Hi guys, the uscis website showed that I was approved on August 27, 2018, that’s the date I got an email from them to check the website and saw the approval. However, I received my hard copy NOA2 today on August 29, 2018 three days later but the date on the hard copy I received said my I-130 was approved on August 24, 2018 that’s three days before than what’s on the new website. My question is, which date of approval should I go with when calling NVC in a few days? Should I tell them the website approval date or the hard copy approval date?
Thanks in advance!
Hard copy is when it was approved, August 24th Friday, and August the 27th Monday, is basically when your NOA2 is printed out / ready to be mailed etc.

My case shows online approved on the 6th which was a Monday and we received the hard copy already on Thursday. However the hard copy showed a notice date of 08/03 so I’m not sure when the actual approval happened.
Your approval was on August 3rd.
I got my approval on June 28th, and didn't get the hard copy till July 3rd. I never got an email saying that it was approved only when I looked at the website. In fact I am still getting "We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time. We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on July 18, 2018. " as of this morning..... More about my process in the signature. -
I plan on using https://ils-usa.com/
Make sure to write their invitations for the homestay/private visa.

My date is January 12. I just got an email saying they touched my case 08/08/2018, still in review, no status update at this time. I as well, am in the Nebraska Service Center. My attorney told me long ago my husband will be in the USA before Christmas. Today he said the timelime looks like it will be 15 months before my husband will be here. This depresses me more. I wish I could jump on a plane to Plane to Palestine tonight !!!!!
I know what you mean about jumpping on a plane and see your husband. My husband and I thought about pausing his process and having me move there long term. While talking on the phone with him last night he got the welcome letter and same with him. Which picked up his spirits. Hopefully you'll hear good news soon. Its still hard to not have you spouse next to you. We have a lot of face to face time and the last time he was here in the USA was for 3.5 months, and we haven't seen each other for almost 3 months now. He got too independent on me while he was here on his business trips that he doesn't know what to do over in Russia. I really wish I was there to take care of him but can't yet. A lot of people keep asking me when will he be there, or why couldn't he stay here. Only people that will understand these pains will be military couples when their other is stationed somewhere away from them or People going thru this process.

Congratulations. Do you mean 25 days after your case received by NVC or from the day your case approved?
About 25 days after they received and about 2 months after approval.

Finally got our case numbers after waiting 25 days, and right now waiting on fees to clear and hopefully I get all our docs updated soon!
Got our case number today.

The USD is gaining strength. I sent money to my husband to help pay some of the mortgage on the apartment he bought us a year ago.
How we did it is a bit unique thought, one of his coworkers wanted to send money from Russia to the USD and I had extra money in our American bank account, and figuring how much I needed for immgration and back up funds. Etc. Our main bank wouldn't let my US paypal account to transfer to another US paypal account. (Yes its verified). So I physically had to move the money to another bank that we use, and he used his Russian paypal account to move the money into the coworker's family's US paypal.
I also forgot to add that i tried to have my husband (all the way in Russia)to used my us paypal account when he tryied to link the main bank account to his Russian paypal account and it gave him an error about one account to one bank account to the primary.
And yes paypal called me to verified me again..... So we had given up in using my account and used his paypal account with the 2nd bank. So it took us a week since I physically withdrew money from the atm and deposit it into the 2nd bank. And 5 minutes of me depoting the money he woukd transfer it to the other person. Surprised none of the accounts got frozen

Call either of the dept for confirmation
So I gave the NVC a call on Wednesday evening after work, the person that I spoke too told me my case is there and if I call this time next week I should have a case number and an invoice number, and I need to wait just a little longer. I don't think he was to say those words to me.... but should have told me to wait the "up to 8 weeks" thing

This morning a few hours ago I received this email "We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time" from USCIS..... my case has been at NVC since July 25th...So I don't understand why USCIS (no-reply@uscis.dhs.gov) is sending me emails.
I assume this is somewhat common?

It was funny, I called them today and they told me on the phone that they could see that my case was about half filled out. So I was planning on calling in the evening to see if it was finished, but we got the email before I could even call. Maybe those upgrades they recently did are helping speed up the emails!
That is awesome to hear! Yeah I wanted a Case number for my birthday (It was aug 7th), but it took nearly a month for NCV to get my petition. =\ Which is a week longer than I had predicted.

Update:
We got our NVC case number today! While paying bills is never fun, I'm so glad that our case is moving along. Good luck to all of you! And thank you everyone for the updates, it helps so much to hear about others in the same situation and to hear how long things have been taking for people.
NOA1: January 10, 2018
NOA2: June 23, 2018
NVC Received: July 16, 2018
Received Case # (and bills): August 8, 2018
Congrats!
Did you get an email or did you call them? I have it on my calendar that I need to start calling them in about 2 weeks.

I'm assuming at least a week to get to nvc. I've been thru this before with a k1 in 2016. No sense in calling. I emailed them last week and got a reply on Friday saying it wasn't in the system yet, they gave me no date of receipt. Maybe the inquiry by email prompted the processing, who knows. No we had normal processing.
Regardless that's awesome you had such a really quick turn around for your case number. I'm on week 2 at NVC, and will soon be bugging them.
Your time is coming up soon!

I wonder if it has to be the petioner and not the beneficiary. Job offer based on approval of a green card.
I know it states for beneficiary that if its current and will continue from the same source.

So now that our I-130 has been accepted... I believe my wife will need an NBI Clearance from the Philippines? And a Police clearance from Thailand where she currently resides?
Should we be working on that right now, or wait until we hear back from NVC?Personally I would look into how long it takes to get said items, if it takes a month or less I would wait till a few weeks or more after the NVC receives your petition. My husband already ordered his police certificate from Russia last month and got it last week..... Btw he was too antzy and ordered the damn thing to early I told him to wait till mid of August or so to get them. He does need to order the Ukrainian police certificate soon.... He should be getting his divorce certificate from his ex and his daughter's birth certificate really soon (last time I knew of he had to have all his children's birth certificates with him at interview, even if it's just him moving here.)

Hey when did you receive your approval notice in the mail after you got approved? In a couple days? Or longer?
NOA2: June 28th 2018, new website. Old website: July 17th sent to DOS (finally appeared July 29th, after 206 days after petition sent and stating not found) Emails & texts: nothing. Hard Copy states NoA2 is June 27, 2018.
NOA2: Hard copy: July 2nd 2018
So about less than a week after approval.
-
Well it finally happened, got a notification on both apps for tracking cases last night that my number is FINALLY showing up in the old website. Only took like 206ish days for it to show up....
Old website says my petition was sent on July 17th, new site says July 18th, email was sent on July 18th (6:25 am Est)

Well, according to my timeline here, my application is now 2 days past the due date. Just checked and it only says case was received. Should I check to ask?
https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ You have about a month of waiting still if you are a LPR or 2 months if you are a USC before you should call them, you are currently within their processing time.

Tonight I called NVC, and of course on the 1 day I took a break from calling them is the day they received my case.
Each time I called I would be told they can't find my file in the system, and today doing options 1(english), 1. I was told to hang up and call again but use option 1 (English) then 5.
I was told that it could take 8 weeks for the case to be fully uploaded into their system.
What was funny was that it took a bit for the guy to say something when he picked up the line. I just joked around saying it's been a super long day for him and I. Super long day when you only get 3 hours asleep each night and you get an awkward email from the company you work for, that sent the email to you and not the right person, (I guess I share the same 1st name of a new hire) where it lists the pay..... which happens to be enough that would help greatly and they are doing a lot less duties than I am, they are only doing about 25% of the things I can do, and anyone in the office gets trained to do. =\ The other 50ish% of what I do only long term employees can do, and the last 25% no one can do what I can do, besides my direct manager and the I.T. guy we have at the office. The last 75% was cross training from the 1st 25%, and some people don't move from that 25% or they quit or get fired. (we had two girls get fired with in the last 3 months.

I think I have the same problem as you have been having.
I logged into my USCIS account and now it doesn't say anything and I received an email saying "we are working on your case" even though I've had my approval notice in the post. Is that what's happened to you too?
Right now I'm trying to log into my.uscis.gov and I keep getting errors "500 Error We're sorry, something went wrong. The page you are looking for may not exist or is temporarily unavailable. To help you find what you are looking for, try: uscis.gov" I tried on my phone and I am getting the same error.
After I try logging into gov.uscis.gov (old site) and use my cse number, I still get "My Cases Validation Error(s) You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding: You are attempting to add a receipt number that does not exist in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. The My Cases page is your primary tool to manage all of your applications and petitions. You can use the My Cases page to add, remove, or check the status of your applications and petitions. Additionally, you can turn on or off email and mobile alerts."
On July 12th (15 days after approval) I got an email stating this "We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time. We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on June 28, 2018. " Site still stated that I was approved on the 28th even though hard copy states the 28th.
On July 18th (20 days after approval) email stating "We have taken an action on your case. Sign in to your account to view your case status " Checked website it said it was sent to NVC.

It's taking up to 8 weeks to get an NVC case number.
I know it can take up to 8 weeks AFTER they receive my petition. I'm trying to call them so I know when they get my petition so I can start calling on week 7.
I'm posting my updates for the time frame of approval to sent to DoS (NVC) to petition received so that others have an idea of how long it can take based off of my progress.
