  1. you answer yes because you have been charged. Then, when it asks for details, include the information you have about the speeding tickets. Traffic violations of this nature that don't include drugs and alcohol are not a problem in qualifying for citizenship but you do need to list them. While you probably weren't arrested, you were detained and charged or cited for the tickets. They shouldn't be a problem. Just be honest and include the documentation you have.

Do you still have the paperwork that shows you paid the fine? If not you should contact the police agency involved. They should have a record of the dates and be able to provide you with copies of the information.

    Thank you Kathryn41

I do have receipts for my ticket that i paid them. but i don't know if i have to send the receipts with

my file or not? because the instruction says if fine and under $500 u don't need to include it ?

please correct me if I'm false ?

    Thank you.

  4. I'm mailing my application next week using N-400 form that says "expires on 12/31/09".

    Will it still be okay?

I think u have to wait and see if they update the form by time when u r planing to file, if not use the current one .

Me too i'm planing to file mine this month and i'm waiting to see if they will update it.

    Good luck

  5. I am just curious as to where everyone found their tickets to bring their husbands/fiances from morocco.. I did find a really cheap one on expedia for $775 one way from Casa to St Louis on January 19th.. Which is a great price I know.. Just curious as to how much cheaper it could go haha

best way to get cheapest ticket is go to www.cheapoair.com or www.travelone.com and try to book from new york (jfk) to casablanca and then try to book anther ticket from ur city to new york that will be cheapest way.

i did that in all my trips to morocco. and it worked out very well.

  6. I have four traffic tickets ever since I came to the US

    1. September 2006 - Speeding ticket in - No fine only warning

    2. March 2006 - Speeding ticket in - Got a fine and paid

    3. April 2005 - Got a ticket as my car windows were tinted - went to court and charges were dismissed

    4. November 2002 - Got a ticket for not wearing seat belt (in the back seat)

How do I specify them in Section D - Moral Character for have you ever been cited or arrested?

For ticket 2, I am thinking of following

Why were you arrested, cited, detained or charged?

Speeding - Should I specify the amount of fine here? Should I also specify how much I went over the speed limit by

For the outcome or disposition question?

Should I specify Fine, Paid ticket

That's up to u if u want to report it or no. But my opinion u have to answer Yes to question but u don't need to explain anything and if they ask u in the interview tell them it was fine and u paid them.and u bring the receipt with u for to be in safe side.

    Good luck

  7. Hi Angela and Hicham

According to the USCIS, one has to meet all of the following conditions in order to become a US Citizen (based on marriage):

-Been a permanent resident for 3 years

-Been married to the same USC for 3 years

-Your spouse/you must have been a USC for at least 3 years (which if born in the USA, since their birth)

-Been residing physically in the USA for 3 years

    In your case:

The earliest you can file for US Citizenship is 3 years minus 90 days from the "residence since" date on your 2yr/10yr green card of 04/25/07 (as mentioned on your vj timeline that this is the date): Monday, January 25, 2010, or anytime after that.....

According to this time/date calculator: http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadded....p;ad=90&aw=

    For example, in my situation:

I have been a permanent resident since November 2006.....

I was married in April 2006...

My spouse/husband has been a USC since birth

I have not had any absenses of residency out of the USA since...so that doesn't matter against me in my case....

Therefore, the earliest I can apply for US Citizenship is August 2009 (though I applied in September 2009, as there was a delay in my son's birth certificate), 90 days before the 3 years after the "residence since" date on my green cards, which is when I meet all of the requirements of citizenship based on marriage.

Hope this helps. Good luck on the rest of your immigration and citizenship journey too.

    Ant

    Hello everybody,

Please help me to know right date to file?

  8. Hello,

I'd like to apply for a Master Program and I'd like to get my diplomas (bachelor degrees) and transcripts accredited by an agency here in the US (and get the equivalence of the GPA as well). I do have the translation of the documents. However some agencies ask that the transcripts to be sent by the educational institution overseas, a thing that is almost "impossible" from Moroccan universities... so my option is: I send myself the original documents or certified copies to them!!

Does anybody recommend any agency and others to avoid. Answers from people with Moroccan degrees will be a plus.

    Many thanks

    Sorry brother

I don't think they will accept any diploma from morocco.

You have to start from new here if want to continue your school .

  9. I think I lost mine, I was gonna make a copy and fax it to my employer but it seems it's disappeared into the thin air. I have no idea where I put it . It's not where I left it.. I'm so frustrated. Can I get a new one? If not, can I still work after my card is expired? Thanks guys.

Make infopass and go to your local office and explain to them the situation and probably will stamp your passport for 1 year, and that valid for work and travelling.

    Good luck.

  11. I submitted my removal of conditions in December 2008, got the passport stamp in February, but have had no online "touches" on my cases since January 29 this year.

I notice that people who filed to remove conditions long after me have been getting their approvals and now I'm getting worried. Anyone else in this position? Do I need to make an Infopass appointment?

    Hello,

  15. Hello everybody. I submitted my I-751 petition and it has February 11th. 2009 as the official date. I have received every document like the extension status of 1 year more and the notice of the appointment for fingerprinting and taking of photos. The appointment of photos and fingerprints I already had it on March in Philadelphia, PA. Since that date I have checked frequently the internet processing times, unfortunately I have not received absolutely nothing else. I have just watched the last updated for that petition with my official date and the VSC service center, it appears within 6 months, the timeframe is of course on August 11th of 2009. My question is: What has happened with my case? I have not received anything neither a notice of appointment, neither nothing so far after the fingerprinting and photos. I have seen there are people that filled maybe like 4 or 6 weeks later than me, and it looks like their cases has been processed. Anybody think that is it possible another interview? (I have had just one with my wife exactly 2 years ago in Philadelphia). Please anybody can recommend me something? (I have just called costumer service in USCIS, they say that if I don't have any notice or someething until August 11th, I have to call them right away, and they tell me what I have to do. Please somebody give me maybe a comment, suggestion, insight, opinion; anything is helpful for me , thanks so much, J.C.
