Hi Everyone, just an update on my progress == I filed and case was accepted on Jan 19 2019 .  Never received my NOA notice - requested twice.  Scheduled an info pass using employment letter and letter from school showing hardship.  Received I-551 stamp  for 1 year extension in my passport and gave up expired physical green card. 

Today - 8/19/19 - went to my biometrics apt, received about 5 days notice via regular mail 

Hi Everyone!  I haven't posted on VJ for about two years. This site is so immensely helped, Filed for 751 on 01/17/18 .  I haven't received the confirmation email yet. Still waiting!

Since I've moved to North Carolina my husband and I have noticed we get asked if we want separate checks about half the time that we eat out. I have no idea if it's a cultural dining thing or an underlying prejudice .  For the restaurants we frequent I don't see it happening to other couples and my husband has never been asked that in the past.  

I don't know how to deal with it but it's beginning to bug me.  My plan is either : 

A - Give them a slight stink eye or look of incredulous confusion 

B - Say: my husband and I/my wife and I always share the bill (or something to that effect) 

C- Sit in his lap and lick his face..... lol 

Oh and yes, we are of different ethnicities.  And yes we always wear our wedding rings.

Hi Everyone! My I485 just changed to "new card being produced" so YAYY!  

They sent an RFE about two weeks ago asking for an official copy of my marriage cert. 

Good luck to everyone still on your journey and congrats to those who have passed over the initial hurdle .  If you're still waiting on your EAD/AP don't forget 

you can submit a service request !

I'll be sending an official certified copy later today along with a copy of the letter courier style.  

On the plus side it looks like my case may be on the edge of approval and that they're not bothering to call us for an interview. So yea! 

And yes, I did submit an original copy of your marriage certificate with the original petition lol .  I also got and RFE for my EAD/AP for the same issue, oh well.

No address change, I am subscribed to both the email and text message notifications via the account I made directly on USCIS. No RFE or anything on the account that shows one. I get a text as soon as they post anything at all up there. 

It is strange that you are recieving a NOID after getting your EAD. It looks like there is a missing RFE somewhere. You do show on your timeline that you received an RFE for your AP. What was the RFE for? Did you ever respond to it and are you 100% sure they received it?

 

Well I'm still hoping its not a NOID Lol.  The RFE I received for the EAD and AP (some glitch on the VJ website doesn't show the RFE date for both and EAD & AP but they came together at the same time) they  wanted a copy of my original marriage certificate along with an affidavit stating what my maiden and new legal (married name) is etc. I got my combo card soon after.  I did however submit an original marriage certificate with my I-485 . 

As of right now though, you'll just have to wait for the NOID in the mail and then go from there. I wish you the best of luck.

Nope, nothing since they took my fingerprints last December. 

Thanks for the input guys, I also think its an NOID, if so I'll definitely be contacting a lawyer.  No time for mistakes. 

If it is an NOID do you think that they didn't bother with an interview at all?

Can someone please tell me what vague manner of sorcery is this? 

Why can't they just say what they're sending.... I've been reading on the internet and experiences vary widely.  Is it a denial? or approval or NOID , or RFE? Interview??

This is the first I am seeing any updates since the biometrics appointment in early December 2016. 

If anyone can give me some solid feedback I would appreciate it very much!  I'm trying not to worry but my nerves are wracked. sigh...

Hi, it's a no for me, any update for you? 

Sigh ... so finally after 126 days and 1 RFE they approved and mailed out my combo card yesterday !

Also, if there is anyone still having the driver's license issue mine is being sent to me as of yesterday as well!

It's been 8 days since NBC acknowledged receipt of their request for evidence for my AP/EAD.  When can I reasonably expect a response? Do I have to wait another 90 days before I can submit a case inquiry?

Definitely, should of done that.  Already sent RFE response, so we will see!

Day 105 ....I feel like I'm at a desert .  Anyway, sent response to RFE, they will get it today.
