If you checked the SSN on DS230, you don't need to apply for it. They will mail it to you with in 4 weeks. About POE, upon arrival, she need to get in line on New Immigrant on the immigration. They will ask her the brown envelope, some questions. They will take her photo and finger print.

You can call US embassy in motreal to reschedule ur interview. Tell them your st#pid lawyer did not inform you earlier.

Thanks everyone. Update: After receiving her Visa, She went straight to CFO seminar right away. Tomorrow, we will look for ticketing agency to book her flight to USA.

I am confused about what to take. I filed affidavit of support late dec with 2005 tax return, 2005 w2, employment proof.

My spouse has copies of all that and copy of affidavit of support.

Now, I also have recieved 2006 w2. Do I again need to get all documents like employment proof etc (but aos is filed with different set of proofs)

Since your wife already had a copy of affidavit of support including past income taxes. Just gave her a copy of income tax 2006. u dont need another proof of employment. That's what i did and everything went fine. Goodluck on ur wife's interview

me and my wife from the philippines are all ready to file we just have to wait a month or more for her police clearance from austria which she lived for a year. She asked me what if we just file now without the Austrian police clearnce. I know I will most likely get an RFE for the document. Will it speeup the process if we file now and just mail it in when we get it? Will it delay it even longer? Do they still process the ds-230 and approve once they get the docuument or do they wait to start until they have all the supporting documentation? Just getting a little imaptient as its one document holding us back....

In my opinion, just wait for the police clearance. Coz after you submit the ds230, u need to wait 2 weeks to a month for their to review ur papers. Then they will send you RFE. What if your police clearance arrive after you sent the DS230. It will coz you more delay. Just wait for the police clearance.

The consul will tell you if you pass or not. They will give you a pink slip. Pink means you passed it.

I'm not sure how many days will visa arrive from delbros coz as of now, my wife is still waiting for her visa, it's been a week now.

Make sure all supporting papers, forms and proof that they need are completed before you go to interview. Double checked it. My wife passed the interview. For the pre-interview, the lady asked her, Who petitioned me and when i first left the phillipines? Then the interviewer asked her about my family and where they are right now. The he checked all the supporting papers. and that's it. she passed. Goodluck to all April Batch.

NVC will send you both an Agent Of Choice packet. Then you two will decide where they will send your packet. For faster mail and security reason (so it wont get lost in the mail). The Petitioner will be the best choice.

Just write NONE there. For K3 visa. you need to file I-130 and G-325A first. After you got an approval. then that's the time you will file for K3 (I-129F). If you have any question. Feel free to post a topic here.
