  1. Congratulations!!

You should look into getting a US passport for your son by way of the CRBA process. He will not need to get a K2 visa if he gets a US passport.

Check into the CRBA forum: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/154-consular-reports-of-birth-abroad-crba/

You should also likely check in at the UK regional forum for any CRBA pointers at the London embassy: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/

Good luck on your immigration journey.

I've actually petitioned my British fiance to join me and our son in America. I didn't think I'd need a K2 as my son was born here in the states and we had started the process before I got pregnant. We're trying to get his Dad here from the UK. Sorry, I should have explained that I was back in America.

  2. I filed our I-129F 2 days before I left to visit my fiance In England in October 2014 for a 3 month holiday. In November, while on holiday, I found out I was pregnant with our baby. We FINALLY got our approval (NOA2) exactly one month after our son's birth in August 2015 and my fiance received his letter from the US embassy in London one month after that. Does anyone know if I need to send him anything regarding our son's birth to take to his interview?

  3. London accepts 100% with the I-134 for a K-1 visa. You will need to meet the 125% later for AOS and the I-864.

London also only needs one sponsor. If using a co-sponsor, you only need to supply the co-sponsor's I-134 and proof of income. If you meet the requirement, then you will just need yours. You do not need bank statements. London doesn't require that you prove the income in several different ways, just one or two will do(taxes and letter from employer).

~ Moved from K-1 Process to UK regional - topic is specific to London ~

    Thank you!!!

  4. I fall just below it with my income and I have been on leave for a few months as I have just had a baby and therefore not making any income at this time. I am also using my dad as a joint sponsor. What will I need for my part in the supporting evidence if I fall below the poverty line? My dad is above it so we're good there.

  5. Right. So my fiance got a letter from the US Embassy in London on September 14 stating that our approved petition has been received, so I am now getting my Form I-134 together to send to him for his interview. My question is: Do they need bank statements and check stubs or will the statement from my employer be sufficient enough?
