I contacted the embassy and still no case either
-
I know, right? Even the further countries out there receive their case files in a day or two. I truly wonder what happens with the transfer from US coming here to BKK.
Did you notice that the embassy here has posted the schedule appointments for the month of August? Of course, our case number isn't there yet.
I really dont have high expectations for this k1 process in general. The way the government works is a joke. No one has any clue as to what they are doing and can give no answers to any questions. I might as well take the money and give it to a monkey. Atleast the monkey would run off and do something immediately.
I called nvc to see if there was a tracking number. No tracking number recorded on file.
I asked why it takes so long. They couldnt give me any information.
I mentioned ceac says nvc has assigned an interview date and asked what the date is. I was told nvc doesnt assign the date. So i asked why it states "national visa center has issued an appointment date?" They said it was an error.
I would really assume that a government processing very sensitive information would be smart enough to ship these documents to another country and have a tracking number with the carrier and atleast provide "correct" information?

Case is still listed as In Transit. I called NVC yesterday just to confirm that I had the ship date correct...and they confirmed July 25th. The nice lady at NVC said it usually takes a week so it should be there any day now. But we are still waiting!
Mine still sames the same. Its amazing how it takes so long to thailand but to manila they receive the case in 2 days

Same with me. Nvc send july 25 and thailand consulate still doesnt have it. My nvc status still aays in transit

Where are you guys seeing the date it is touched? My case from ceac site only shows a pop up window that says interview date set but doesnt show what the interview date is nor any date at all?

Ah #######.. That person decided to let us wait for 6 months to get approved.. I can only imagine how long that person will let us wait this time.
The agent did say if nvc doesnt have your case within 30 days to call uscis and a tier2 will find out what the hold up is with the agent that handled your case
-
My noa2 was on 6/23. I called the nvc and they do not have nor have records of receiving my case. I called uscis and was told that the case gets sent out from the agent that approves your case and the agents sends out the case at their discretion

5 months average to process

I understand i am awaiting a case number from the nvc to schedule the interview correct?
In order to get the police background and the hospital records needed to provide at the interview do i need to provide the nvc case number to the hospital and police?
Is there any online way to track the issuance of the nvc case number without having to wait for the noa2?

What are the next steps after noa2 approval? Is there anything that i can do to speed up the process without having the hard copy letter in my hand?
-
It does but it also says as of Feb 29th. Im guessing its not updated monthly and hoping they are much further along
They update the time frame every few months. Since january it used to say 5 months for k1. Now it doesnt so something was updated on their end and it now reflects november 2015. Read the thread first please. Someone clearly stated it said 5 months a few posts up.

If you look at the csc time instead of 5 months it now says processing cases from november 16, 2015

Hey guys,
We received our NOA1 text last Thursday and got the email as well with our receipt number. I've tried to track the case everyday since then and the website is still saying that it does not recognize my receipt number.....I can't imagine why. It's been like 4 days...
Is this normal?
Read your text and email. It clearly states it will take up to 2 weeks to reflect your cases status

I have a question that I can't really find a answer to. I've had people told me told me to wait and people said its okay to visit. Here is my situation, I received my NOA1 over 8 months and a half months ago and my Fiance is really eager for me to visit, I do miss her as well and I want to visit before the rainy season (she lives in South East Asia, plane tickets gets pricey and the weather sucks during the rainy season). Is it okay to go ahead and visit her while in the middle of the petition or should I wait?
Thanks for any answers in advance.

There is absolutely no reason you cannot go while you wait
Case File From NVC to US Consulate

If that was the case I doubt the embassy in bangkok would have told me they dont have my case and to contact the nvc
This wait is horrendous. Just seeing everyone else get interview days after 3-4 days amd we have to wait weeks and/or months isnt fair.
