OP applied for IR-1/CR-1 Visa. This is not just applicable for K1. This is required at NVC stage. Since you are in US already and I am not familiar with the process when the beneficiary does AOS (Adjustment of Status) within US, I wouldn't comment on that. Someone who's more qualified in that regards will answer your question. (I would obtain a PCC from Combodia, if I were you)

Agreed with everything but the children aspect. I don't think just because someone doesn't have kids for 2 years after getting married, that means ill-intent. There are lots of reasons to not have kids for more than 2 years. Some couples can't conceive for years.

I received my biometeics 23 - 24 days after USCIS received my case. It does vary from case to case. Also, it is not necessary that tou will be required to provide biometrics. There have been cases recently where they didn't require biometeics for I-751.

What I was referring to is, if you are already married for 2 years or more when the beneficiary enters USA, they will be given 10 year GC and not 2 years conditional GC, which would eliminate the requirement to file for ROC.

You can, but you might want to look at the timeline between a Permanent Resident sponsoring a spouse and a USC sponsoring one. You may want to wait until after you become a USC. Alternatively, you can get married and wait until you are a USC to sponsor your spouse, that way you will have been married for more than 2 years and you can avoid going through ROC process again.

It is advisable in this situation that you arrange for a co-sponsor. The final decision is up to CO, so I wouldn't take a chance.

You can upload the co-sponsor form on the NVC portal and take a copy to the interview (same as what you asked)

I got this too! It’s because you signed up for notifications on activity (or lack thereof) every two weeks or so. I opted into these notification emails on the USCIS website.

You can Fill out Form G-1450 and put it on top of your petition. You can only use this if you are ending your petition to any of the lockboxes, so you can use this.

Tanish got a reaction from oflyingbunnyo in Do we need a Co-Sponsor?
That's a smart thing to do. If you can get a co-sponsor without much efforts, you should take it, if there is a chance that the petitioner's income may be below the 125% requirement.
I would like to rephrase here, that if the petitioner's income is sufficient, you don't need to have a co-sponsor, but if there is even a chance that the income is less than that, it is a good idea to get a co-sponsor.

Good luck with whatever path you choose.

Everyone reacts to situations differently. Remember that this is not juat an immigration help website, there are also people here who are going through similar situation, or who have already been theough that. You can always share your thoughts and experience and get it off your chest and get some great advise from some great people here.
As long as you find peace, that's what's important. I am glad it worked out for you.

That is really horrible, what you are facing. (I can't say I can relate, as my wife is also of Indian origin) Because of this, please disregard my suggestion if it is completely out of line.

Please try and discuss the option of moving a bit further away from family with your husband. Maybe a farther city or a different state probably? I know, it may not be a possibility, but it never hurts to discuss (if you believe you can discuss this without it worsening your relation with your husband). A little less contact with the family may help you adjust a bit better.

I really cannot think of anything else. I hope you get through this. Good luck.

No need to be that much afraid (paranoid). You can have dinner with close family (I would suggest refraining from gathering too many people), just make sure that there are no traditional (or formal) ceremonies related to marriage/wedding involved.
Then again, if you can wait for longer to go back after receiving AP and EAD, that would be an ideal case scenario.

Oh, I apologize for misreading your question. They may not even ask the question. They may get this information just by doing a background check. There are number of ways USCIS or DOS can get the information.
