HI. AS PER OTHER SITES... MSC HAS THIS GLITCH ON THEIR TRACKING. I got the same problem but don't worry you'll just get the stuff from your mail. I only got the notification from NOA 1 then after a month and a half I got the notice for my biometrics... Ice been also waiting for my next notification which is either my combo card or appointment for interview. I'm always eager to check the mail. It's so hard with these MSC Thingy

AOS and EAD received date: May 16, 2016

AOS and EAD notice date: May 19, 2016

I already received my NOA1 on both AOS and EAD, but the receipt number is not recognize by the USCIS case tracking site. I haven't got anything in the mail for the biometrics yet. Is this normal? Is anyone experiencing this as well?

Our AOS was filed exactly 47 days ago, and today the USCIS website tells me:

As of June 6, 2016, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxx, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice.

Is this timeline typical, or is it far faster than usual? My wife had her biometrics appointment exactly 2 weeks ago, and hasn't received her EAD yet. I was under the impression that the AOS interview comes waaay after the biometrics and EAD approval.

Please shed some light on this, as I do not want to have false hopes. Thanks!

Hi. I think you are lucky that your Green card will be directly processed. You won't need the combo card (EAD and Travel permit) if you have the green card. and looks like you don't have to attend an interview so you're likely ahead. Congrats.

Why would you wait for your K-1 to expire when the number one rule is you should get married before your Visa has expired. You will for sure have a problem. You might need to get married in court as early as you can then get married again with all your relatives. I strongly suggest for you to follow.

do not waste all the effort and money you have invested for this journey.

Can anyone help me with this, we already got our marriage certificate without but no ceremony, and i have applied for SSN, but we intend to have our wedding ceremony August 11th, where family members and friends can be present. But my K-1 expires August 10th. Does anyone know if this will be a problem for those am inviting during their interview for the wedding here in the US.?
Though we're starting the AOS in first week of july, please any useful info will be appreciated

I don't know if they will allow it. But usually... AMERICAN PASSPORT HOLDERS HAVE DIFFERENT GATES ON THE WAY OUT.

I just went to the Social Security, we got married last week and luckily they were successful going straight to my married name. Just a bit bad news... The customs immigration who did the entry for my name just took my first name I have 2 names but now i can only use one name and my married name. :|

Arrived OH USA last Feb 20... working on to finish the house and prepare the wedding.

I'm leaving PHILIPPINES on Feb 20th... Passport on its way... The courier called me early morning. Ticket booked. I'm gonna bring my passport tomorrow at the CFO for the sticker. I took the seminar earlier so I don't have to worry afterwards.

Hi guys here's what happened today.

I went to the embassy with my parents so someone can carry my phone while im in the embassy. My appointment was at 7:30am, I got there around 6:30am and they are starting to line up. Immigrants and K-1 has their own lines so be sure to ask the guard where is that line. There will be a lot of people there so make sure you ask right way so you could get in line early.

As you enter you will be asked to take our first page of DS-160, Appointment Confirmation and your passport. Do not fold it because that will be the same paper you'll bring up to the last step. Then you'll enter the embassy premises and get lined again to get a queue number. As the lady hand you your DS-160 with number she will tell you to go to DOOR NUMBER 2, there lots of personnel that will be assisting you and tell you the next step.

It'll be the fingerprint scanning time and you'll be asked to take out the Original Birth certificate, CENOMAR, passport and the paper with your case number.

Next step would be the pre scanning... this the Filipino consul will be asking you some questions. they also attached list of docs youllneed to prepare so while waiting, just gather them so youll be ready by the time they ask for it. after the local consul would be your OATH, youll just have to answer "YES". then youre ready for the step 4, which is the interview with a US COnsul.

I heard a lot of people saying that the KOREAN look a like consul denies a lot of applicants... and yes just the moment i wan in line for my oath.. i saw she handed the blue paper which is denied. I was nervous when i saw it and prayed that she wont be my interviewer. But OMG it was her.. well when i faced her. she asked me to go to the next available consul. I dont know if she mistaken me as a Korean but im lucky to be talking to this guy.

He asked me questions like: my name, birthday, where does my fiance live, his work, if he got married, how many times, age of the children...

he joked around about the place i lived... he said he just watched the movie HENERAL LUNA. . he told me it was a great movie. and finally...said

SO... LOOKING I AM APPROVING YOU!! CONGRATULATIONS. I told him before leaving that by the way i like your beard... he said thanks and he likes it too.

Lined up for the last step which is the instructions on where to input the delivery address.. then im good.

Phew.. i was done around 10am.

You need the photo before completing DS 160... Breath in and breath out take the steps slowly, you are close to the interview but take note of the following. Have you completed all the necessary docs needed in the interview? How about the medical?

appointment confirmation DS-160 different from submitted DS160

i currently have an existing account in cgifederal site. i tried creating a new account because the previous was for my visitors B1 visa. but because of same passport number... you are not allowed to create a new one. PROBLEM: THERE WAS NO OPTION TO CHANGE THE DS-160 NUMBER. AND I SCHEDULED AND CONFIRMED THE INTERVIEW. NOW I WILL BE ATTANDING MY MEDICAL TOMORROW!!! CAN I STILL PROCEED WITH A WRONG CONFIRMATION (I ALREADY CANCELLED THE INTERVIEW AND SUBMITTED A REPORT ON THE FEEDBACK PAGE)

QUESTION: DO THEY REALLY NEED THE APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION IN THE MEDICAL?

DO THEY USE THE INFOS WRITTEN THERE? OR THEY JUST WANNA KNOW IF YOURE REALLY APPROVED WITH YOUR CASE

I'm also in the same situation, we wanted to pick an early Feb. date for the interview & do the medical before the end of January (next week, actually). I read from the October filers forum (someone please correct me if I didn't read that right) , there were a few who mentioned that the screenshot on CEAC saying Ready will suffice, or that the letter from NVC will do. By any chance, has your fiance gotten the letter from NVC in the mail?

Thats also one thing we havent received the email. but anyway im proceeding with my medial and scheduled interview as well...Was planning the same as yours but because i have to consider my cycle for the medical i might wait weeks to be able to do medical again. So i should be done with everything by the end of the month.
