I know it's frustrating. I have had very bad episodes on my journey, one big one was when they scheduled my appointment for n-400 interview and they canceled the interview in my face when I was waiting outside to be interviewed, at the USCIS buildimg, that was a kick on both nuts. Hang in there, everytihing is gonna be allright. For what I Understood both N-400 and I-751 interviews were succesfull? All what you are waiting for is approval and oath ceremony dates??

Well, after almost 2 years, the case was finally approved after a joint interview, but not before the Oath Ceremony Was Scheduled status update for the N400 appeared. May 10th is the big day for my wife, and after that, her visa journey will be over. It's been a wild, frustrating ride, but I'm happy to have had this community. Good luck everyone and I wish everyone well in their future!

Meh, some officers are so picky while others use their common sense and don't overdo things "just because". Too bad you got a picky one, she even saw you being there with your wife! But at least it should be an easy fix and your wife will be approved very soon.

Agreed, it is very unfortunate. It's also insulting to see people from the first half of 2020 getting their i751s approved while people such as the OP have waited so long. No offense, but I'm really not liking the fact that the community has this "all we can do is wait" attitude. At this point in time, it is completely true, but I'd like to see, in the future, more pressure to make an immigration system that is equitable and timely. I'm aware of the differences in locations which is to my point: they don't staff accordingly. If NYC and surrounding area isn't at the same ratio relative to population as other centers, especially given the fact that more immigrants live in NYC (and other large cities), then something is quite wrong. This should have been remedied years ago. There is no reason why people should pay the same fees and receive vastly different services because they cannot manage their logistics. As a citizen, I'm embarrassed and disgusted and sorry that people have to put up with negligence. Immigrants and their families deserve better.

Had my interview today at the Los Angeles County Field office in DTLA. Got 10 questions even though I answered the first 6 correctly. 😄
 
Oath ceremony will be on Tuesday next week, March 16. Got the Oath Notice in hand before I left the field office right after the interview. I will also have a name change. 
 
These were the 10 questions I got:
 
-What are the two parts of the U.S. Congress?
-There are four amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them.
-Who lived in America before the Europeans arrived?
-What is one thing Benjamin Franklin is famous for?
-What did the Emancipation Proclamation do?
-What did Susan B. Anthony do?
-Name one state that borders Canada.
-What is the capital of the United States?
-Where is the Statue of Liberty?
-Name two national U.S. holidays.
 
Reading: Who elects congress?
Writing: The people elect congress.
 
She didn't ask for any definitions, just went through the N-400 form quickly to see if anything had changed since I filed, and then I had to sign/approve the corrections.
 
Will post a more indept review in the L.A. thread in a few days for anyone who might be interested.

Fingers crossed I'll also have about a month to prepare. Not looking forward to figuring out and getting together all the evidence to take for the RoC portion, but it's a small complaint at this point (Can't wait to be done with printing stacks of documents).
 

Interview was scheduled yesterday for April 9th.

You will be required to do all the leg work of gathering documents and providing all the information regardless. An attorney or service will simply fill in some forms with information you provide, then send the forms to USCIS. Actually, there is no real "legal work" required.  

Same day for me, but most seem to get their notice the day after, and others two days later. 

Finalized completion of our 4 year, 3 mouth immigration journey yesterday with combination I-751 & N-400 interviews. Received USCIS Form N-652 indicating "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval..."  Now in the queue for notification of Citizenship Oath ceremony scheduled date.  Nearing the crossing of our immigration journey's finish line.  HALLELUJAH!!!

As far as I know she wasn't asked for such evidence. It is ridiculous they do not consider expiring proof of status as an emergency. They aren't stupid, they know it can lead to financial ruin for families yet they still stonewall people.

Update: we contacted a U.S. Senator and they got an appointment for us. They told us at 1145 and that the appointment was at 1330 at a place that was 1 hour 15 minutes away. We, uh, somehow made it and she got the i-551 stamp. That saves us A LOT of headache as far as her job and our house are concerned.

This is good news, I’m so happy for you guys , I know it means a lot . Now to the next level , I hope they schedule the interview soon .
The waiting is killing and incapacitating.
