I can't believe this thread is still moving. OMG we must be really desparate for some entertainment. We all defintely need a few good laughs at this point. In my 140 days I could married divorced and remarried again at least three times all through the k-1 process because they will trust me and I am an USC.... lol.....

BTW I gave them my phone number and asked them to call me if they needed my help in adjudicating my case.

On the I-129F application I told them I will get divorce soon and send them the divorce papers when I have them, but in the meantime they should start processing the other papers.

I just changed my flight in Korea to stay longer over the labor day weekend. Was only staying 4 days now 8 days. It is killing me financially taking off work, but my health is more important. (Especially SANITY!!!!)

Now, every hour or more, but when I am out of the office and return, the first thing I check is the website. When i wake up in the morning with the coffee brewing, I check the status also..... Thinking enough time has passed, maybe I will see an early christmas present.

I am still a Newbie to VJ and before filing, read and used all VJ's guides, past forums, and personal posts. Our petition seems to be kciking off pretty good with a wierd NOA1 from CSA even though I sent to NSC. Yes I know it will be sent there but I never even got a notice that it "Would" be sent and that quick? I just got an NOA1 from CSA. See my time line.

Question: I've read about "TOUCHES" and didn't think much about it. Until! shortly after my NOA1, I happened to login for a 2nd time later that day and WHAM! I had been touched Didn't see it coming My problem is that now I think I'm addicted to the USCIS.GOV web site just checking for Touches If this is realy a disease maybe I could find help through a good USCIS 12 step "TOUCH" program! Anybody else have this affliction? Maybe I have already found the group meeting but it's anonymous so no one will tell me

A word of advice though, be patient, be patient, be patient blah blah blah..... CSC is very slow but you will get your NOA2, but expect anything to happen. Lately, with the RFE debacle who knows. But you are less than 30 days old and under the new I-129F form. I hope you get a speedy approval though.

It sounds more like..... "if you don't do what I want or say or give me what I want then it is abuse." Abuse should only be considered abuse if the situation is extreme and the health and safety of the person is at risk.

Though not disagreing with this organizations point and I think its a good idea to work within the community and not in the courts in order to solve domestic abuse--I was kind of surprised at what the very broad definition of what abuse is by this organizations definition. On the infomerical the representative of http://www.menstoppingviolence.org stated that abuse is not just physical and sexual, but it can be mental, emotional, and even simple things such as withholding money from a spouse. The interviewer stated aren't you giving men a bad name--and the representative of this organization stated that no--because men are in constant denial that they are abusive. I guess by that standard of what they define as abuse then that would make anyone and everyone abusive at sometime. I dunno about that--I mean there are very violent and mean people. But relationships are not so one sided, we can't just paint all men as abusers.

But the reason I have post this topic here is because there seems to be a trend to paint all american men as abusers. And this organization at least recognizes that further legislation and the justice system is not the answer to correcting the problem. IMBRA while good intentioned is really just another ineffective law that further takes away the rights of our citizens. Social change cannot be legislated.

I was abused by a couple different girlfriends at one time or another. I literally mean physically abused, and I would not fight back. All I could do is cover my face and head and let them whale away. One hit me in the head with a shoe causing a huge gash. Of course, if they had not been drunk, I don't think their behavior would have been the same. I guess I was abusive because I was withholding sex because they were 3 sheets to the wind and I was rather disgusted. So if sex is withheld is that abuse also.... it can be mentally tormenting....

I may end up in Security Check hell as well. My name is in NCIC database as an alias to the creep that robbed my house and then used my name as an alias later. B@$stard! My congressmans office is already on that part of the issue, but not much they can do. They swear that since it is on the petitioner it will be easy to get through security but if it were on the beneficiary it may take more time. Hell who knows... I damn sure don't. I am actually on the watch list when I fly as well now. I have registered with TSA for indentity validation. I am just praying.

I quit smoking before all this #######, but now, any vice to help relieve the stress works for me. I used my party tokens already, so drinking too much doesn't help me. I already can't get out of bed in the mornings from the crappy sleeping with the anxeity.

It really depends on the relationship, but how did you make it before? How does being engaged make an entitlement?

That would only be appropriate if the fiance asked you to quit a job or changed something that changed your economic situation....

I'm a recall with a March 6 NOA1, March 31 NOA2. My NOA2 approval expired July 31, and I got totally unsatisfactory email responses from McClellan at CSC and NVC about what effect the expiration has on my case. Receipt of my IMBRA RFE was acknowledged by email July 11. My fiance is desperate as he has lost his job, and his mother is very ill in a third country. He has been holding off going to see his mother until this visa thing gets sorted out, but we're beginning to think there is no end to this delay. It is almost 90 days since he returned his instruction pkt. to the embassy in Paris on May 5, and then the petition was recalled due to IMBRA. If there is any way I can actually talk to someone at CSC with real knowledge of the status of my case, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks!
