  1. I am currently completing form I-131 and have a question regarding part 7 which asks for a separate piece of paper explaining why you qualify. I have read old posts on here (a few years old) and it looks like if filing with AOS you do not need to include this piece of paper. I am hoping someone can confim this for me.

I do not have any trips planned currently but my family is only 2 1/2 hours away and I would like to go visit and have the AP if something ever came up.

    Thank you in advance

  2. Hello, I am currently completing my i-485 and I have a few questions I hope someone can help with.

    1. Family Name - now that I am married and have taken my husbands name do I use my married last name or my maiden name?
    2. A-Number - I entered on a K1 visa, do I have an A number and if so where would it be?
    3. Current USCIS status - is this K1 or something else?
    4. In What Status did you last enter - is this K1 or fiancée?
    5. Nonimmigrant Visa Number - there is a red number starting with K on the visa in my passport, is this the correct number?
    6. Memberships & Affiliations - what are they looking for here? I don't think I have any but don't want to miss something
    7. Vaccination supplement - was this part of my medical I had done for my K1?

I know this is a lot of questions but I don't want any issues. I appreciate anyone who can help!

  3. I am hoping someone can help me as I have seen conflicting information about when I should apply for my SSN. Yesterday was my POE and now I am unsure if I should be applying now or if I wait and do it at the same time as my AOS. Also, is it correct I to do my request for advanced parole at the same time as I submit my AOS?

    Thank you!

  4. Hi Bamboo33, I am also planning my POE and wondered where you found information on how to bring your stuff with you. I plan on bringing mine across in a trailer and have started a list of all of my belongings but wasn't sure if there was something official I should be filling out and how detailed my list needs to be. Any help is appreciated!

  5. I have my interview Wednesday in Montreal and I want to make sure I have everything that I need. Can someone tell me what I need to take to show evidence of petitioner's domicile in the US? I have copies of his taxes, W-2, passport, drivers licnese, health insurance bill, vehicle registration and phone bill.

This is for a K1 visa and my fiancé lives in the US - so I am also not even sure if this applies to us.

    Thank you in advance

  6. I am hoping someone can help me.I have my interview next Wednesday in Montreal at 7:40 and I was wondering how long they usually take. I have heard they are not long but want to know I would be okay to book at train home at 11:50am.

    Thank you,
