  1. Food staples starting to run out in Egypt

(CNN) -- While discontent, resentment and nationalism continue to fuel demonstrations, one vital staple is in short supply: food.

Many families in Egypt are fast running out of staples such as bread, beans and rice and are often unable or unwilling to shop for groceries.

"Everything is running out. I have three children, and I only have enough to feed them for maybe two more days. After that I do not know what we will do." school administrator Gamalat Gadalla told CNN.

The unrest has paralyzed daily life in Egypt with many grocers closing shop and spotty food shipments.

"With the curfew, there are no restaurants, food or gas. Basic goods will soon be in shortage," Sandmonkey, an Egyptian blogger said via Twitter.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has ordered a curfew in Egypt to be extended from 3 p.m. to 8 a.m. on Monday, further stifling normal life in the embattled nation.

Egyptian state-run Nile TV has set up a hotline for citizens to call in and report bread shortages. There has been no other indication of what the Egyptian government is doing to address the crisis.

  2. Sorry to hear you got a denial.

The sheet you got from the CO should list everything they found wrong about your case. Start gathering the evidence to rebut the CO's finding. Everything listed must be addressed. Once you get the official letter for the rebuttal, you have 30 days to respond. That's 30 days from when the USCIS generates the letter, add in the time in the mail and its about 3 weeks to respond.

As for the timing, it will probably take a month for the Consulate to forward your case to the NVC. The NVC then sends it to the USCIS. All you will get for answers is if they have your case and/or if is was forwarded. Our case took over two years, from the time the case was sent back to when we had the second interview.

    Good Luck

  3. Have your keys ready before you get to your car. You don't want to fumble around for them at you vehicle.

Under stress your body loses fine motor skills. Some of those nice wrist locks, pressure points, ect will be useless unless practiced. Most likely you won't have the ability to perform them when the time comes.

  4. MC is right on avoidance. Try not to get yourself in that position. Be aware of what is going on around you.

If you do get into a situation, look for a way to escape. Run away or talking your way out of it.

If those fail, defend yourself until you can escape or the threat is neutralized.

Pick up and/or use anything that can be a weapon. Don't strike or kick the groin, grab a handful and don't let go.

  5. My fiancee come out with a blue slip.

    The questions she vaguely remembered

    1)What is his name?

2)What does he do for a living?

    3)Who introduce you to him?

4)When did he proposal to you?

5)When did you had the Dinh Hon?

6)Do you live and eat together like husband and wife? (She answer the question yes in a shy way, kind of with a light giggle)

My fiancee has a shy personality and I think that really hurts that 1 question. Personally, I do believe they doubt the relationship. I don't have the entire blue slip description yet from my fiancee. I do however know that 1 of it is the bona fide relationship part.

    * Based on the information ascertained through the visa interview and through documentary materials, consular offers do not believe that there is a bona fide fiance(e) or spousal relationship between Petitioner and Beneficiary. If you have any other evidence to present which would convince a reasonable person that the relationship exists for a reason other than immigration, please submit it. Please label and itemize all materials submitted.

What do I seriously do now or can I do much? I'm already searching for airplane ticket for another visit before she has to turn it in next month. What would be the best way to convince them of our bona fide relationship?

    Some background

    1st trip: June 2009(No photos)

    2nd trip: February 2010(Dinh Hon)

    3rd trip: September 2010(Nha Trang)

Total relationship time about 1 1/2 years.

Did your fiance bring evidence to the interview? Did the CO look at any of it?

  6. Sure, after capture. Are you familiar with the Liberator pistol?

I don't know if you saw the recent e-mails about how many sportsmen headed out to harvest deer in the US over the past few months but the sheer number of armed men - even armed with shotguns - would be enough to deter the military and eventually win a prolonged campaign. However, the fact of the matter remains it would never happen to begin with because the military doesn't do police work, and there aren't enough police to occupy America.

That doesn't even take into account the number of US military personnel that would say F that and side with the citizens.

  7. A couple years ago one of my friends jumped all over this ####### claiming the US is a corporation and we are collateral for the US .gov for the debt owed to England. He said he could get out of it using UCC Statues. "All you have to do is file some paperwork." I told him to do it then. To this day he still spouts off about it and still hasn't filed any paperwork to free himself.

  8. Scott and Dan are right. They do give out wrong information sometimes. When Tuyen had her interview after our rebuttal (CR1) they told us that a I134 would be required. She handed it in and we were then given a green slip for an updated I864.

If you're still worried, just do both.

    Good Luck!

  9. What did she think would happen?

    :lol::wacko:

    'Birther' arrested during Constitution reading

A woman was arrested in the House gallery Thursday after interrupting a reading of the Constitution by yelling out her belief that President Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen of the United States.

When Rep. Frank Pallone (D-N.J.) read the part of Article II, Section 1 mandating that only a "natural-born citizen" may be president, the woman, seated in the front row of the public gallery, screamed "Except Obama, except Obama. Help us Jesus."

An officer removed her from the gallery as she yelled out "My name is Theresa."

"You're under arrest," the officer could be heard telling her as he led her through double doors at the back of the chamber.

Members are rotating by party as they read short passages from the amended version of the founding document. Speaker of the House John Boehner kicked off the reading, followed by Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Other than high attendance on the House floor and participation by leaders and rank-and-file members of both parties, the early part of what was expected to be a roughly two-hour reading was unremarkable until the outburst.
