Got our application  approved on June 15th & received 10 yr green card yesterday. The spelling error is in the 10yr GC too. How to get it corrected ? It’s just one letter mistake

In my experience, though, the chat function is worthless. If I recall correctly, I contacted USCIS two times through the chat and was patched through to a Tier 1 agent—neither of whom did anything about the typo on my extension letter. I wasted valuable time I could have used to send a letter to MSC/NBC as shown in this thread or get an InfoPass appointment.

I would do the InfoPass if it isn't a big deal (ie you need to drive 6 hours to get to the office). There's no guarantee they'll reply to the letter. Worst case scenario you'll have two forms of proof of status. 
 
One person reported the InfoPass officer stamping the passport and asking for an updated NOA to be sent out. So if your letter doesn't do anything you can also request a new NOA at the InfoPass appointment.
 
In my experience, with USCIS, you need to have to bombard them. Call, fill out online requests, write letters, use the chatbot etc.  Keep pushing until you get what you need, even if it means sending an extraneous letter or making an extra call. 
 

Hello! Just send the letter explaining your situation to them. Make sure you include your hubby’s correct name and his alien reg number, not forgetting his case number. Send it to your service center. You’ll get a response quicker this way.  Do not wait for them to call you. You can check my letter on this thread to have an idea of how I did it

Update: Finally, the typographical error has been corrected. I can now sleep with both eyes closed. 😂

I think he needs an I-551 stamp on his passport.  
 
I’d worry less about CBP admitting him and more about the airline boarding him.  And if he is using his I-551 as a way to visit certain countries that waive visas for US LPRs, I’d be even more concerned.

@Allaboutwaiting  thank you so much for giving that possible alternative. Will call USCIS again tomorrow & confirm that we can walk in with this letter if we don’t get the new one by then. 

If your GC is expired and you do not have an extension you must not travel. 
You could try attending at your local ASC.

The rumors floating around on the older ROC threads is that K-1s who had AOS interviews and get a regional service center receipt # (LIN, WAC, etc) will likely have their interview (and biometrics) waived, unless there was some issue in the first interview that they want to revisit.  So those applications will be processed at the service center, and never even dispatched to the local field office.
 
Those adjusting from spousal visas or anyone else who did not have an AOS interview is very likely to be processed through MSC, and end up with an interview at their local field office.

Seems so.  And those who come over on spousal visas (and therefore do not interview for AOS), will get an interview for ROC.

Our packet was delivered on 12/2. We got the Text on 12/6 and check cashed on 12/7. NOA received in the mail on 12/13. 

2 days!

They change it to an electronic check and it was only a couple of days.
