  1. Ah good, I was hoping it would be as simple as that :) I understand that signing of the registry really can't be done again but the rest is largely ceremonial. The only problem we may have with that is we don't really want to tell my fiance's parents, as I think they would be dissapointed not getting to be at our official "legal" marriage and want the big second wedding to be their first. I hope we can create the day as so.

  2. Hi all,

I've tried searching for some info on this subject but can't seem to come up with anything. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with having a small ceremony first and then having the big wedding later and have had it in a church.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm curious whether or not this is possible. Does the church allow you to have the full religious ceremony even if you are already married? Or is it a completely different ceremony or process. We would love it to be exactly the same as if we were getting married the first time.

    Any info is appreciated

    Thanks! :)

  3. Oh I didn't know you couldn't save a filled document, I thought that was just a case by case thing rather than a program feature, sorry about that :)

I don't see why it would make a difference if it was partially filled out with pen, or some forms were typed and some were pen, as long as it was neat and legible then I would think it would be fine. Perhaps someone else who has actually done it that way can clarify however.

    Good luck with everything

  4. I assumed that a notarized document wouldn't expire as such as at the time it would have been viewed as a legal document and will remain so. Either way, I don't think you'd have a problem with that date.

Actually I just read information from a Secretary of State website that says the notarization is effective and valid and binding as long as the document it appears on remains effective and valid, (often for decades in some cases).

    You should be fine :)
