Congrats! Call them and ask to resend you the letter.
How long did you wait for the date?
Is it combo or just I751 interview? Where is your local office?
The letter finally arrived after 8 days 🙂
The interview is on November 5th, and it's just for the I-751. My local office is Portland, Oregon.
Best wishes to everyone still waiting!

Finally got a notification that my interview has been scheduled! 😀
The only thing is, I got the notification 1 week ago but haven't received the actual letter with the interview date yet... so now I'm worried the letter has gone missing and I'll miss the interview! 😬

I just got my latest estimate from VisaJourney for approval of my 10-year green card... February 2021 🙄 (I filed at the end of June 2019.)
Is there anyone who had their interview waived for the 2-year green card, and also had it waived for the 10-year green card? I assume this is the reason for the delay... the interview. I didn't have an interview for the 2-year green card, so I assume I have to have one for the 10-year - right? Or has anyone had the interview waived for both stages? @Vengatore and @Fairygirl_90, I think maybe you guys didn't have an interview for either card?
Looking ahead, I'm also eligible to apply for citizenship in September. I remember reading something about it being a bad idea to apply when your 10-year green card application is still pending (it slows both applications down, or something). Does anyone know if this is true? Thank you!

I woke up to a text message this morning saying that my case had been updated. I was all excited, assuming I'd been approved like so many others have been recently.
Nope. My case has been transferred to another USCIS office. 😐
I assume this is neither good or bad (maybe slightly more good since at least it means my file still exists and hasn't been lost?!), but if anyone knows whether I should be pleased or worried, let me know! Thank you 🙂

Hey all, I was wondering if this is normal? We had the biometrics appointment back in Nov 2019 but still haven't heard anything back and I'm beginning to worry a bit.
I think it's very normal... or at least I hope so, since I'm the same! Biometrics were 13 November, no update since then. My office is Nebraska (LIN).
Oh, and the USCIS website (egov.uscis.gov) only just allowed me to see my case history - before that it said my case number didn't exist. The other site, my.uscis.gov, has always allowed me to see my case, but the status on that site hasn't updated since 27 June (still says "case was received" 🙄).

My application is through Nebraska Service Center too and I just received biometrics appointment for Nov 13th as well. Looks like we are on the same timeline
So glad we're making progress - finally!! 😀

Thanks @Boketto and @oodlesofpoodles! It's annoying, but at least other people are in the same boat 😐
Hopefully we'll get some kind of update soon!

Is anyone else still waiting for any kind of status change? My case was received on June 27th and the status still says "Case Was Received" in https://myaccount.uscis.gov/. 🙁
I also still can't log in to https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do - it has said from the beginning that my receipt number is invalid (and the case tracker app says the same).

What's wrong with USCIS?
Package received on 6/28
Check cashed on 7/5
I waited all day on friday for the texts....it never arrived.
I had a hunch to go and check the mailbox. Lo and behold, my extension letter was there waiting for me.
Still, no text from USCIS. My receipt number says YSCXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
I tried to track it via USCIS app and it says invalid receipt number.
Am I living in a parallel universe?
My receipt number was apparently "invalid" at first too. Wait a few days and try again. Don't worry!!
Not sure why you weren't notified by text, though.

Any news? Mine arrived the same day as yours. Check still not cashed as of now.
Yes! My check was cashed and I got a text with my receipt number on Friday, 06/28. My NOA letter came yesterday, 07/01.

Has anyone got an error message when trying to add their receipt number to their "My Cases" in USCIS online? I got a text with my receipt number on 06/28, but when I try to add the receipt number to "My Cases" I get this error message:
"Validation error: You are attempted to add a receipt number that does not exist in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again."
Is it because it's too soon?
Ah - just read previous threads and seen that I need to wait for the biometrics letter before I can start tracking the case. 😐

Hi everyone! I mailed my package last week, and it was delivered to the AZ lockbox on Monday, 6/24. I included the G-1145 but no updates yet.

Update: this is the original article by WBUR: http://www.wbur.org/news/2017/03/30/green-card-ice-arrests-lawrence
The USCIS office where this happened was in Lawrence, MA. All the arrested persons had prior deportation orders.

Just reading this article: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/apr/01/green-card-arrests-undocumented-immigration-trump
In summary, a man was arrested by ICE when he was at his I-130 interview with his (US citizen) wife at a USCIS office in Massachusetts. He did not have a criminal record, and has several US citizen children with his wife, but did have an order of deportation against him. It seems that USCIS called ICE.
Four others were detained the same day. This case is particularly concerning because I thought overstays were forgiven when you filed (?? Or is that just for AOS?):
"[ICE also arrested]...a Brazilian woman in her late 30s, [who] is also married to a US citizen and has a US born teenage child. ... She came to the United States in 2001 and overstayed her visa. She does not have a criminal record, [her lawyer] says. She was detained immediately after she and her husband were interviewed for I-130 approval, which would have paved the way to her obtaining a green card."
Mods, please move this post if it's not in the right place!

I went to my infopass appointment today.
After explaining the problem (none of my NOA1s have notice dates on them), the women searched my case online and told me the received dates for each form - which I already knew from checking my status online.
Me: "But I'm concerned that if I travel out of state [I live in Chicago, a sanctuary city], and I'm asked for my documentation, there'll be an issue because these letters don't have dates on them, so there's no proof that I filed for AOS on time."
Her: "Hmm, ok."
She then went to ask someone in the back whether the lack of notice dates was a problem. She was gone a long time.
Her: "So the missing notice dates are our mistake - that's a USCIS mistake. What I suggest you do is request to expedite your combo card [EAD and AP], because that will have a date on it. Don't travel without the AP."
She then gave me an email address at the Texas Service Center, which she said I should email to request an expedite.
So...
I don't really know what to think! I did ask her if I could get copies of my NOA1s with dates on, but she kind of ignored that. Do you think she was confused, and thought that I meant to travel outside of the US?? I was just asking about domestic travel, as I know that people have been asked for their immigration paperwork on domestic flights recently.
Should I try to expedite my EAD/AP, as she suggested?? I've never heard of an expedite being granted for this reason.

hello everyone!
I had my infopass appointment today and the issues have been resolved! The lady who was dealing with the issue was very nice. I was told it was an error on their end and the dates are needed on the notice. She was very concerned about it. She contacted MSC and they sent her duplicate copies of NOAs with the dates on them via fax. Apparently the copies USCIS had were dated but it just didn't print on the original forms that were sent to me.
I would advise those who have the same problem to make a infopass appointment if a office is nearby to obtain duplicate NOAs
Thanks for updating us! Even though my lack of notice dates hasn't been a problem so far, I've made an infopass appointment to get it sorted out anyway.

Dowbs- my case status is coming up as invalid on the website, I called USCIS and was told the same thing that its invalid and that they cannot find anything. If I could access my case status online it would have solved the problem because it would have the received date and Iwould have printed that out and kept it as a backup but I not able to do that.
I have nothing to prove the date it was received and accepted.
I understand some may feel that I'm stressing for nothing but I have 2 issues here. The bigger one now being that even USCIS cannot access my case status on their system and being told its showing invalid.
I guess I will wait and see what happens tomorrow at the info pass appointment
Sure, I was just trying to reassure you that the lack of dates on your NOA1 might not be a problem. In fact, I think it's normal.
I get why your case status coming up as invalid would be scary, but as others have said it does take a few days usually so I wouldn't panic yet. (I don't know when you received your NOA1 - today? Yesterday?) Anyway, you have an infopass appointment tomorrow so hopefully you can clear it all up then!

We have the same case and I'm also done with biometrics. However these noa dates are important to me cos my i-94 has expired and I can't get any USA id amymore so I would like to carry my noa's all the time together with my marriage certificate because of all the ICE arrests. I look Hispanic, and I see on tv that they arrest mostly Hispanics. I just want to be on the safe side and have something in purse that can tell them what my status is.
I understand your concern. It would definitely be easier if USCIS put dates on the NOA1! I was just trying to say that I don't think the lack of a date is a mistake. I think it's normal for it not to have a date, for some reason.
Could you print out your case status from the USCIS website, and carry that with you too?

I think you guys may be worrying about nothing. I received my NOA1 in January (see timeline) and of the boxes at the top, 'notice date', 'received date', 'priority date', 'preference classification' and 'date of birth' were all blank. Only the 'notice type', 'case type', 'USCIS alien number' and 'receipt number' were filled out.
I think they use the same NOA1 form for people filing for AOS from different types of visas. So people filing from a work or tourist visa may have different boxes filled out. I was filing from a K1 visa, and my receipt/case number works on the USCIS website, I received my biometrics appointment letter in February as expected... everything is fine. I was confused about the 'notice date' being blank, but it doesn't seem to have caused any issues.
Note that on my biometrics appointment letter it also had blank boxes: 'social security number' (even though I have one), 'account number', and 'TCR'. The only boxes filled out were 'application number', 'notice date', 'case type', 'USCIS A#', 'code' and 'service center'.

Are you a man or a woman?
In the US if you are a woman, a marriage certificate serves as proof of a name change, and you can just bring it to the SS office / DMV to change your name on your SS card / driving licence / state ID. You can also present your marriage certificate and an ID in your new name to your bank. When you apply for AOS (and Advance Parole and EAD), you should apply with your new double-barrelled name. If you continue to use your passport with your maiden name on it, it shouldn't be a problem (you'll need to book your travel in your maiden name), but you could bring your marriage certificate when travelling if you're worried. Ideally you should obtain a new passport in your new name within the first year of your marriage, apparently.
If you are a man, generally a marriage certificate isn't enough to prove a name change (which doesn't seem right to me
). The laws on how to do it vary state by state, so you'll need to research how it works where you live.
For a new British passport with a name change, just go to the UK passport website to see what documents are required. I think you need to send in one document that shows your new name is the one you currently use (like a SS card or driving licence), plus your marriage certificate. The requirements are the same whether you are a man or woman. You don't need to do a name change by deed poll or anything like that.
