First off, I am not supporting the Confederacy at all, in fact I am trying to give you a history lesson which you probably have never heard before. I have to ask you if you have heard that there were slave owners of all races? Did you know there were slave owners that were Black, Hispanic, Native American, and even White. 
 
Also many of us here in the South are not "supporting traitors" at all, we are supporting our family members that fought in the war. The vast majority of people (at least here in NC) that fought for the Confederacy had no slaves at all and were subsistence farmers eking out a living and getting news from the local probably weekly paper or from faraway Raleigh. Many of these soldiers never really traveled outside of their respective counties. Which solidarity was based more on states than the actual country. They were sold a bad bill of goods from the more affluent politicians about "Northern Aggression". So many people initially volunteered in the beginning of the war but once they saw it for what it was many people skipped out and deserted. During the middle and end of the war the South was resorting to having to use conscripts to fight in the Army. Also you simply couldn't just say "No, I ain't signing up" when you have the Home Guard going around and dragging people out of their homes to fight at the end. 

Also since you live in Oregon and not here in the South then you don't know much about what is going on. The vast majority of the talking points about the statues is that they should either be in cemeteries or museums not in a courtyard. Which is all well and good but that doesn't stop people from going to those cemeteries and vandalizing those statues either. For example in my city there is a statue commemorating the 300 dead soldiers in a cemetery that died at the end of the war, who were more than likely forced to fight. That statue was vandalized even though it is on private not public property. 

Policies don't improve race relations. Trump's economic success and highest black employment / lowest unemployment in generations is a key metric in affording opportunity in the way its supposed to be. Paying lip service to free things and rousing blacks to join down whites in burning down their neighborhoods unequivocally makes things worse. Defunding the police makes things much worse for blacks given who it overwhelmingly affects. I can go on and on, but it's clear Trump's policies are far better, and the Democrats along with the media and leftists have done their best to incite race issues, specifically by trying to make everything that happens to blacks into a race issue.

If my wife could she would vote for Trump in a heartbeat. She and the many Filipinos we know love Trump. Honestly I think she likes him more than I do. 

You seem to think kicking the hornets nest is going to affect others, when it's clear this is projection and it's you who's scared. Learn to lose with dignity and you won't need to lash out like this.

i have never said I would vote for Trump. There is a long ballot of options. Quite how you can hold your view and vote for Biden puzzles me.
