kdc0224 got a reaction from NikLR in Question about "Issued" on CEAC website
There are 2 kinds of administrative processing:
    1) The one that can take months to years is a background check against your name or career and is prolonged if anything suspicious shows up.
    2) The one that takes a few hours or a few days which is the necessary printing and processing of your visa.
I think yours is the latter because your status says "Issued". If it were in the longer administrative processing, your status would say "Administrative Processing". When I was waiting for my visa, I had the same status as you for one day and the next, it changed to "Issued", your passport is being sent to you, or something along those lines. You have nothing to worry about

This is not complex at all. This is rather simple.
You can not extend your 90 days on the VWP. That's one of the condition of using the VWP; no extensions.
You don't need a visa if you are already in the US. Visas are for entering the US.
Only a USC can file for a fiance. Green card holders can not file for a fiance.
You can not wait in the US to process for your visa.
Your girl is getting divorced in March. She hasn't file for naturalization which could take a year.
There is only one choice until she becomes a USC. Once her divorce is finalized, you two can get marry and start the immigration process. It will take 1-2 years. She can upgrade the case when she becomes a USC.
There is no path that will get you into the US this year to immigrate. You are looking at end of 2017 or 2018.

It can take up to 3 months to arrive so don't worry if it has been just 23 days.

It depends on the consulate. Montreal, for example, is picky about the AOS and gives 221g forms even if the income is a few hundred or thousand ABOVE poverty guidelines. I've read about COs giving problems go those qualifying only on savings/assets. Read reviews about your consulate.

    Hi,
Yes, the first level people aren't terribly helpful. They just give you scripted answers. You have the right to speak to a supervisor. Usually, this is just the available supervisor on the floor - the first one I spoke to and that handled my case initially was Betty. She wasn't good at all and didn't help our case and make things move faster. The one that helped with the DS-260 processing and CC was Molly. When you call them, you can ask to speak with a supervisor by the name of Molly but that of course depends on whether she's there, if she's free, etc. Give it a try and if it doesn't work, call back the next day and ask to speak to some other supervisor. I'm sure one of them will be able to help. Good luck!

Figured I would register and reply, as I had the same question before converting my license and found this thread while googling for an answer.
You do NOT need to take the knowledge test, even though it doesn't say that anywhere on the website. You have the option of waiving the knowledge test and they'll void your Canadian license. If you want to keep your existing license, then you have to take the knowledge test.
My Nova Scotia license expired on November 3rd so I just voided it. Interestingly, I still had an N on my license (new driver under the graduated system) because I rarely drive and haven't lived in Nova Scotia in years, but converted to a full license that expires concurrent with my TN Visa in 2017. Hope that helps and welcome to DC!

Having my case sent to a supervisor at the NVC helped me. It had been over a month that I completed the DS-260 and still hadn't heard anything back from the NVC. We called after 35-40 days after and supervisor Molly really worked wonders with our case. A week within speaking with her, my case was completed. Is that all that the NVC needs to do - review your DS-260? Or do they need to review your civil documents as well? I had sent my civil documents via email the same time that I sent the AOS documents.

kdc0224 got a reaction from RDJ2PITT in How do I find out if a consulate is friendly to assets?
I wasn't sure if my consulate (Montreal) would accept my joint sponsor because though she made just above their poverty guidelines, she had a lot of assets. The NVC suggested I take another "backup" joint sponsor's I864 with me to the interview. I did and that might have saved me a 221g
There's no way to know for sure but if you want to be on the safe side, just have another joint sponsor in case who makes well above the poverty guidelines.

Is your petitioner a US Citizen or Permanent Resident? I think if it's the latter, then processing at the NVC only starts when your priority date becomes current (depends on your country of chargeability). In any case, it's worth clarifying with the NVC.
