prison sentence in MN for a Violent Felony is 7.5 years

I think the final thing he said was that we had not enough evidence and hadn't spent enough time together in person. How long does it take them to send it back to the US and which representative should I contact??
I'm still waiting on my Letter of Intent, our interview was in Aug.
Rep.- It depends on what District you live in. Go to US House of Rep. website. You can find your Rep there. You will also have to sign a privacy consent form in order for your Rep to look into your case.
-
If you can, don't let it get sent back to the US. It only delays the process.
Did the CO issue a Blue Slip to you SO? It should state on it what the reason for the Intent to Deny is. My wife got a Blue Slip for more evidences, then went back to the Consulate before I got to see our blue slip and she was denied also. Now I am gathering a ton of evidence, affidavits, ect. to rebut the CO's findings when I get the Letter of Intent to Deny.
Get you Representitive involved. From what I have heard about fiance petitions is they expire after a certain period.
Even if you plan on doing a refile (whether a K-1, K-3, ot CR-1/IR-1) respond to the official Letter of Intent to Deny from the USCIS and try to rebut the CO's findings.
Good luck.

Oh there will be pictures . I'm working on uploading another 100 pictures of a typical moto ride with Tram to downtown and back again. I won't be traveling outside of HCMC this time. I'm just here for 2 weeks visiting Tram. I'm having the hardest time convincing her to show me her city.
It goes like this:
Tim: "I want to go to ___"
Tram: "No, I hate, they will all say, you buy buy buy"
or
Tram: "No, it is too hot, I am too lazy"
or
Tram: "No, it is too far"
or
Tram: "No, I don't want my skin black, later at night"
or
Well, you get the picture heheh. The worst part? I can't argue with her. If I try to, she just looks away and ignores me... nice... heheheh. Now she is trying to pawn me off on her mom if i want to go out and do things. I'm like... right... and then i will die of thrist because i don't know how to speak vietnamese heheh.
How on Earth do i get this girl to take pride in her city and culture??? Oh well, i'll just keep nagging her until she caves in heheh.
Oh another thing, because i'm such a "Handsome American" It bothers her that people talk too much about me and try to get me to buy things, and she HATES when they raise the prices because i am with her. She is more than happy to stop everything and go get me something but does not always like to bring me along because of the prices.
/Rant
Sounds about right.
I'll suggest going somewhere and its too hot. When she wants to go, its never too hot.

You think if that if the Gov't can make money off employers who hire Illegal Immigrants, they would fix the problem?
The Gov't won't do a thing to fix the problem. Republicans like cheap labor and Democrats like the votes.

Wouldn't it be nice to have one income? And with that income, have a house, a car, send 2 kids to college, and have money for retirement.
Its only going to get worse once the "Boomers" start retiring and SS running out, fuel going up, food going up, ECT.
Just think of the COGs if the US wasn't buying from 3rd world Countries.
