Yeah.. I am a worker here in Canada not Canadian. Some advise told me that it doesn't matter where I came from as long as I am legally working here in Canada. Basically I have my work permit and I did not see any problem at all. How's long did u process until  u get your wife visa.:) Hope u don't mind.
