  1. Thank you for the responses. So pretty much I need to do the AOS process all over again, because there's no way of getting to what I have already sent in, and then send it to my husband. Oh great lol I hated this part of it because I also have a co-sponsor which means twice the work.  Also how do I get the d-261 verification? I'm thinking this might have been sent to me when I did it. ? Anyway thank y'all again!

  2. Hello, I just got notified that my husband's interview in Colombo will be February 2nd. I am trying to figure out what all is absolutely mandatory to bring to the interview. I know all civil documents, supporting evidence, passport photos is what I've read. My confusion is when it comes to the 'forms I need to have original copies of' so does that mean I did wrong in the beginning of this and was supposed to send in copies of the I-130 form and also for the affidavit of support? Because I made a big mistake then by not making copies of those forms...?? Can someone please give me some advice or know how????? Thank you.

  3. Would anyone happen to know anything about the document cover sheet? I have a question to that Also. It says under number 4 'petitioner documents'. Do you know what they are asking for? I have not seen this mention on any of visa journey forums or examples, so do I just put not applicable? I was told that if packet should be all about the beneficiary not the petitioner so this has me thrown off.

  4. Hello, so I feel like my heart is broken right now. I thought we were so close to the finish line. My husband is from sri Lanka but has lived in Dubai more than six months in the past five years. We are waiting to send the aos/iv package. My husband received his police clearance from sri Lanka but we have just learned that it will take close to three months to get police clearance from UAE... This is a must have for the iv package right? Sri lankan police clearance won't be enough just to hold over until we receive the UAE one to bring to interview? I was hoping he would be here within next couple months but now it seems probably not until next ye?

  5. Thank you for the reply! I have a few more questions! Can I fill out my fathers I-864 for him and then sign under preparer? He is not the best writer. Do we both fill out I-864 not I-864a correct? Does my Husband need to send me his police clearance since I will be filling out the IV/AOS or just a copy of it since he will need to have original for the interview? Another question, Do we both have to go through interviews or just the beneficiary?

  6. Hello, I am currently at the part of the visa journey where my case has been approved, I have paid the first fee after and also have selected the agent. My questions are as following. I did my last three year taxes online. Will this make a difference or do I actually have to contact the IRS and get their transcripts? How do I show proof for employment? Current pay stubs? Or do I need a letter from my employer? My father will be the co-sponsor will he have to everything the same? Those are my first few questions. Thank you

  7. Okay so I got my I-130 accepted now I'm just waiting on case number. What should I do in the mean time? Also when affidavit of support to be done? I live with my father and I make around 20,000 a year. According to the uscis site that is enough to support 2 in a household. With me bring my husband here that will be technically 3 in a household but I will only be supporting myself and my husband...and I do not make enough to support 3 people if going by household number. Will my father have to Co-sponsor us? How does that work?

  8. Okay, I've been delaying this because I'm scared I dont have all the needed material. So just a couple more questions for you all. Do I need to print every page in my spouses passport or mine? Also, do I need to have a copy of the front and back of my birth certificate if the back is blank? And last but not least, I printed off copies of our plane tickets together, tickets of activities we have done together, picture of us and also the day we got married, and receipts for our wedding rings. Are these things along with affidavits enough evidence?

  9. Hello all, I'm sending in the I-130 form today along with 2 g-325 forms. I am including all need documentation for these forms. Are there any other forms that I should be sending in to make the process easier or faster? I was going to send in the I-129 but I have read on these forums that it is a waste of money and don't make my husband get to me any faster. Any advice? Thank you
