Do you think the additional background checks are due to his profession? Because they didn't ask much questions. Seems as though they have everything else
He's had about 6 USA visas issued to him in the past (About 4 to his ukraine passport, now expired and we don't want to renew it yet, and 2 to his russian passport, yes we listed all passports), all sponsored by his work and the company that he was going to have his meetings at.
He's had about 4 b1/b2 visas, 1 b1 and 1 J1 visa, after all their interviews they went into Administrative Processing for a month, and it would be issued. His last visa was issued in May 2017 after a month of AP, this is super common with his coworkers that have to get B1 visas.

Hi, how did your husband's interview go?
Our questions were so... plain.... I went over nearly 60 questions with him before he left for the interview... and the funny part is these are the questions I have had asked him too. And he was laughing at the fact I was stressing about updated our chat logs, which they didn't ask for, but was supplied with the i-130 since I front loaded that thing with as much stuff as I could.

Currently talking to him now. He got there on time and wasn't interviewed till noon, and was the last one. An hour before he had his interview this status was updated with today's date still in AP, been in ap since Nov 26th.
The interview was in English, only spent about 5 minutes talking.
They only asked him 5 questions:
When we met
Where we met
When did he seen me last time
What the I (the petitioner) does for a living (he got it partly right, but I think he forget to say I was a data entry specialist since that's what my tax papers say and my employment letter says. He went vaguely into the details of my job duties.)
What he does for livingThey didn't ask to see our evidence of relationship, chat log, call logs etc. They also didn't take my original I-864 and the supporting documents. They probably saw the binder that was 4 inches thick and didn't want to deal with it. When I submitted our I-130 the package was about 3 inches thick. I was trying to prepare for a high fraud interview so there would be no questions.
Per Check list for Moscow it stated to bring the birth certificates of all his children, which they never asked for, got his daughters translated into English since it was written in Ukrainian. I think he said that since they are not currently moving here it wasn't really needed.
They took his birth certificate, passport, divorce certificates, he gave them his 1st divorce certificate that was issued his name, which is different compared to the one we submitted with the I-130 and NVC, we had the original copy that was issued to his ex wife. She gave us hers so we could send off the petition, and he thought he didn't need one in his name.... -.- They took our marriage certificate, and the officer that collected the documents questioned him if it was real since he was probably expecting it to be in Russian. Our marriage certificate has a raised seal, now I am wondering if I as to get an Apostille stamp on it.. which I shouldn't need it since I am dealing with the USA government and this was issued in the USA, it has the stamps and barcodes for when we got it and when I submitted to the courthouse to get the official copies with notarized saying it was real.
At the end, the interviewing officer told him that everything looks good, but they need to do some more background checks. He was given at the end of the interview a document listing his rights in the USA, and issued a 221g (I was already planning on this) asking for his resume (already submitted and got the confirm email), he works as an aerospace engineer, so STEM profession and with the conflict between Russia and the USA... sigh. I had mentioned long ago that he should have it ready to go in case. But he ignored it, so we are using his current resume he was going to use for job hunting over here. He had asked if they wanted the one he submitted for his B1 visa, then they questioned if had two very different types of resumes. They kept his passport since he can't find it in his documents he got back, this was the 1st thing I had asked him when I woke up, and told him it was a really good sign.

Ever since I started this process, I became a borderline alcoholic. 🍷🥃🍷🍸🍺 And I’m sure it’s been stressful for my hubby (the beneficiary) but it’s been more stressful for me for the fact that I had to prepare everything. I had to apply I130 and I129f (k3 which eventually got denied), i864, DS 260 (I helped him compete it), gathering evidence, etc. Its been a loooooooooong journey for sure. I don’t think my liver can handle anymore liquor... Please visa fairy, bless us all!!! 🧚🏻♀️ I pray we all get good news this week.
I did everything as well. All i asked help was for him to get his civil documents from other countries (i found a lawyer that could help us since the usa sees where he was born and his 1st divorce was at is Ukraine but russia took over it and they claimed that area...... And most documents are sealed with russia and not Ukraine, aka big mess.) and Russia, transulations and help with chat logs... I messed up our ds 260 where to send his grwen card too. So i wrote a letter to the officer and submitted my valid drivers license to show proof of my current address and asking them to fix my error.
Im a data entry specialist.... And i have to pay attention to detail... Ugh so embarrassed. Close to none of my work comes back with spelling or typo issues, but i sure spotted a lot with my coworkers. I'm currently being trained to take over quality control at work, since the lady that does it is retiring in a month.

Hmm... During my hubby’s interview they didn’t ask for any evidence of relationship. He was only asked for his original civil documents and physical exam result. He did have few (photos and letters we exchanged with each other) evidence Incase they ask for it. So he didn’t end up showing his evidence. Everything was okay aside from requesting for another sponsor. That’s why our case is on AP status.
I couldn’t sleep on the morning of his interview. Chile is 7 hours ahead of Hawaii time. I was up all night filling my liver with wine until I heard anything from him. I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous in my LIFE!!! I don’t wish this on anyone, really. I tell all my friends to find their lover in the states!!! LOL!!! 😂😂😂
My apartment mate wants my husband to find him russian girlfriend.. recently changed his mind seeing how long this wait is and how stressed out I have been these last few months. Moscow, Russia is currently 11 hours ahead of Seattle.... so one of us gets no sleep on the weekends. But I am working on chat logs since on tchecklistist we needed proof of relationship (Evidence of the relationship between the petitioner and visa applicant (such as photographs, letters, or emails)) Per mosow pdf on the gov's website. I am trying to throw the kitchen sick at this process where ever I can.

Yeah.... This process is not easy for anyone... Almost there though!!! Hang tight!! 🤗
I currently have the day before and the day of his interview off, since I know I will be looking at my phone non stop and trying to make sure my husband is prepared as much as he could be for his interview... we are still putting together chat logs, But everything gets printed for evidence of relationship a few days before the interview..... But he has all originals to the hotel reservations while the company he works for paid for the rooms, with me as 2nd guest, before and after wedding. bank account verification letters, credit card info with membership to Costco, receipts of spending on gifts using said cards, call logs from whatsapp and skype(use it for gaming with each other) I wish I could add more but luckily we are considered newly married and won't have much paper trail evidence

My hubby’s initial interview date was October 12th. Then after AP, they moved it to Novermber 16th. FIVE ADDITIONAL WEEKS! So I think it’s common these days.... Good news is that you guys have the interview date! Good luck!!! ☘️☘️☘️
He had to send a message (Traveldocs etc) to them to get a confirm on what date since we got the embassy email before the NVC interview letter.
But it took us a bit longer to get the case number attached this his account since his old b1 visa interview was still suck to the account. =\ He was panicking about that since he thought they deleted his CR1 interview time slot. The lady on the phone told him it was not allowed to have two case number tied to the account or something. -
Husband's interview is this week, I just checked his case number on the site, and it started "Administrative Processing", yesterday it said ready...... I guess they are looking at his files before he gets there? Is this normal? this process has been driving me crazy.
His original time was Nov 27th but they moved it to Nov 29th due to them being under staffed. -
Husband had his medical on Nov 8th, while there the clinic didn't have the flu shot but wrote a note stating that he didn't get it since they didn't have it. They claimed this should not effect our process since this has happened in the past but yet we just started the flu season. Sadly Russia only has one approved clinic. I told him that he might have to return to get the shot or something. I guess he had to return to the clinic today to get a shot for chicken pox. While there he was told he passed the medical exam.
Less than 3 weeks till interview.

Today I got notice that my husband's interview is scheduled for Nov 29th, it was set for Nov 27, and the Consular sent us an email about the rescheduling. Called NVC and they gave me a different date and time, but was told to go with what the Consular sent us. The customer service rep thought it was weird that they would send us an email about this before we got our interview details from NVC.
"Dear applicant,
Your interview is rescheduled for November 29, 2018 at 8:30.
Due to the Russian government-imposed staffing reduction at U.S. Embassy Moscow, there are currently limited Immigrant Visa or K (fiancé) Visa appointments available. We recommend that applicants make every effort to appear for their scheduled interview.

I feel like I'm missing something here. This morning woke up to my husband's intervoew date emailed to us saying it was rescheduled. But I thought our email would have more that, like a barcode amd a list of docs to bring to the interview. This is the only email we got from them, do we need to go to traveldocs to get the appointment(assuming so)?

Ok good to know you have gone to apply manually for the SSN. We will be going back to the SSA office next week Friday for the SSN. My GC has been produced and waiting to receive it in the mail anytime soon.
This might not be your case since marking on the Ds-260 has about a 50% ish for the ssc to get to you.
But... Have you made sure your name is on the mail box? After I got married and I went into the office to update my name. After not receiving my card, I was waiting over a month, I called the hotline they told me it was sent with in 7 days of my visit but then it was sent back to the apartment because my name wasn't on the mail box. This happened to my drivers license after I got divorce for the 1st time and hopefully only time. Sad part is I get mail from my old married name still and that name is not registered on the mail box.

I think for the listing of jobs is so they are able to help pin point the right Vladimir with a common last name, that might be born on the same day as you and live in the same city etc.
My husband was asking me the same thing and I told him what I am telling you now. He's done some side work but we didn't listed them, besides that work was more than 10 years ago. There is a small handful of people with the same 1st and last name as him.
He was also asking about addresses, so we placed what was in his internal passports (Ukrainian and Russian) from age 16 to current age. Sadly for the last 4 years he was couch surfing at friends of the family's extra rooms in their apartments, never was registered, and nevered listed them since how I understood the instructions was to list permanent residency and not temporary. But we listed his parents house since thats where he was registared still at till a month before I submitted our petition. And right now we are waiting for Moscow/NVC to schedule our interview. If we get denied this won't be the reason, but I won't go into details of why I think we could be deinied till it happens or not.

Hi,
I submitted our documents on August 31st and got an approval message on September 11th. The actual email did not come through until the morning of September 12th. It seems to be that it takes about 10 days for NVC to process your documents. For us there was one holiday in between August 31st and September 11 (Labor day).
We received our email with our appointment last week, September 26th. Our interview will be on November 1st, a little unfortunate that there are two holidays this month for our consulate. (Chinese National Holiday, 3 business days and Columbus day, 1 business day).
We hope to be together by Thanksgiving and I hope your interview gets scheduled soon!
Grats on the interview letter! I'm hoping my husband's interview will be around thanksgiving, hopefully before. We want to know our results, but he wont physcally move here till he has a job offer and a few other things are taken care of, assuming he gets approved. If we get denied, I'll be moving there within the year.

Hubby's boss is trying to get my husband a b1 visa again since it was reported that one of the employees has a b1 interview next week while the guy recently applied to get this visa.
I wish I knew more info than this, but husband doesn't know much.

Guess I will just write back and forth to myself, since in this blog and the Nebraska service Center blog, everyone was approved and here my husband and I sit and wait.....so miserable
According to https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
You are still within processing time with Nebraska. But if I were you I would be calling everyday. Did you get a RFE? And call recently? Btw I don't know when the time tables were updated last.

Hi guys my I-130 was approved on August 24 2018(hard copy) and August 27( new website). It’s already been 2 weeks on to 3 weeks and still haven’t got any mails or emails from NVC on wether they received my case from USCIS. I called NVC on September 10th( 2 weeks after case was approved) I was told that they have not received anything as yet and that it may take up to 6 weeks for them to receive the case from uscis. Is that normal? For those of you who cases was received by NVC how long after your approval did they received your case? I will give NVC a call back on Monday sept 17th.
Thanks for your responses in advance
That's what happened to me, but Texas took nearly a month to send mine and a few weeks for NVC to receive. Since my case is a pivot case it took about 3 weeks for case number. More info in my signature.

I submitted ours just briefly before you. I hope we hear from them sooner rather than later.
I hope so too! I'm really hoping for a CC before Moscow starts scheduling their interviews. We would have submitted ours a week prior but we were waiting on the police certificate 😕
Soon our spouses will be with us, and finally get to start our lives again.

I know I was afraid I would ask for sponsor since I make enough (Full time more than min wage) to sponsor 2 people and me, but I can't afford an apartment on my own in my area. I live north of Seattle and still can't afford a 1 bedroom apartment on my own, hence apartment mate.=\
But he was telling me that he felt like he screwed up since he didn't mention to the interviewing officer our evidence of our relationship. I told him if they didn't ask for it that means they don't need it.
He thinks they updated the address for where the green card would be sent too. Does anyone know how we can confirm this? I was thinking of emailing the embassy to confirm or something, but I told him to keep that letter for when he travels here. Can't recall if he told me that he gave them the letter, but I know he has it right now. I also told him that to keep the letter on top or keep as the 1st page in the binder as a reminder that they need to see it.
