interviews are always at field office. oath ceremony is dependent on the local oath ceremony locations. if you dont have a location in your local area typically a judge who presides the oath  than you could be assigned at the field office. o

I have missed my Mom's dying and then her funeral and burial. Have not seen my daughter in almost 2 years now. I would like to go "home" to Canada for a visit. However, I am from Ontario and now there is going to be a "vaccine passport" required by folks in order to go to restaurants, bars etc. I cannot find anything about people who are visiting Ontario. Anyone else know about this?

I posted this elsewhere and my post seemed to be misunderstood. Perhaps because I posted it in the wrong topic. So, hopefully, what I am asking will be clearer now.

However, I am from Ontario and now there is going to be a "vaccine passport" required by folks in order to go to restaurants, bars etc. (I am not interested in "barhopping or clubbing" as some presume. But I will be staying at hotels and have to make use of restaurants. Patios are exempt I KNOW, but will NOT be a viable option when the weather turns colder. That is ALL I want to know. If you are from ONTARIO and go up there in the next while when this becomes "law" could you let me know your experience regarding this. The papers all state that you will need your vaccine receipt and GOV issued ID as well. Many of us no longer have any current ID except for our passports. Thanks in advance!

I am concerned about how the vaccine "passport" is supposed to work with people going there from the USA. I know about arriveCan and all else. Two folks I know from Canada, living in the USA like myself now, went via plane to BC. Both had to have COVID test at the airport. I will be travelling by land, should I ever decide to go up there again lol)

I brought up food because someone else did. Nothing to do with me. Also, I have the vaccine. Actually both.Got them back in May. Thanks.

Well, therein lies my initial post. I just want to know how the vaccine passport works. But I also don't feel that I should have to report where I am going, who I am seeing etc etc as stated in the arriveCan app. I guess I can wait longer to see my daughter. She likes to come here for our visits. We have waited this long. I know when the time comes that she won't have to give documentation about her activities here.

I’m so sorry to hear that. My husbands about 6 hr drive from me as well but now have to spend 100s for a flight. We can fly into the USA but not drive makes no sense to me as driving you have less risks of getting covid. I was praying the land boarders would b open by now . This was the 1 time I saw my husband in a year.

I know what I have to do to go there. I had already researched it a while back. I have a few friends who went back to B.C. However, Ontario now has that vaccine passport. That is what I was stating in my post.  I cannot even go to a restaurant because I don't have it. He also, for some reason, wants people to have the "passport" AND Ontario Government issued ID. So, I won't be going back any time soon. It is getting to be a bit too much up there. I value the freedom I have here.

What is confusing? I am talking about 2 separate people and I based my first questions about person 1 on knowing what happened with person 2. She has a green card. She was married to an American and got her green card that way. He was a teacher. Complained about going back to school when it started up again. He said he was vulnerable because he is obese. The school didn't like his excuses. He also was inappropriate with students. Thus, he was given the ultimatum. I just wondered if he would have the same issues upon re-entry that she did. That is all the information needed.

    Good Morning all.

    Lincoln filer from October 2019.

    Filed Removal of Conditions 10/28/2019
    NOA/Extension 11/01/2019
    Fingerprints 02/07/2020
    Approval online this morning 10/05/2020

It said it was approved October 2nd on the website, I guess maybe there's some delay built into the website since it didn't say approved until today. I track all the cases around mine, so I was getting a bit anxious that everyone near me was getting RFEs or approvals (one guy transferred to another Jurisdiction too) in the last couple of weeks but nothing for me! Good news came this morning when I refreshed at 2am!

Hello everyone! Im happy to let you know that today I checked the app and it says new card is being  produced!! I sent my papers for citizenship the 29th and the lawyer said they should’ve received it on the 30th, no noa yet on that but I assume they did look at it because now they lifted my conditions. I wish everybody the best in this process and in life. Hope all your dreams come true, I know we all share this american dream and I truly wish you all the same or more happiness im feeling right now. Best

Just got out of our I-751 interview - way easier than I thought it would be!

Security seemed a bit more intense than usual (I needed to take off some of my jewelry to go through the metal detector and they used to just tell me to leave it on), but the place was mostly empty so there was no line. I got my flu shot at work yesterday, so I was kind of paranoid I might be running a slight fever, but they didn't even check temperatures and just asked some general questions instead.

We were sent to the waiting room - where a bunch of seats were blocked off for social distancing - and were there with a few other people. Our interview was scheduled for 9, but we only got called in around 9:30. Our interviewer was really pleasant and soft-spoken, and his office was filled with stuff from the local professional sports teams so my husband was immediately comfortable haha. He swore us in and then asked for our IDs and 2019 tax return. I also mentioned that I'd brought our lease renewal, bank statements from the time of the original filing of the I-751 to now (he only took the 2020 ones), a few more pictures, and our most recent insurance documents showing we're both covered under the same plans, so he took all of that too. He said that we have a lot of evidence on file and that I'm very organized, and showed me all of the paperwork we've submitted through this process so far. It was A LOT, but I also told him that I know there are people who submit a lot more and he laughed.

We were having a really general conversation while he photocopied and compiled everything - mostly with him saying I should apply for citizenship before the cost goes up - when he suddenly said "alright, we're just about done here. Just need to go through the form and we can get you guys on your way!" He went to the I-751 application, verified all of our information in it, and asked my husband the only question he asked either of us about each other: "when's your anniversary?" He jokingly said he always asks the guy because the girl will know, and my husband said "I mean, it's coming up in a couple of weeks so I SHOULD know!" and the interviewer laughed.

After we were done, the interviewer talked a lot about how to file the naturalization paperwork before the deadline because it'll save money. He also said that, because the case file already has so much evidence, I could just submit the most recent documents from 2020 and be fine, and that the interview would only be in "4-6 months" so I'd still have time to study.

All of my case trackers had updated to "new card ordered" by the time we got home, so now we just have to decide we want to spend another $600 and get paperwork together to keep going immediately. Good luck to everyone still in the I-751 process!

I Filed I-751 in June 2019. Got an RFE in May 2020. USCIS received RFE response 9/4/2020. New Card is Being Produced on 9/10/2020. And on 9/15/2020 I got an email saying my case was approved and the green card is in the mail. The RFE process was a lot quicker than I anticipated! Just thought I'd share my I-751 timeline.

I hope you all get good news soon!

UPDATE: I went to "my case status" and found the tracking #. USPS says it is out for delivery today!
So for those wondering about timelines: I filed for my ROC July 2019. Got notice at end of July that I was approved. (no interview-I think if you have one after AOS, then you don't normally have a second one) Got word that my card was being mailed on August 17th. Today USPS says it is out for delivery.

Thanks! I did not realize how much stress this was causing me, until I opened that envelope and it felt like a 500 pound weight was lifted from my shoulders. I am SO happy, after all the ####### with a "lost file" etc. Onward to citizenship now! Thanks for the congrats, and thanks for the positive comments on my posts. Congrats to those who have reached the end of the process,  I hope that everyone has the same outcome!
